Petee’s Pie Company on Delancey serves up a delightful mix of rustic and modern pies crafted from local ingredients, making every slice a slice of heaven.
"This celebrated pie shop with locations at Delancey, Hell’s Kitchen, and Clinton Hill will offer a dozen of their best flavors for Thanksgiving, including apple, pumpkin, brown-butter honey pecan, and a distinctive black bottom almond chess, flavored with amaretto with a subtle chocolate ganache base well-balanced with the sweet chess filling. Staff favorite is the sweet potato pie, which distinguishes itself with a roasted, molasses-like flavor. Standard pies are $40. Six-inch varieties, available for six flavors, are $18 and available for pickup at all three locations. Petee’s extensive standard menu will also be available on very limited, space-permitting at their locations during the week of Thanksgiving." - Eater Staff, John Tsung
"Petra “Petee” Paradez’s pies don’t just taste amazing—they’re made with amazing ingredients, like seasonal local produce, organic flour, grass-fed butter, and natural fair-trade sweeteners. Those with dietary restrictions can also enjoy: their gluten-free and vegan options are just as delicious. Order a full pie for a special occasion, or stop by the Delancey Street storefront for a single slice—they’re open until 1am on weekends, making it the perfect pit stop on your way to the bars." - Passerbuys
"One peek into this rustic little bakery and you can tell that all the pies are made with love. We recently celebrated a team member's birthday with a magically delectable Salty Chocolate Chess cake. Be sure to ask about the gluten-free options available. We'd also suggest stepping in to try samples of all the pies they make as they offer the option to mix slices!" - Barrel
"Anyone who knows me knows that I am bonkers obsessed with Petee’s Pie Company, a sweet, sunny café in Manhattan that specializes in a different sort of New York slice: the fruit- and custard-filled varieties. I plan my whole life around these pies. When I was looking for a salon to frequent for my monthly haircut, I decided on a location that was a five-minute walk from Petee’s because I could get a slice of apple crumb or banana cream after my appointment. I take the J Train to the airport even though it’s not the most direct route because it picks me up close to Petee’s—and I can get my fill before I leave for Petee’s Pie–less destinations. In the fall, I bring pumpkin pie to Friendsgiving, and in the summer, key lime pie to the first picnic of the season. I’m the designated Pie Person within my circle of friends and I consider this the highest honor." - ByEsra Erol
