"Friendly staff, good beer, and a fresh deli selection to hit the spot. But, if you're asking me, it's all in the seating. Single people of the world love a place to grab a bite and sit down, cafeteria-style. Part-time deli, part-time craft beer fridge, Park Terrace Deli is the spot to eat while obnoxiously observing college athletes depart from the nearby track and football field. 'I could run like that,' you lie to yourself, while enjoying three eggs and cheese on a plain bagel. You might buy you cereal here, you might get a panini for later. Who knows? Then an Allen hospital staff member comes in, probably just off saving lives, and orders a salad. Whatever, you love bodegas. You'll buy an apple before you leave." - Jeanne Henry

Google
I recently visited this amazing deli, and I can't stop raving about it! The sandwiches are absolutely delicious, packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients that make every bite a joy. The juices are incredibly refreshing, made with real fruits that are perfectly blended for the ultimate taste. The quality of everything they serve is top-notch, and you can tell they truly care about providing the best experience for their customers. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and fantastic food make this place a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Google
Absolutely disgusting service. I paid for a sandwich, chips, and a juice. This cashier named Hassan doesn’t return exact change. I paid with a $20.00 bill and he kept my penny. I was due 51 cents in change. I was given only 50 cents, Absolutely disgusting service, if they are keeping everyones change and not returning pennys, imagine how much they are profiting. Do not shop here.

Google
Go here everytime I get the chance too and they have amazing sandwiches, snacks and juices.. the sandwiches are $10 but it still tastes good! 😊

I've been going here since I was younger. My favorite deli is the city. Great sandwiches and salads. Staff are chill.

Google
Love this place! Great deli sandwiches and salads, they have a really good selection of snacks and cold drinks, and the customer service is top flight. The guys that work there are always friendly and helpful. There are maybe 4 barstools so don’t count on eating there, but sometimes it works out. It’s more of a takeout spot. My son loves the chicken parm sandwich among others.

Google
This is a great deli. The staff r hardworking, polite at all times. Can't imagine not having them. Their like family. My only issue is when I order something like eggs etc. and at arrival it has the taste of something else like onions. Different utensils when cooking is essential. One for eggs, another for your onions n peppers etc. Don't like tasting other goods in my specific order.

Google
This use to be my favorite spot, but now I’m realizing a few things. They can be a hit or miss. When they are not busy, the food can be good. When they are busy, they rushed through everything and the stuff taste just okay. They’re overpriced for the quality, taste and service to be just okay. The men cooking and preparing the food isn’t that friendly or welcoming. They need to hire women. They can work on their customer service. They are good for convenience. They don’t clean their juice machine well. So if you’re a juice or smoothie fanatic, go somewhere that specializes in it. Today my smoothie was blended well. I still had chunks of bananas in my mouth. They didn’t clean or switch out the tongs after making the last salad that had meat and cheese. I’m vegan.

Google
First time ordering from this deli, and I must say I will NEVER EVER EVER order anything else again. I am trying to upload a picture so everyone can see it for themselves, but of course it won’t let me. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, so disappointed !

Yelp
Got something from yet another one of these delis. It also happens to be a grocery store with quite a lot. Park View Deli is located in Inwood on 218th. Has quite a lot for not being that big. There's beer, prepackaged foods, and of course the counter where they make sandwiches. Convenient to get groceries and some things to go. It's not that bad of prices for the deli stuff. There's lots of things to choose from, salads and lots of sandwiches including wraps. It's about $9 for deli items. The one we got was the Mediterranean Veggie Wrap. Best one of the vegetarian choices. This has cucumbers, green peppers, hummus, lettuce, olives, and onions. Has a counter at the window with a few seats you can eat at. It's limited but it's usually not that busy here. They have convenience foods as well as a surprising amount of things for vegans and vegetarians.

Yelp
Best deli in its neighborhood. It has a few stools, but mostly you'll want it to go. The store has a surprisingly large selection of most needs especially considering how small it is. A couple registers always ready to check you out. Just off Broadway. 1 block from the 1.

Giselle G.

Yelp
I came here because my car was being serviced and this was the only place to get food. I am very happy I came here and I would definitely be back if I'm in the area. I ordered a turkey sandwich which I must say was very fresh. The only thing is I ordered onions and I did not receive any onions in the sandwich. Besides that I did enjoy the sandwich. The packaging was very nice and they also gave me a pickle which was individually wrapped. I know these are minor things but they make the experience for me as a customer pleasant.

Kai W.

Yelp
They are a hit or miss. When they are good, it's good. But don't go when it's busy or when they are rushing. Then it won't be the best, it will be okay. They also don't clean the juice machine well. So if you're a juice or smoothie fanatic, go to a juice bar or place that really specializes in it. They should take their time and put more care into what they are making. My smoothie was just okay today, not fully blended. I had chunks of bananas in it. When making my salad, they didn't change the tongs after making someone else salad with meat and cheese. I am vegan. Unsanitary. They can also do better in the customer service department. They cooks are not friendly or welcoming.

Ilana Z.

Yelp
Co-worker ordered food for himself and me and I opened my sandwich and the chicken was completely RAW!!! Thank goodness I looked before taking a bite. Will never return. Should be assessed by the health department.

Lady B.

Yelp
overpriced and mediocre - the words that come to mind when thinking about this place. It's fine to visit in a pinch, like in a situation when all other food places in Manhattan are closed. But be prepared to overpay for that unpriced tub of ice cream and innocuous bottle of plain seltzer. 6 packs of beer are literally cheaper on freshdirect! o also, I cannot count the number of times I've been 'accidentally' overcharged. Keep an eye on not only the items on the receipts but also the quantity of each item before swiping your card at checkout. Plus sides: the place looks clean and the staff are nice!

Yelp
My daughter was playing field hockey across the street at Columbia University and before heading home we needed some quick nourishment. We walked over with a couple of her teammates and took a couple minutes to figure out what we wanted. My daughter decided to go with a Grilled chicken quesadilla and I ordered the Soprano sandwich and got it a bit personalized-ham, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and I got balsamic instead of Italian dressing. Both of us really liked our sandwiches...even if I had to eat mine while driving. The service here was a little disjointed and slow, but once we figured it all out we got our food and were on our way. This deli is also a little. It of a bodega so if you're a local you could pick up a bit more food as well. Hoping my daughter plays here again next summer so I can go back!

Samuel B.

Yelp
Serious health and sanitation issues. I am a long-time resident of Inwood and work across the street from the deli. Been coming here for 6+ years! My co-workers and I were very disturbed last week and this weekend when we noticed that the cashier at the counter had peeling skin, growths all over his hands (clearly a bad infection) yet he was still handling food! As someone who works in the healthcare industry, it was very clear and beyond disturbing that someone with a condition like this should not be handling food without gloves... It's very simple, if you have a infection like this, you don't handle food. end of story. The management of Park Terrace needs to take this seriously. Its beyond disturbing. It also didnt help that the cashier had a hard time seeing / reading so he was especially touching all items extensively. Very disgusting. Sure this place is convenient but has a long history of sanitation concerns.

Yelp
We were viewing apartments in the area and randomly checked them out. Seems to be clean and definitely above average. The best part is they have White Claw Hard Seltzer and Rebel Ice Cream, which is pretty hard to find, I know coz I've been looking all over! So we walked away with White Claw Mango and the Rebel Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavors. Please keep it up and never run out of stock! More flavors would be great too!

Heather G.

Yelp
My new favorite spot when I work at 215th. The caprese sandwich is delicious. Their BLT is a little lettuce heavy but also tasty. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.

Murugesan S.

Yelp
A well stocked, clean, grocery...but.. My biggest complaint is how straight up stingy they are with cream cheese on their bagels. ( See picture ) Cream cheese is smeared on so thin that it's almost comical. Listen I'm not expecting Russ and Daughters level bagel but put enough cream cheese to cover my bagel! It's cream cheese not Caviar! On a related note...their sandwiches have hefty price tags but skimpy portions as well. A recent chicken sandwich, the cook creatively stretched out 1/2 cutlet over entire hero loaf! Why even bother.... I know your Deli is in the middle of a dining desert...but stop being a bunch of cheapskates.

Bernice N.

Yelp
Im just gonna say they have alot going on in this location. They have alot of food choices, a salad bar, coffee, juices, just alot of options for you to choice. My friend and I decided to go chill on the park and grab a quick bite to eat. We got a chicken quesadilla and left. The guys in the store that took our order was cool, but heres the problem, we got ready to eat our food and boom, they but american cheese on it. Gross! Where they do that at. We were ready to walk right back to the store, but we so hungry, we decided to eat it anyway, we didnt finish it. So my advice for you is yes everything they have may sound good, but make sure you ask what exactly are they putting in your order. She also got a piece of strawberry cheesecake that she thought was ok.

Heather W.

Yelp
This is seriously the WORST burger I've ever had. I ordered a 'crispy bacon cheddar burger' and it was missing bacon; the burger itself was as hard as a rock. I could barely chew it!!! See photo. It is beyond me why this deli counter is always so busy. I would have returned this if not so far away.

Antonia M.

Yelp
Could be friendlier. But they have a decent coffee selection (in store, not on seamless). Can find organic roasts here not found in most supermarkets.

Patrick R.

Yelp
They delivered moldy food. Do you need to know anything else? Reporting to the health department.

Frances E.

Yelp
We live down the street and have been looking forward to trying this deli. Unfortunately, while I'm all for supporting local businesses, I don't think we'll be coming back here. We ordered takeout. Nothing was warm, although the sandwiches were pretty good. My husband enjoyed his Reuben in particular. My panini wasn't anything to write home about, but it was fine. My order of fries were, unfortunately, soggy and I wouldn't even count them as fried--completely inedible. I had to throw them all out. Overall, we're pretty disappointed.

SilverStreak 1.

Yelp
New to the neighborhood, I stopped in very early for a couple of breakfast bagel sandwiches. Both were made to order and ready within 5 minutes. Plenty of staff, who were all friendly. Great selection. However, my bacon was way overcooked. But the eggs were good and excellent bagels. I'll still go back. Would recommend.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I never write reviews but this one is special. Ordered a plain sandwich with get this now 3 ingredients (I know WOW). Hard salami, ham, and Muenster cheese. Yes that's it that's all. On a roll (not warmed up) with no condiments what so ever. Had to repeat order twice only to realize after paying and leaving that I received the wrong salami (Genoa and not hard). Decided to go back only to have the person that prepared my sandwich want to argue with me to the extent of pulling out both a piece of Genoa and hard salami to show me the difference. Left the sandwich right there and walked away. Hope that $8.50 goes a long way.

Grant M.

Yelp
I'm updating my old review. This place has gone way downhill. Can't get food orders right to save their life. Have given them multiple chances but I am now I'm giving up on them. Deli crew don't give a shit. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Sherrice B.

Yelp
The food and service and selections are amazing, a little pricey but it's worth it. Don't hesitate to try out this deli. And try the MTA.

Tiffany S.

Yelp
Hands-down one of the best deli sandwiches I've had in a very long time. The fresh sesame Italian hero bread and the fresh cold cuts are amazing. I would've added a pic, but I couldn't help myself. Highly recommend l!!!

Drast I.

Yelp
One unprofessional associate from Park Deli was extremely rude and discriminating. I would never recommend this dump to anyone if they knew and cared about themselves.

Jim S.

Yelp
It's our local deli and we are hooked. When you have a feeling of wanting a late night snack or just forgot something they have it here. There are paninis, salads, juice bar and lots of snack and other items. They also have some of the unique items you might not find other places like chocolate covered graham crackers and Big Gay Ice Cream by the pint or non- dairy ice cream. For a small place it was great. Delivery is fast and service is great. If we have a problem with an item - the replacement/credit is done fast. Staff is friendly with a lot of orders being delivered or take out for local events at the park or Columbia's sporting facilities. Price is a little more expensive than a larger grocery store but this isn't your local bodega. It's a big step up.

Rosie W.

Yelp
Probably one of the nicest delis I've been to. Great food (to order), good grocery selection, nice staff, great environment (clean/nice space), and easy check out. Can't recommend it enough if you're passing through. Top notch bodega!

Jessie J.

Yelp
I am sad that I have to give this place a bad review. I've had many good experiences ordering from here but today I can say I'm absolutely disgusted and will NEVER order from here again. I ordered pancakes, I was working on my last one and felt something rough in my mouth while chewing a piece. Spit it out right away and to my surprise it was a triangular piece of something... Seems to be cardboard. There is nothing that will convince me to order from there again. One thing I won't tolerate is having crap in my food.

Marina C.

Yelp
This deli used to serve decent sandwiches years ago, but the quality has definitely gone down. There aren't that many restaurants within walking distance from NYP. Also, Park terrace is the cheaper alternative for lunch or dinner if you're looking for something quick. I've only tried one of their sandwiches years ago, it was just okay. If you're starving, it's not bad, but it's no different than any average deli meat on a roll. They don't make interesting combos and they're cheap on the meat. L used to like Park Terrace; he still orders a hero if he has O.T.. It's the healthier alternative considering what's in the area, but he usually gets sick from just a sandwich. Seriously, who gets sick from sandwiches?? Get rid of your old meats and bread! Prices are kinda high for the location.

Amalie B.

Yelp
Best deli in the hood. Bougie but for the proletariat. Legit snacks, decent sandwiches. Ice cream selection is expansive. Folks here are friendly.

John K.

Yelp
Update: how do you give a customer burnt turkey bacon?!? (××) I didn't spend $2.99 for charcoal Rating would be a lot worse, but I know how good this place usually is This, this'll just make me think twice about coming here again

M. V.

Yelp
I smile each time I walk by Park Terrace Deli -- or, am behaving like an ill-mannered couch sloth and order from here instead of cooking. Here are the indisputable facts: PTD is a solid bodega that has been brilliantly retrofitted with food and treats for the health conscious, including a sweet menu of drinks (Kombucha, coconut waters, etc.)! Given the location (ahem, sanitation depot, train yard, the BX bridge, gas station, and acres of Columbia University playground), PTD is a diamond in the rough. The staff are super friendly. The snack selection is ample. The grill food is consistently good, especially for a deli. For some of the luxury items, you'll pay a premium (because bodega), but luckily there are enough options for you to get regular ol' deli eats, coffee, and the bare essentials at shruggable prices. Seems like other reviewers have had different experiences. Maybe change your expectations? This is a f$@8ing deli after all. Honestly, if you're giving this place poor marks because you expected a Zagat-rated experience, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe don't eat from a bodega?

Michael N.

Yelp
A price gouging suspicious so called deli. Cashing in on Columbia events while over pricing locals with a deceiving questionable rotating staff. BEWARE.

Dabig H.

Yelp
1. They will always forget something 2. They follow you around the store like they know you'll steal cause your black 3. Horrible

Carlos O.

Yelp
Love coming to this store after a few baseball games at Inwood Park. This store is one of the best deli's i been to very spacious and clean inside. The only thing that i wish they can fix is the price on certain stuff a bit to over the top. I usally just buy energy drinks and water most of the times i come in here. I did also try their salads they have fresh vegetable and products you might want to try them if your in the Inwood Section.

Stephy R.

Yelp
I have seen this deli before and always thought it looked nice. I live on the corner of Broadway/Dyckman (200th) but I thought I'd try out their breakfast. Let me start by saying I knew because I was ordering my food wouldn't be piping hot. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with applewood bacon which comes with home fries & toast. I placed my order at 11:25am, the estimated delivery was 12:05pm. At around 12:15pm I hadn't received anything or a notice from the restaurant that the delivery person was running behind. When I called no one answered at Park Terrace Deli. I called Seamless at 12:25pm to ask what I should do or if I could cancel the order. They spoke with someone and Park Terrace said my food would be here by 12:45pm , 1hr & 20mins after ordering. My food arrived at 12:35pm, the container it was packaged in was bent in the middle, and the food was squished in the corner. It was cold. I won't make the mistake of ordering from here again. They could have at least called or done me the courtesy of canceling my order.

Thomas C.

Yelp
Love this place. Good food, nice portion size, friendly staff and fast delivery. Their selection of food is great and always fresh.

NIC J.

Yelp
THE WAIT IS ALWAYS LONG--This place is super SLOW! It's takes 30 minutes for them to do ANYTHING and then they tell you it's because people called before you. They will also make orders for their regulars before you even if you've ordered first. I tried going multiple times to make sure it wasn't a fluke and I waited very long every time. Also everything so expensive--paid $6 for a water and small coffee. The bright side---they do have a nice selection of health foods and snacks and lots of varieties of chips.

Kelli B.

Yelp
This place has really good food and I've been ordering from there for years but today the delivery service I received was absolutely horrible! I literally waited an hour in a half for my order mind you I only live 11 blocks away. ( second time this has happened) When I finally received my order half of my coffee was literally spilled in the bag that when I actually opened my coffee only half was In there and my food was all tossed around In the container. The food is always delicious but this delivery wait time and the way my food was delivered to me is going to make me NEVER want to order from here again.

Los B.

Yelp
The worst customer service ever. When you place an order over the phone for delivery, they don't even acknowledge your order, till you call and complain about the excessive wait time. They mess up your orders and give attitude when you call back to ask about the food your placed for delivery 40-50 mins ago. Once they finally decided to deliver the food they lie and say they are downstairs so you have to wait for them instead of them waiting for you.

Anuse C.

Yelp
I order online from their deli. I stop by here to buy snacks. They are open late and always friendly. Great little place.

Ed H.

Yelp
This is our premier GO TO store and deli on Inwood Hill. You literally couldn't live in this neighborhood without park terrace deli! Features all the groceries you need. Plus a ton of cool gourmet brands. Plus a killer salad bar and deli. Plus they deliver!!!! Hours are almost always open. And the staff is super friendly and cool. ESSENTIAL STORE. FIVE STARS!

Rockey N.

Yelp
Park Terrace Deli is the Championship Deli in this part of Inwood! Consistent, reliable with a terrific variety of hot and cold deli eats! Some my favorites are The MTA and NYPD Blue Specialty Combo Sandwiches, Eggplant Parmigiana, Falafel, smoothies, salad and muffins galore!!!

Optimistic M.

Yelp
This is the second time I placed an order and the cook pretended he didn't hear me. I sat there for almost an hour twice smh. I will not go here again. I told him and he told the other cook but pretended he didn't here me and the funny thing it was the same guy.

Joshua D.

Yelp
I order from here whenever I come home from a late shift. Delivery is usually fast but the orders usually get messed up. Once ordered a salad they forgot the dressing and toppings I've selected and still have gotten charged for it. They sometimes use old bacon on blt sandwiches for sure. This place is great for late night last resorts.

Y S.

Yelp
Pretty good store, haven't tried the food there, but they have a pretty decent beer and snack selection. Just had a fresh juice made with beets, carrots, apples and ginger. It was great. Gotta try their coffee soon.

Raine H.

Yelp
Placed an order through Seamless, ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and an iced coffee with skim milk. I received a bagel that was basically dry, and a coffee that was basically black. When I called to complain, the person I spoke to told me that "skim milk never changes the color of coffee" and that he's not surprised the order was messed up because apparently, the cooks were distracted by the soccer game that was on. I'm not kidding. He then said he will send another order over, that was 30 mins ago and I'm still waiting. Very disappointed.

D M.

Yelp
I generally like shopping and ordering from this establishment. I've done so for years. However today I attempted to order in person and they were so busy they couldn't turn around to see me. Two young men entered without masks and one went directly to the deli and ordered a bagel. I said that I was next to order and the cook addressed me saying that the young man works there. I don't know what this had to do with safety or me ordering, but he directed me to order through another cook who could not see me over the counter. I've never experienced this kind of attitude especially when there was no line for the deli, only one person waiting on an order. I understand that the uptick in home delivery has put an impact on this place but I'm one of the few people who actually tips the cooks or guys at the register.

Cara B.

Yelp
Seems clean and I got good service. I've only been there once but I wouldn't go back; the bread sucks. It's just like regular white bread in the shape of a hero, like stuff they would give you in the Midwest or something. This is New York, come on, get some decent bread and the sandwiches would be good.

Chelsea R.

Yelp
Park Terrace Deli and I have this sick relationship where I order what ever I want, and they deliver it right to my door. Sandwiches, breakfast, cat food, beer, and anything else I desire. Aside from further promoting my laziness, Park Terrace Deli hasn't ever done a thing wrong! Prices aren't the cheapest, but you're getting quality product, great service and a damn good sandwich. They're open late and the employees are nice and helpful - Even when it is obvious that they are drowning in delivery/pick-up orders, they always have a smile on their faces. Thanks for being my savior when I wake up in dire need of a ham & cheese, large black coffee and oh - laundry detergent.

Cindil R.

Yelp
First, let me start by saying that I was PSYCHED by the good reviews this place has. Being a native Michigander from right outside of Detroit, I have been longing for real middle eastern food ever since I've moved to this city (the lackluster food from street carts doesn't count, either). So, based on the recommendations, I ordered a falafel pita...and a gyro, because I wanted to test that out as well. I have to say - I was gravely disappointed by the falafel. Park Terrace makes green falafel (chickpeas, parsley, and spices) - the falafel was burnt to a crisp and so dry it was practically inedible. To add insult to injury, the sauce they try to pass for Tahini sauce is a joke. It's lumpy, bland and somewhat watery. The icing on the cake? The pita. The pita was soggy and had a rubbery texture - an indication that it has been sitting around in a hot kitchen for far too long. Sadly, I can't say anything much better about the Gyro. it was served on the same lackluster, soggy, and rubbery pita with tomatoes that tasted as if they were starting to go bad. The lamb was well seasoned (I'll give them that), but overall the sandwich was incredibly disappointing. Now, I will admit, this is my first time eating here. So, in true Midwestern fashion I'm willing to give them another chance...just not anytime soon.

Jordan H.

Yelp
The sandwiches are pretty good, but this place really picks up the slack with it's selection of beer. Every time I go in they've gotten more interesting microbrews. The prices are a little high for a bodega, but considering the location and selection they're not that bad. A couple of other nice things: they're open until midnight, the deli is all Boar's Head and they'll deliver anything in the store (including cigarettes & beer, if you enjoy the same vices I do).
