Papagayo Cocktails & Food

We didn't grab any food here, but it smelled good! And looked good on other people's tables. We did have a few drinks as part of a little cocktail crawl around the neighbourhood. This was our second stop as I have walked by many times, and it always looked so appealing. They really know how to draw a curious eye! So, we sat and ordered a signature and classic cocktails. Both were pretty good. Nothing amazing or exceptionally creative, but enjoyable enough. And strong! The classic penicillin was well made. The problem was the service. It started out good, but it's like when they realised we weren't getting food, they just forgot or ignored us for the rest of the time. We waited and waited. We probably would have ordered another cocktail had someone come by sooner. But by the time I have up and had to walk up to the bar to ask for the bill, it was too late. I don't think we would return based on that. I know it wasn't going to be a big earning table but a little bit of attention would have been nice. It calls itself a cocktail bar and restaurant but doesn't seem to care about customers who only want drinks. Unfortunate because their cocktails are worth a try.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Didn’t know what to expect. The concept of this place is to enjoy the tastes of food around the world. We had amazing cocktails the espresso and the oriental - amazing flavors. The dishes were unique and delicious, we had the curry prawns and the beef dish, wow, it was delicious. Worth the stop.

Nicely decorated space with great service and tasty food. The vibe is calm and relaxing. 4 stars as the portions were a bit small for my taste and there are no warm drinks

Wow!!! Highly recommended! A nice place with the most friendly owners! It is a little bit more expensive than other places, but there is a reason: the food is super fresh and the dishes are a little bite more special! I loved the ceviche and the beef tartare! Will come back! 😍

Amazing and excellent food , the oysters and the egg plant was amazing !! The waiter and the cook were really nice and helpful!! Absolutely recommended 💯

We walked by and were taken by the look and feel. Checked the card and reviews, they don’t lie. Such a good place, all in all a 9 out of 10 (yes always room for improvement). No for real a 10, exceeded my our expectations. And recommended wine was excellent 👌

Excellent service and even better food. Every item on the menu looked fantastic. Ate the tuna tartar, crockets, patatas bravas and oysters and all was super!

This place exceeded expectations that were already high. A recommendation from a great cocktail bar, the food was stellar, the drinks fantastic, and service even better. The chicken skewers were unbelievably good.
