If you're expecting authentic Italian cuisine, this place doesn't deliver. While it may be considered a regular restaurant, it's definitely not the spot for true Italian food. The pizza dough was bland and lacked flavor, and though the cheese was decent, the spaghetti seemed like packaged pasta instead of fresh. The sauce and meat were passable, but nothing special. They attempted a modern twist on tiramisu, but it didn’t quite hit the mark. The only highlight was the cappuccino, which I really enjoyed. On a positive note, the ambiance inside was pleasant. However, we were told there would be a half-hour wait at the bar, which was fine, but it was disappointing when we were then seated at a bar table instead of a regular table, requiring us to wait even longer.

I was passing by the restaurant almost every day, and is busy most of the time, so I decided to give it a try. They have classic Italian food, and a small market type of store when you enter, where you can buy various Italian goods, like limoncelo etc. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Service was attentive and fast with all the requests. And food was amazing, tasted fresh and delicious, without being overwhelming. I tried the carpaccio, bruscetta, burrata pesto and the polpette di vitello ( meatballs in tomato sauce). Dishes came fast, even though it was busy at the moment, and the food was very well prepared and tasty. Also I was told that their pizza and pasta dishes are also very nice. If you like good, classic Italian food, and value a good service, I would highly recommend the place!

My first time here and Not disappointed at all. Went to celebrate my daughter's graduation and we all loved the place. The food was good, service superb. It's a place to go to.

We arrived there a bit late and told them in advance. They were super accommodating and the food and vibes were amazing

Delicious Chicken Sandwich. The chicken is well-marinated and grilled to give extra aroma. Served on a rustic brown bread with salad. Good combination. The restaurant is big with different vibes. *A male staff came in the Ladies to the private access door is strange.

Just WOW. ABSOLUTELY amazing and delicious place and market place with truly Italian cuisine. Menu is not too complicated and everything is served fresh and hot. Must visit and revisit. And after the meal go to their local market with Italian touch- we got amazing pistachio panettone!

The place has an industrial look with beton and metal constructions. It's softened up by the decor and the myriad of candles which gives it a cozy feeling. Modern and trendy. It's suitable.both for groups and for couples. The food is an "adjusted" Italian food. The octopus was cooked well, not rubbery just a tad over but not overcooked. However, the octopus bruschetta was overcomplicated, with the octopus sitting on a burrata and garnished with pesto sauce. Same for the caponata: nice cutting of the veggies but over the top with the addition of burrata and arugula. The gnocchi: I asked if they were made in house and in spite of the positive answer I have my doubt: they were quite tough, I suspect that even if made on site they had been frozen. The taleggio accompanying the sauce was nowhere to be found. The pizza with radicchio and taleggio would have been fine, had it not been for the mountain of arugula and balsamic vinegar. All in all, it's an ok experience: I would suggest not overcomplicating things in the attempt to be fancy. Italian cuisine is simple is nature as its strenght lies in the excellency of the ingredients. Less is more.

Osteria Vicini is one of the better Italian restaurants in Rotterdam. Situated in Kralingen, it has a wonderful open dining space with a great atmosphere where you can enjoy a nice pizza or pasta with a drink. The service wasn’t that quick, but if you want to carve out some time with friends or family, this is a good pick!
