New Mt Pilgrim MB Church

I first visited New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in 2019. On Chicago's west side you'll find this beautiful and historic structure. This is not only a gorgeous edifice, it also is an important institution in a large part of the community. Providing programs, community development and multiple ministries for the community at large. Built in 1911, and designed by architect Charles L. Wallace. The Sanctuary is voluminous and unique. The recently created rose and transept art glass windows are beautiful and iconic.

I live near this church and can always hear the choir singing while I’m working from home. They remind me of my grandmother’s church choir. Brings back so many memories. I’ve been thinking about going back to church and have been wanting to attend this one since I moved to this neighborhood. Is there service on the weekend? Or just during the week?

The congregation is warm and welcoming to visitors. This church gave me a warm and friendly place to worship and do as is in 2 Peter 3:18; “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”

Rev. Hatch is saving lives in the community. This church has help humble me. There's no big "I "or little "U "when you visit this church. The congregation is friendly, they make you feel like family.The choir is amazing just wish the instruments wouldn't drown them out all the time. Bible study is always inspirational. Please come,I guarantee you will feel GOD presence

Im Puerto Rican but wen I go there wif my hubby.we r very welcome by everyone. I also like wen dey give us feedback on relationships n addiction. We will b going back every chance we get. We feel blessed just being around dem nationality doesn't matter once we walk in through da door.

It's where me and my wife were baptized me for the second time as an adult the first time i had no choice i was a child it's a very good church home
