We feel incredibly lucky to have such an excellent, well-curated, powerful museum and cultural space in our area. We (two non-Cambodians) scheduled a private tour with Kaoru who was respectful, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She guided us through the stories of those who lived during the genocide, teaching us history and helping us make connections on our own. The new elephant ceramics exhibit done by a local intern, elder ceramicist who practiced originally in Cambodia, and community members was fantastic. The power and intention behind the Killing Field memorial was tangible. The community influence and focus of the space is clear, and we look forward to supporting this group however we can in the future. Calling may be the easiest way to schedule your tour in advance, as is required post COVID.

Only way to enter now is ring a doorbell. Very old gentleman that does not seem to work there. He checked with a woman and then started the tour. Very small, but great statues. No gift shop. I felt it could be better even when I’m Khmer.

So much incredible history with extremely friendly and knowledgeable people to guide you through the museum! Highly recommend this. It's the only Killing Fields memorial outside of Cambodia.

Very proud to serve this community and a museum that is currently the only one outside of Cambodia that is focused on the Cambodian genocide. It is a beautiful space for our survivors for healing, ans many of our art and music program is held here

You will learn about the Khmer Rouge regime and how it effected Cambodia. The people who show you the space also provide you with stories and in some cases, personal experiences. Go check this place out if you are interested in learning about how Khmer people survived and continue to build strength from tragedy.
