Amazing coffee, brewed with skill and dedication. Delicious desserts, you can taste the quality and see attention to detail. Service was excellent, kind, smiling and very positive. Great place for a break to relax and catch the moment. Will definitely come back.

Good products and good coffee, however, I have to say that the customer service is lousy, really the guy who works on Sunday morning seems to be doing you the privilege of serving you, it has been a very unpleasant feeling and have not made me want to return just for the attention that is not friendly. It was as if they were doing me a favor. I will not come back! A pity.

Outside seating in winter? No blankets or infrared heating …other people look at you from head to toe doesn’t bother me but maybe you? I came for some spices and ended up having a coffee and cake and paying royally for the experience. It seems to be the norm in that part of town. My first and last visit. I asked for a refill of tap water for my bottle and was looked as if I came from mars!

Cinnamon rolls could be better but it had nice relaxing vibe!

I have been living in Hamburg for quite a while now. I like to be a free spirit in different cafes around the city, as I really enjoy a change of scenery while working. But I just have to say something about the Eppendorf location (Motherland). You rarely meet friendly staff here. Sure, the guys and gals here aren't rude - but they're not friendly either. The staff is usually rather awkward. If you just want a coffee from the portafilter and a piece of cake, alright, no problem. You can get that on every corner in Hamburg. But price-performance and flair? It's noisy (right next to the main street), you have poor to no service. The coffee really doesn't taste as good as at Elbgold, for example, and if you want a filter coffee 1.5 hours before closing time, you're looked at stupidly and fobbed off with an answer à la: It's no longer worth it. If you want a small selection of vegan brownies and are willing to pay 7.50 EUR or more for a small coffee, please feel free. But there are really nicer places with much nicer and more accommodating staff in Eppendorf/Eimsbüttel :)

Great place for any meal of the day! Breakfast is great with muesli and the big breakfast selection at the top! It’s a child-friendly place although they only have one seat for kids, so make sure you ask for it from the start. Very friendly staff and a little shop with delicious treats, coffee, tea, sweets, marmalade and jams, etc. If you’re looking for a gift to get someone from Hamburg, this is a good place to find it as well.

Busy little breakfast place. If you come for brunch on Sunday and don't have a reservation, you are sure to be waiting in line. Good food and GREAT jam. Very cozy and nice atmosphere!

Good menu but very slow service. Also, they have to rearrange their table settings inside! Some customer thinks it's too awkward and uncomfortable to share a table with strangers!

I love Mutterland. The food is ALWAYS fresh, the atmosphere wonderful. The only reason I don't give it 5/5 stars, is because I think they need more seating.
