"Cartagena's Museum of Modern Art (Museo de Arte Moderno de Cartagena) contains a somewhat modest collection of about 300 works, most of which are paintings or sculptures donated by Colombian and other Latin American artists, including Enrique Grau and Oswaldo Vigas. The colonial-era building housing the museum is located within the walls of the historic part of the city; as such, it can easily be included in a morning's or afternoon's explorations, whether independent or guided."

Beautiful place, a nice stop in a hot day, the collection of local artists and what they art represent in the history of the people is excelente. Will help if they have more ventilation air conditioner, but something for sure to do if you have the time

The museum was interesting but there was no ac in any room. The painting should be kept acclimated, since most of them were oil based. Usually you want to sit around and enjoy the place, but it was pretty uncomfortable to stay more than 1 hour.

This is a nice break out of the sun, featuring some interesting pieces of art. It was 8.000 COP/person admission. It won’t take you more than an hour to browse the whole collection. The building itself is quite lovely.

Good small museum but 2nd floor for a new exhibit setup was closed so only half the art. Good art overall with South American art and sculptures. Very inexpensive plus banos and fans. Worth a stop on a hot day.
