Mavericks is a stylish Montauk steakhouse overlooking Fort Pond, serving up fresh seafood and top-notch steaks alongside killer cocktails in a chic atmosphere.
"The best steak in Montauk, and the best martini, is at Mavericks. You can get dressed up. It's great for a date night. It took over a space that was there for so long. They really did a good job with it, because the vibes are just so good. There's a piano player now. You can settle in with a good martini, some piano, and a nice steak. In fact, we should do a cast girls' dinner out there soon. It's perfect for that."—DO" - brennan carley
"Did Montauk need another see-and-be-seen restaurant with weekenders eager to flex their outfits, spending habits, and entourages? Absolutely not. But if we had to have another sceney restaurant in the mix, we could do a lot worse than Mavericks. Most things at this seafood-focused steakhouse are solid, like bone-in tuna ribeye served like a steak with a spicy harissa sauce for dipping, crunchy fried chicken with caviar, and locally made pasta tossed with gently cooked lobster. Cocktails are also top-notch, like the espresso martini with cold brew and a hint of mint to prep you for dancing along to the live music on weekends. " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

"Montauk’s seafood-focused steakhouse is practically designed for big group feasts, dressing up, and splurging on caviar service and raw bar towers. You can share pretty much everything on the menu, like fish prepared steakhouse style (bone-in tuna ribeye and swordfish sirloin), steaks, chops, and a Southampton maitake mushroom steak marinated in 20-year Jerez sherry. You can book a table for up to 14 people, and private dining is also available for groups over 10. " - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation
"Vanessa Price, the wine director of Wildflower Farms, and James Beard-nominated chef Jeremy Blutstein have co-opened Mavericks, a waterfront restaurant on Fort Pond in Montauk. Dine on surf and turf while enjoying the sunset on the deck, or indoors under an original Andy Warhol screen print." - Elise Taylor
