Mas Tacos is a cozy, no-frills spot where you can devour delicious tacos on a charming patio, sip big margaritas, and soak up an inviting vibe.
"Teresa Mason parlayed her success with one of Nashville’s very first food trucks into a wildly popular East Nashville restaurant. Mas Tacos Por Favor serves affordable tacos and some of the best soups in the city, as well as interesting daily specials (think Mexican hot chocolate whoopie pies and pickled cactus tacos with chorizo) and delicious drinks." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Eater Staff
"Begin with the gold standard: Mas Tacos tortilla soup. This impeccable chicken soup — topped with crispy tortilla strips, queso fresco, fresh corn, and avocado — is a staple in Nashville. If you don’t know it, you either don’t like soup or just moved here. Also on the daily menu is the zingy pozole verde: a chicken-and-hominy stew flavored with tomatillos, fresh cilantro, and green chilies. It’s bright, citrusy, and satisfying." - Ashley Brantley, Jackie Gutierrez-Jones
"We don’t talk enough about Mas Tacos Por Favor, a small, cash-only taco shop in . That’s probably because we want to gatekeep it for ourselves, but this place still makes some of the best tacos in the city. You can’t go wrong with any of them, but definitely get some tortilla soup and at least one elote per person. You should probably get lunch and hang out on the patio whenever you’re in East Nashville, especially after you’ve had a few drinks at The Pharmacy beer garden next door. " - Team Infatuation

"Mas Tacos owner Teresa Mason helped kick off the modern food truck craze in Nashville from a 1970s Winnebago. Today, she runs her business out of a brick-and-mortar shop in Greenwood, but you can still occasionally find the truck on the road and at local events. Whether you visit the tiny, tastefully decorated restaurant or the Winnebago, look for the tortillas filled with pork, fried fish, or sweet potato and quinoa. And don’t miss the elote and homemade chicken tortilla soup, brightened by cherry tomatoes, avocado, and generous squeezes of lime."
