Marisqueira Antiga

The lobster at Marisqueira Antiga was fresh and flavorful, adding to an already great experience. The combination of delicious seafood, a lovely atmosphere, and the staff’s kindness—especially with our kids—made it a place worth remembering. The kids even got to play with the fish and shellfish in the tanks, which was a fun and unique experience!

Don’t miss Marisqueira Antiga for some old world charm, traditional service, and some of the best seafood you’ll have anywhere. The lobster was delicious and the salted shrimp and Algarve shrimp out of this world! Enjoy!

got scammed on the bill. don’t trust the good reviews. seafood freshness was average but ok but nothing special that justifies the price (100+ per head). inadmissible for what you pay. cannot trust staff on accurately charging the seafood you get. we only got 6 small langoustines (one per person), see picture. and were charged 140€ for it (175€/kg). should have been below 80€ no mater what… on top of it the langoustines were not good. flesh was already hardening and way too salty. big shrimps look big but that’s it. not particularly good. i suspect they are frozen and not fresh. beef was good. rice quantity was limited for the price charged. anyway i’d say this is overpriced and you can find way better elsewhere in porto. very confusing menu as well. avoid avoid avoid !

Fresh seafood, great service, and a classic atmosphere! Esplanada Marisqueira A Antiga is a must-visit for seafood lovers in Matosinhos. The stuffed crab and lobster rice were exceptional, full of flavor and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. The staff was friendly and professional, making the whole experience enjoyable. The restaurant has a traditional feel, and you can tell they take pride in their seafood selection. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. If you're looking for a classic Portuguese seafood experience, this is the place! Would definitely recommend—just be prepared for the bill! 💰

Best place to eat fish and drink white wine. Amazing service and great people! You can pay for the portion that you order, great for sharing and fantastic quality! Definitely recommend from all starters to desserts to finish with a lovely Porto!
