We went there on dinner time and luckily there’s no lineup. We were surprised when we saw the quantity of their bundles/combo. The food was good and the only concern that I have is they have limited option of side dishes. The staff’s are amazing and helpful as well, they even use a torch to make the meat cooked faster. We would surely go back in there!

There wasn’t many side dish options, had to ask for our side dishes to be refilled *twice* because the first guy simply refused to refill it (and he himself said we could get it refilled 3x). The meet was good but the woman also decided for us to put every single one of our beef briskets on the grill at once and we did not ask for it. Maybe asking before would be nice.

Mapo has become my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in Korea Town! The meat was fresh and well-seasoned, and the service was outstanding - the waitstaff were attentive, efficient, and always ready to assist. We chose this place because many Korean stars visiting Toronto have dined here, and it did not disappoint. Will definitely revisit soon!

I visited the restaurant today, and while the vintage '80s décor was charming, my experience was unfortunately disappointing. The kimchi was tasty, but we felt rushed by the waiter. Each time we set down our chopsticks, they would come over asking to grill the meat or adjust the heat, despite my repeated declines as I was still working on another dish. They also used a torch to cook the beef, which ended up slightly burnt. I ordered two meats and one main dish, but the egg and corn cheese remained raw and liquid. When I asked for help, the staff had already removed the grill rack and used the torch again, which resulted in the egg being pulverized—it looked unappetizing and tasted burnt. Additionally, the staff's frequent interruptions made it hard for us to enjoy our conversation. Overall, it was a frustrating dining experience.

I went for a late night snack and on the way to the restaurant I felt a kind of nostalgia. Boyfriend & I were talking about stories from way back when we arrived in Canada as a teenager. We didn’t order much but it was enough. The server was friendly and fast. Even the restaurant decor reminded me of a different time. The food was alright. But the portion is huge. The whole night felt like it belonged to a different time period. A dream, that night, felt to me.

Did not try the meat but I heard the portions are a bit small for the price. But the appetizers are large and filling! The staff are friendly. Everything is very clean and m they provide many delicious free side dishes that are also free refill!

So me and my friend went to this place cause it’s famous to have actors, singers and players visiting before. I’m vegetarian and to be honest I wasn’t expecting much from a barbecue place and they delivered exactly what I expected lol. There aren’t much options for those who don’t eat meat, but we could ordered bibimbaps and a pancake. This is tofu bibimbap, there is nothing special about it, but it was good. Overall I really enjoyed the place and the atmosphere, the decorating is beautiful and unexpected comfy! I wonder where Hyunbin seated here lol

Yesterday, I attended a celebration at a restaurant to mark the birthday of one of my close friends, and it turned out to be an exceptional experience. The food exceeded expectations, but what truly stood out was the impeccable hospitality provided by the servers. Their warmth and friendliness made everyone feel incredibly welcome and at ease throughout the evening. Despite being a group of ten, we were well taken care of by three servers, one of whom I recall by the name John, as I glimpsed it on the bill. Each member of the team, including a lovely lady and two gentlemen, went above and beyond to ensure our enjoyment. Their frequent check-ins with genuine smiles and offers of assistance were greatly appreciated. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly when the servers gathered to sing the birthday song, creating an unforgettable atmosphere filled with joy . It's moments like these that truly elevate a dining experience, and I left with a deep appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the restaurant staff. I'm planning to revisit the restaurant primarily because of the exceptional service they offer. The level of care and attention from the staff truly stood out during my last visit, making it a memorable experience. When service is top-notch like that, it becomes a significant factor in my decision to return. I'm looking forward to enjoying their hospitality once again on my next visit.
