I'm disappointed that I'm posting this review because I went consistently to Luster for a year and encouraged my photographer friends to go there as well. But I recently got some film developed there, and the film scans looked really bad. Luster offered to rescan them, but the rescans weren't much better. I went to get some of my money back and the manager wasn't very understanding. He tried to convince me that I just wanted the scans to be more contrasty, while I tried to show him that the coloring was off, the pictures were hazy, the contrast was barely there, and the cuts were inconsistent. The scans looked like they were from a disposable camera and seemed rushed. Luster did eventually give me some of my money back for the scans, for which I’m grateful, but it was NOT a pleasant experience going back and forth with them. I hoped it could be a more peaceful and mutually understanding experience than it turned out being. The scans are not acceptable for a pro film lab. I took the film to a different lab and this is the difference.

I’m a professional photographer and use Luster for all my film dev/scan needs except for the occasional hand print. They have been reliable for years and are so so quick with beautiful colours too. No frills, no fuss.

Went into Luster yesterday in an impromptu visit. Staff was incredibly friendly, and the turnaround time on developing 35mm film was literally 5 hours! Super fast, superior quality scans, but you definitely pay for that. A bit pricey, but super worth it!

I've been going here for a few years and it was good, but my experience hasn't been great recently. The guy who checked me out was rude and almost all of the three roles of the film were not developed I got $20 in return when I paid $45 and another time I went half my role didn't develop and they gave me $3 in return. I used to love this place but it's just too expensive and not worth it for how much film isn't coming back.

Just had digital prints developed for the first time and could not be happier with the results! The service is fast and the staff are super friendly!

One of the best photo labs in the city too bad there’s one employee here that’s incredibly rude. Days he’s not working the photo lab is the greatest place on earth. If you come here enough you’ll know to avoid that one guy.

These guys were very friendly and went above and beyond with taking my passport photo ($20). Would definitely check here first if I needed any photo-related services again.

Professionals in taking photos, e.g. passport photos. Very nice ladies from the service, they listen carefully and know how to perform a precise photo service. Friendly atmosphere and very professional service. I recommend it to anyone who needs, among others take passport or document photos and immediately receive them in an electronic version by e-mail.
