What a fun night! Went to the 90s hip hop and R&B event and had the best time. The bar is small but never too crowded, the DJ was on point with his music, and the crowd great. Zero hostility and people who can handle their drinks and music. Will def be back!

Came here for a concert for Jamie Miller and it was a great show! The venue itself isn’t as conventional as just a stage and open floor. There were seated tables (first come first serve). Luckily we bought the table seatings so we were able to sit comfortably. The only requirement for seating is that each person needs to order at least 2 items. The menu itself had a decent amount of options for drinks but as for the food options, it was slightly pricier. There were definitely interesting choices for the food (such as cupcakes and mini pickles — which we ordered lol). Overall, it was a nice venue! Would come here again for another concert!

Such a cool place - bigger than a listening party, smaller than a full blown concert. Beautiful venue

If u want to be at the stage lineup early(respectable and amazing staff working the line) and don’t expect to go get drinks or use the bathroom. But that’s what you sacrifice for being close. Sound was amazing!!!

A truly fantastic experience. Really cool venue in a nice area, friendly staff, and reasonable enough drink prices when factoring in both NYC and concert pricing. The sound quality was top-notch and I've never been to a show that kept you as comfortably cool as this one did. I'd definitely love to come again for the right act.

I saw Ceu perform at LPR a few weeks ago. It was a good show and very much you need to attribute that to how LPR is run. It gets crowded on the GA floor. Great show!

Last night 6/22 at The Early November show I witnessed a secuirty guard get unnecessarily combative with a crowd surfer. The security guard was black with (tacky imo) blond hair in an updo. She also added a hazard into the situation by roping off the side stage so that crowd surfers couldn't exit, which is what this man was trying to do If no crowd surfing is permitted, they need to have signage up and remove everyone who crowd surfs from the venue, not just the one person this miserable looking woman seemed to take issue with Venue is also always way too cold

Came for an emo night $20 ish dollars. I forgot how much I truly paid. The security was chill, all he did was look at my ID. Didn't check my purse. You get stamped on the wrist, you can also go in and out anytime you want- The bathrooms are gender neutral. The dance floor itself was small and it was really crowded! Drinks overpriced but tasty.

I came here for a musical performance by Steve Mason, formerly the lead singer of the Beta Band from Scotland UK. I arrived here early. The ambience is decent. It's an absolutely fabulous place to see your fave bands up close and personal. If you want to get near the stage and literally be able to eat out of the palm of your rock-n-roll superstar hero, get there early, it's a win- win. Now service at the bar was prompt and seamless. The pain comes when you pay for your beverages. It's expensive, but then again, we are speaking of NYC. The island of concrete dreams and price tag screams. It's par for the course. They have gender neutral bathrooms. However, on this night, I think most people decided which bathroom was gonna be where the men relieve themselves and where the women go, separately. I had an enjoyable experience on the night I came here, it was a Tuesday. The place wasn't super crowded, the patrons were chill, and the music system as well as the acoustics, seemed to be flowing nicely.

A cozy place and staff was nice and professional. There was not a big selection of drinks. But I Understand as it's a Thursday and the group is compose of professionals. So I did not see anything wrong with it. I wish the coat check we was able to pay by card besides cash.

I haven't even been here yet and I am already disappointed. I have been calling the box office for hours to ask a simple question. Despite the automated message saying a customer service rep would be available after 5pm, there is NO ONE picking up the phone. I am trying to make a dinner reservation and I literally can't because the lazy employees of this establishment refuse to make going into the office and talking to clients a priority. Absolutely Ridiculous. All box office employees need to terminated immediately.

I went here for one of the Art Battle events, where sets of artists compete to see who can paint the best / most popular piece as voted by the audience. The event was well executed and this was a great venue for this! The staff were very helpful, there was a coat check, and a fully stocked bar. Four stars only because 1) I thought the drink prices were steep for what you get: $14 for a draft beer and 2) very limited seating options if you wanted to take a break from standing.

First time attending this venue for a show. The show was amazing. Definitely worth standing the length of time that I did but my knees and feet are still angry at me two days later. I actually had on a very low inch heel (1 inch). There is some VIP seating in the back but it's so far from the stage that I don't think that I would pay for it. They do have some couches along with a large screen near the restrooms that you could watch the show in comfort so that was a plus. The rest rooms are gender neutral but it seems like the different genders gravitated to separate bath rooms. They do have a cost check. The cost is $4 and they only accept cash. They have two bars even though I didn't get anything. I don't recall seeing anyone with food and didn't think to check to see if that was an option. If you have allergies, there is a smoky vibe. Not cigarettes but the smoke machine. The lights near the stage are kind of bright and did interfere with my vision a few times because the light was shining in my eyes. Last, the water temperature in the bathroom was brutally cold. Handwashing is essential and because of the water temperature I saw a lot of improper handwashing. The bathroom stalls are also kind of narrow. All in all, if there was an artist performing there that I really wanted to see, I would definitely go back. I enjoyed myself.

The fact that LPR can attract the talents of some of humanity's greats is it's greatest quality. The food is decidedly unattractive, drinks sufficiently boozy but uninspired mixes make them a clear meh, as for service-well that gets a paragraph of its own. We purchased "Premium Seats" for this show, arrived early to queue up for best choices pf the best options, got let in and made our way to our table. To say the location was awesome needs only a reference to the photo. We were the first to sit in the section others trickled in over the next 45 minutes. Soon they were having their orders taken and what's this?! Getting their mediocre fare. Note the pronouns here, they. Five minutes before show time we flag down our server who takes our order after having to go back to the bar with the other folks at our table (who had just landed) order first. Then he returns and can't figure out our order until he can scan and pocket my card. Now, he forgot ¾ of what we had said before the card so we repeat it all over again. Long story short, being early meant we got served last well into the first act. The show, as I alluded to was totally worth the discomfort of the s#%^^* chairs. But I have gone to High School gyms to see Mr. Elling. The seats at LPR rivaled those gyms in the contest for least comfortable venue seating. All-in-all Kurt Elling played a killer set after a smoking 40 by the Huntertones ahead of him. Nothing, not even the general sadness of the LPR offerings could diminish.

Le Poisson Rouge is definitely one of my favorite spots in Greenwich Village, NYC. I saw Little Dragon play a show here once, and found the lighting, acoustics, and atmosphere to be spot on. If you like standing in a crowd for a show, this is also a good place for that. While it occupies a smaller space compared to most concert venues, I'd say you also have a better chance of actually chatting with band members here. One cool Le Poisson Rouge memory: sharing with Yukimi Nagano how much I enjoyed the show and listening to Little Dragon albums.

This place is a great venue. Saw two shows here! Great acoustic and a great crowd! The only negative is the security guards. -There was no line when I arrived and was already standing with my i.d. presented to the security. They both were having a power trip and wanted my friend and I to walk around the barricade to get back to where we were already standing. It was plain uncouth and in someways trying to degrade us. I'm not sure how these men handle women in their private lives but that's not how it works in the hospitality business.

The space is great and the staff was friendly, but they should definitely mention that there is an automatic gratuity added to drinks at the bar. I added an additional 20% gratuity, so one makers on the rocks and 2 beers totaled $55.

Awesome venue. I played here a little while back and the staff were lovely. The sound and ambience is great as well. I see a great variety of acts coming through as well. 10/10 recommend.

Have been here twice to see artists I am a big fan of, Plaid and William Basinski. Stood by the bat for both shows but there is seating if you like. The sound system is great. And the room has good acoustics. All in all, it's a music destination worth checking out if you've never been...

Everyone and anyone that knows me knows that I rarely to never go to music shows, concerts, venues, clubs, etc. etc. etc. unless I really care about you or the show that's being viewed. Anyway, I came here for both a show/birthday the other weekend. Was always curious about what Le Poisson Rouge looked like inside. Not gonna lie, back in the day when I heard Macaulay Culkin would pop by and do dj nights here, it was TEMPTING. The place is kind of what you would expect. I think I was in stimulus overload upon entrance so I don't remember everything/anything. Trust in that I was surprisingly sober. There's an entrance. After they check your tickets I believe you go down a set of stairs and then there's a coat check, followed by a bar area, band merch tables. I guess it really depends on the show you're coming in for and the set up. Next room over has disco balls and lights everywhere, a relatively small stage, a vip area with tables, and another bar. I did try a few things at the bar as my anxiety kicked in through the night. Pluses: VERY affordable bar for a music venue. You can get a beer for only $5-6 which is unheard of I feel at most of these kinds of spots. Also, not a horrible beer selection. Wine on tap was only $9. All around, really not bad. A bit cramped of a venue but it was cozy and neat and the lighting and sound was good. Bathrooms - relatively clean. All surprising pluses.

The gimmie gimmie disco was a blast here but I was treated very poorly by a bartender who spoke to me in such a nasty manner I cried lol If I go back, I will not drink there or wait for a smaller line throughout the night.

Pro tip: The men's room is the one on the right. I'm all for letting people use whichever bathroom makes them most comfortable but I suspect that most women don't want me accidentally walking into the women's bathroom. The signage here is ridiculous.

We went here to see Pop Punk High musical courtesy of Yelp. Our event was in the main space which was one of their venues. The musical was a concert style (standing only)but there were few chairs and couches to sit on while watching the show, snack menu are not really impressive but the booze department will leave you satisfied. The venue was spacious and clean and I can see myself coming back to this theater for another show!

TL;DR with the current setup: Arrive when doors open, hour before showtime for best seat selection. Stick to drinks. 20% tip is already included. Go with the flow and enjoy the show! Recently caught Cruel Intentions: The Musical here and thought the show and performances were really top notch fun. I had this feeling it was more of a tryout for a proper theater, or even Broadway. The dinner theater style setup is NOT my favorite way to see a show, but since it is setup this way here are suggestions on ways to improve: Nearby City Winery has an awesome ticketing system where you are able to choose your seats/location on a seating chart when you purchase your tickets. Those seats are held for you during the entire performance. It is much better than trying to get there an hour before show time to scramble for a decent seat. I felt bad for someone that obviously bought the more expensive "Secret Society" reserved seating and they ran out of the better seats in front so they simply put a reserved sign a table behind us (we didn't have upgraded table seats) since the person arrived closer to showtime. They pack you in here with seats being really close together so make some friends! There is a minimum of 2 drinks/food items with a table seat. The food options could be better. I got the spicy chicken pressed sandwich which was cold cut style chicken in between buttered pressed white bread with a side of potato chips. Meh. Eat before or after and stick with drinks.

Came here to see Ravi Coltrane during Jazz Winterfest. The venue is a nice size but small enough to feel intimate. It was standing room which I didn't enjoy - because I'm vertically challenged and it seems like everyone and their mother likes to violate my personal space . I spoke to another patron who said that there are normally seats and tables which would make more sense but I assume they were more interested in getting more tickets sold than the comfort of the patrons I would consider going back if there were seats /tables Otherwise I enjoyed the show

The Freedom Party is held here once a month- the Last Friday of every month! If you want to dance to 80s and 90's music this is the place! Great crowd. The music is loud, the crowd is singing, Everyone is sweating. You can dance for like 3-5 hours straight! Only costs $10/$13 on eventbrite with fees or $20 at the door. Birthday Month you get in for free.

J'aime (Le) Poisson Rouge! Not just because its name is in French, but also because they have great acts and a cool fish tank held up by chains. There's an upstairs that's down stairs and and a downstairs that's self explanatory. The theatre with the upstairs entrance is to the right and it's ginormous. The space allows for reserved seating (best to book early for peak performances). There's a bar at the rear, and some elevated seating to the right as soon as one enters the space. The stage is to one's left. Reserved seating is usually straight ahead. Thrones are to the right of the bar. This space is perfect for acoustic performances. I've noticed that when I saw Brio Con Trio of Copenhagen, the sound roamed through the room without piercing one's ears. There were some microphones, but no amplifiers used or enhancers. When, the opposite occurs like for big-name bands or Lucky Linda's Ho Ho Bingo, the sound resonates but to the point of I need earplugs! ------------------------------------- The downstairs theatre whose path is to the right of the fish tank is for smaller productions, like a regular show of Lucky Linda's Bingo and with special guest Lai Batti. The bar is immediately to one's right with seating on the opposite wall and in front of the stage. The space is long and narrow. Bathrooms are across from the bottom of the stairs. The food and drinks are the same for each theatre. Generally the nourishment options are pretty good. I would not recommend the hearty salad - it leads to intensely bad breath. It doesn't matter how many mints you eat or chew. You will have the nastiest breath until you brush your teeth a second time the morning after. Drinks are decent and unique. Seats are relatively comfortable. Often times there is standing room, when seats cannot be reserved (1st come, 1st serve) or when the venue is packed for larger events. The Thrones are real. There are rouge poissons crafted in the thrones before the thrones that take away your excrement. They also have photo booths (for an extra fare) while you wait, in case you want to show what your face looks like when you really gotta go! - OR, post visiting the toilet - for a little relaxed facial fun. Happy (b)eats!

Pretty cool aesthetics here. The overall environment is more intimate making events that much more enjoyable. Recommend going if you get the chance.

We got tickets for the Freedom dance party here & ahhh it was not great. First up the place has no real order when checking your Coat in/out. One big line seems like for both although when we left we were able to step to the side. Next the place was crazy jammed packed lord all mighty way way too many people this was insane, no room to move let alone dance with so many people it was like a sauna inside. Took forever to get drinks because not enough bartenders which is always a pain no matter where u go. I only gave this place the two stars because the music was not bad aside from this the party was not enjoyable.

If u advertise disco u should play disco, not country music and edm disco remixes........

We attended the Kurt Elling / Charlie Hunter show last week. Our group of 4 had to be split up as no one mentioned that we may not be seated together with our group. Regardless, once we were seated no one came to take our drink order at all. After the opening band I had to grab someone from the other side of the table to serve us a drink. During the main set as we waited to get our second drink no one at all came by to ask if we needed anything so that was it for our drinks. Then I had to drag someone over to get our credit card and bill. I mentioned the horrible (or lack of service) and he apologized and did not add a tip to the bill. In looking at the bill the next day I noticed that besides the actual TIP a GRATUITY of $6.06 was automatically added even though the tip amount was 0. No where does it say a gratuity will automatically be added AND we literally had no service at all. Someone took our tickets and just told us to find our own seats and on one served us. The idea that a gratuity is automatically added for absolutely no service is horrible. I've reached out to the club a few times with no response.

If you are going advertise that you are playing disco, a little hint, play some disco you donkeys

I was here for the 80s party on a Saturday night. The band was super energetic and a lot of fun! Tickets were easy to get and quite affordable. Drinks were a little small and due to the crowded dance floor, often lead to spillage. They were also a little pricey, but that's to be expected for a place like this. It seemed easier to stick to bottles of beer due to cost as well as danceability. Located in a great area with a lot of other places nearby. We arrived a little after 11 PM in the place was completely full by midnight. I look forward to attending other shows at this venue in the future!

Great venue for an intimate live music experience. Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum.

Recently came to Le Poisson Rouge to see Cruel Intentions the Musical. It was an overall fun and intimate theater experience. For table seating, the theater required a 2 item minimum. I ordered the French Dip sandwich with a side order of tater tots. The sandwich was pretty good but the tater tots were overly crispy and accompanying sauces didn't pair well. Service was attentive and the staff were great about getting us what we needed during the show. Table seating was a bit overcrowded, as we were stacked next to other parties and were uncomfortably close. I did, however, enjoy the intimate dinner theater experience that Le Poisson Rouge had to offer. I recommend coming to this place to check out an off-Broadway show.

So I came here to see Ravi Coltrane and I gotta say he did a great job!!! The venue itself was very nice and spacious. We stood outside for a little bit waiting for the doors to open and it was FREEZING cold! However, that had nothing to do with the venue -that was Mother Nature. Although the show was very good and the staff was cool, the only complaint I have is that there were NO SEATS literally in this spot. There was a select number of tables (maybe like 5) and small barstools in the back (maybe like another 5) in a place that easily had over a 100 people. We leaned against the wall/banister the entire night and even ended up leaving early because we couldn't take it anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love going to live shows however I also can appreciate a venue listing that there will be no seats in the description to avoid any confusion.

Small but decent sized space at least when it's set up for standing shows. The sound quality wasn't the best but the trade off is you have a pretty good view of the stage no matter where you stand. Wish I would've known it was gender neutral bathrooms before the show, went to a show that was predominantly men and felt a bit uncomfy so I had to hold it the whole time. Bartenders were fast and drinks were typically priced for an NYC venue.

The last live music my partner and I saw before the pandemic was Jeff Parker at LPR. We've been back twice recently - Eli Keszler, and then Gunn-Truscinski Duo + Natural Information Society - and both experiences were so positive it warranted this review. Great lines of sight (not a bad seat), excellent sound, and I don't tend to really notice/care about lighting but whoever works them at LPR added so much to the performances. Extra thank you to Frank!

Went to see Flamenco Vivo there last night. The show was great. The venue was overcrowded and understaffed. For the tables - about 400 people - there were 4 servers. We arrived at 5:50, stood on line until 6:30 (no surprises there), found seats at 6:40 and waited until 8pm to get food and drink. Food was not bad although we got the wrong order (ordered spicy chicken, got blts), which we accepted for fear of never seeing the waiter again and going away hungry. Oh and my the way, stingy pours. Loved Flamenco Vivo. Won't be back to LPR.

A group of us came here for Friday night (Freedom Party). We were under the impression this was an old-school party. We soon realized it's tailored for the 45+ age group lol. We decided to make the best of it and ordered drinks... the drinks were trash! I'd rather pay more and get a better tasting drink than receive whatever watered down crap LPR was serving.

Just saw "Jessie's Girl" Back To The 80's show here and they are amazing! What a great band. A must see if into 80's rock, dance, pop, and new wave. The venue itself is down in a basement area on Bleeker Street. Dark and intimate, but large enough for a stage and medium sized dance floor area. Good sound overall for the performance we saw here. Can get a bit warm as it seems the AC was not turned up enough. Separate VIP / bottle service areas if that is your thing by the back of the dance floor. Large bar area along the far wall. Ok beer and drink list and the normal NYC prices as expected. Photo booth and ATM machine on the premises. Decently clean bathrooms which surprised me for a place like this. Even the staff including the bouncers were pretty cool. The crowd at this place are your basic younger bridge & tunnel meatheads and annoying chicks from the burbs though. At least that's what we were subjected to that night. Go for the band and try to ignore the crowd.

The band is very talented but the drinks are pure garbage. When you can't even make a vodka soda right, I don't want to know what else you can't make. The vibe is okay, people are not really aware of their surroundings but hey, what else can you expect from drunk college kids. The Dj before the show begins is pretty dope, though, she is really talented and knows when to fade into another song. All in all, I left feeling very disappointed in this place.

I came here for the 90s night, and the band was fun- that's the one star. I really couldn't enjoy the band because I was being purposefully elbowed and shoved by entitled college girls. When I asked someone to stop she poured her drink on me. There was also a fight between two guys that security had to break up. Don't come here unless you want to put up with the craziest people you've ever met.

I've been to this awesome venue for Emo night on 10/24/2021. The music was awesome, the night was amazing. The reason im giving this place 3 stars was because of how we were treated last night. There was this bartender who had long ish ginger hair and a "astrology is bullshit" t shirt and he seemed cool at first. We were getting drinks. We were conversing and felt attended to. Eventually when we went back to the bar to grab just a bottle of water, he refused to serve us. He said "you guys didn't tip so I'm not serving you". We assumed he was joking and then eventually said "I'm serious I'm not going to serve you", and told every bartender to refuse service to us. Keep in mind we forgot to tip and had he addressed this in a nicer way such as : "hey you guys forgot to tip the last 3 trips to the bar" we would've tipped him the $15 for the three trips to the bar because we forgot. The fact he went out of the way to let every bartender know to not serve us when I simply just wanted a bottle of water, is just silly. I paid for my tickets at the venue and I've noticed many people next to me not even tipping him either. I understand frustration and I also empathize with making your tip money, but there's a point where I just can understand and empathize but still be truly disappointed and frustrated with the service I was receiving. It's a shame and I hope he learns to address things in a way where it's not passive aggressive or being upset with us as if we ruined his night and were at fault. I'd go again to this place and hope he's not servicing us the next time. We ended up leaving the venue because of his negative attitude and it just put a damper on our night when we were there to enjoy it. But Emo night here was simply amazing and epic and need to go every year :)

The "I put a spell on you" show and cast were absolutely phenomenal! Great time! However, the service and the food/menu items were lacking and inconsistent. The table seated beside us ordered the same cookies as we did, and the two batches looked like they came from completely different kitchens. The table next to us sat down after us and got their food, meanwhile we didn't even get the chance to order our food. We were only able to order our food after one of the patrons of the bordering table informed the server that we hadn't gotten the chance to place an order yet. I also ordered a Moscow mule, and the entire glass was filled with ice. I was done with the drink in 4 sips.

So I've been told about a band called "Jessie's Girl" for quite some time now and was finally able to make one of their shows which happened to be at this venue. I'm giving 5 stars because the band was absolutely amazing! I'm a child of the 80's/90's generation and I love the music from that time, so I'm always down to discover a new spot that plays MY time music! I don't have any complaints about the venue itself other than I don't like the fact that you have to pay to get in by credit card only. That was kinda annoying. I would have liked to pay cash for that. Also- some people that attended the show were quite annoying, so prepare yourself to run into some jerks- but I think that's anywhere you go lol The place is very big inside, lots of space to move around. I ended up getting to the show pretty late, so I didn't wait on any lines or whatnot and didn't have any issues getting drinks at the bar. I only ordered bottled beers though. I really need to come back again to see the entire show next time! I missed a whole hour of the show ugh! Also got to meet some of the band members after the show and take some pictures with them. They are super nice! I'm definitely going to be coming back here! Had so much fun!

I booked "Love The 90s" cover theme concert here. It was terrible as soon as we got there around 11:30 and lines were around the corner. They separated the lines by those who got tickets in advance and those that were getting getting tickets on the spot. Both lines were loving at same speed and were around the corner meaning they were letting in people that didn't get tickets as much as those that did get them in advance smh. That was a recipe of disaster as the place was typed packed. There was literally no place to move, it was a like a giant hug orgy. There were two bars and it was close to impossible to get through people to get a drink. I finally decided to cut through everyone and was able to buy beers. Now tell me why 2 coronas and 3 bud lights ran me 57$.... Like wth???? That is like 12$ a beer and for what? To top it off people in here were shit faced to the extreme that means they must of pregramed seriously. By the way the 90s was full of full range of music not just one genre!

So happy I finally went here on Saturday night. I have heard such good things about how fun this place was, so I had been wanting to go for a while. We went with a group of about 8 people for friends birthday and had the best time. It was 80's night and the band Jessie's Girl played. They were amazing!!! Especially their female singer, so so talented and had the cutest outfits. The concept of this place is so fun. Different decades each night with only music from that decade playing. I think Fridays is 90s and Saturday is 80s. I'm not sure if they do others or not. You can purchase a ticket ahead of time online, or pay at the door is what we did. $28 to get in which is pretty pricey especially since most NYC places don't have covers. So definitely the kind of place you want to commit to for the entire night if you go! Drinks were also expensive (only reason it's not 5 stars). $17 for a vodka red bull - yikes. Overall tho, great vibes and so much fun!! Recommend this spot for a really fun night out, a place to take friends if they're visiting or a birthday!

Came here for ArtBattle on a Thursday night and was not disappointed. What an awesome, unusual event! There was a line to get in so make sure you bundle up to stay warm outside. The event started at 8.30, not at 8.00 as posted, so don't feel rushed. Come early for the best viewing spots. It was really crowded the night I went. The DJ was on point and the emcee was excellent - he was pretty good at getting the crowd to keep turning so you got a chance to see all the different canvasses. Bring your camera. An ultra-talented beatboxer performed while they were tallying up the winning votes during the intermission, he was amazing. There's a tiny lounge off to one side with some couches which was a good place to rest after being on my feet for so long. I was super impressed with this event and will be back to see the Cruel Intentions musical they're putting on later this month, lol. Would recommend for sure.

Came here for the first stop during the Winter Jazz Festival. Great place, good times.

Went for a 90s/2000s dance party on a Friday night in June 2018 to celebrate a friend's birthday. At 11:15 pm the line was already extremely long (doors open at 11 pm). At least security was not rude or pretentious. Once inside, it's a struggle to get a drink and once you do get it, you'll be charged an arm and a leg for cheap liquor. Many boozed up antagonistic frat guys were in attendance. It was crowded so I was stepped on and would've lost a toe if I hadn't been wearing close-toed shoes. A crazy fight broke out but security guards were quick to break it up, catch and remove the assailant from the premises, and contact the authorities. Also, security did a good job clearing space for the victim to breathe when he was passed out for about 10 minutes on the floor trying to recover. I've been to this cover band's other performances when they played just 90s music. This time, they were supposed to include some music from the 2000s, but after over an hour, they hadn't performed any new songs, let alone songs from the 2000s. The speakers were too loud. Everyone in my group's ears hurt within the first half hour of the performance. On the plus side, the band was very energetic so if this was your first time seeing them, you would have probably enjoyed it. It was my 3rd or 4th so I had already seen and heard it all. If only one bad thing happened, it would've been no big deal--I know to expect at least one of the aforementioned problems when I go out in Manhattan. However, this series of multiple unfortunate events made it a trying night and not worth the $22 price of admission. Plus one star for courteous security guards manning the line outside and for the security guards inside who responded so quickly to diffuse a fight. Plus a second star because the band was so energetic.

LPR is a place you keep coming back to. The staff seems to give a shite that you're there, in front of them, spending your hard earned money. The talent is some of the best in the world. I found out my dad went to that space way back in the day to see Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin. (It feels like the space today it's doing justice to its legacy.) And all of this is a good thing, because it seems to be the last venue of its kind in Manhattan. I'll definitely be back.

Great acts & great bookings, but ultimately, terrible sightlines & not so great sound if it's a GA show. Haven't been to a seated show there, maybe better. If crowded & GA, a hassle imo.
