"Little Skips, a small chain of coffee shops in Brooklyn, is closing its last location. “The past few years in business & life have been the most challenging I’ve ever experienced,” owner Linda Thach shared on Instagram. “i must bow out of it now with whatever grace I have left.” Thach opened her first coffee shop in Bushwick in 2008. She opened five more, but things took a turn in recent years: The original shop shuttered in 2019 due to a rent increase, and an outpost in Prospect Lefferts Gardens followed last month. The last Little Skips, at 1643 Broadway and Hudson Boulevard, in Bushwick, closes on September 17." - Luke Fortney

"At this point, Brooklyn can probably give Seattle a run for its money when it comes to number of coffee shops per capita, and Little Skips is easily one of the best. It's especially great for those who like semi-loud background music since it's an undeniable part of the hipster package. Thai iced tea—an equally potent alternative to a latte—is on the menu in addition to all the usual suspects if you’re feeling adventurous. Fair warning: outlets are a limited commodity here so come fully charged just in case. The second outpost is on Myrtle Avenue."

Coffee is ok had four espresso in my latte and it wasn't even strong. Food is good especially oatmeal but way overpriced plus you sitting right under the subway line. Sitting inside might be better so piece of whatever won't fall into your plate and you can hear each other if you with a company. Not my place to go.

Quick service, very fresh ingredients, sandwich was very filling but feels healthy. Got the veggie with smoked tempeh & my friend got the fancy Danny- loved the energy & will be back! The iced chai was also really great :)

A GEM in the neighborhood coffee shops. They not only have all standard versions of coffee, but also the fancy ones. Bagels, sandwiches, croissants and LARGE windows and tables do that you can work or chat with friends

I love this little neighborhood gem! Cool vibes, cool people and my favorite iced latte. I pop in often - whether I’m on the go and have time to stay and catch a vibe for brunch/lunch. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. The menu is interesting and honestly delicious. They pretty much check all the boxes, but I feel they’re a bit pricey for no reason.

Cute, cozy place to have coffee chats or get some work done at the large work station table. Good amount of seating however 1/2 of the time I come here there is absolutely no seating, it's a really busy place! Prices are a little too high for the neighborhood and what you pay for but the location is so close to me. The staff are very friendly. The place is open till 11pm and they stop serving coffee at night with dim intimate lighting and candle lit tables and serve alcoholic beverages. Great date spot at night as there is MUCH more seating you're almost guaranteed a spot at night.

Skip as fast as you can over to Little Skips East!! Excuse the half eaten Vegan Coffee Rhubarb Strawberry Cake Loaf, I couldn't wait to eat it! Angie, Jude and Ash were the dream team and had the place running like melted butter 🥹
