I used to go here a lot. Folks were generally friendly and helpful. Had some film developed that I left there. Back then they had a policy that if you don’t pick up your film within a certain amount of time they would throw it out. I was aware of that time limit and I had called them to tell them that I couldn’t pick it up within that window and asked them to please not throw my film away, that I would be by in about a week. The person I spoke to said, “Oh we say we’re gonna do that but we never actually do, don’t worry. Your film is safe.” I show up a week later and my film was gone. No one put a note on my film saying I had called to ask them to please not throw it away. The person I spoke to said they threw everything into the dumpster. I was so devastated I asked them to show me which dumpster was their’s so I could go look for them. I went swimming in garbage for my film but they clearly had already been taken out to the landfill. I had the minimal quality scans at the time and it ended up being four rolls of the best work I ever took. I had been asked to make prints of those photos more than any other photos I had taken, but the quality wouldn’t have done them justice. I was taking photos all the time but after that I literally couldn’t take pictures for a year after I was so heartbroken; and since then I never shot with the same passion. All I got for my distress that day was a shrug, nothing to remedy the situation at all. Had the person I talked to on the phone not been lazy and just made a note for me, or if they were just honest and said they wouldn’t make exceptions, I would’ve arranged for a friend to pick it up. Instead I got the vibe “Welp, not our fault you should’ve picked it up.” This was 6 years ago now and still every time I see one of those photos I took I’m heartbroken all over again. I will never forget it and will never return to this place again.

A little while back, my girlfriend and I bought a point and shoot film camera. We stumbled across LATITUDE on the Googles and figured to give it a shot. Two months later we have a Canon FTB, understand how to operate shutter speed, aperture, and understand what the heck ISO means. The staff at LATITUDE has been nothing but encouraging, patient, and engaged with us as we came in with the least amount camera knowledge you could imagine. A special shout out to Keanna, who was the first person we spoke with at Latitude. She sparked our curiosity and pointed us in all the right directions. Also shout out to Matilda, who took the time to help us really understand the technology we were using! Here is too many more blurry photos and capturing lots of memories!!

If you're shooting film you know you need a reliable place to process it and Latitude is one of the best. They are fast, friendly and have never, ever lost or messed up a single roll. They are exceptionally detail oriented and communicative, with different price options depending on what you need. I've also worked with them for gallery prints and have been as equally impressed with their work.

LATITUDE is the only place I will scan or print my photographs. Everyone is super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I love the space and I've never had a problem booking an appointment, and the staff is so excellent with supplying any materials or information I need. Plus the DIY prices are great. I have yet to take any classes but I love that they're offered. Wishing LATITUDE the best with transitioning into the new spot, and hoping it'll be quick on account of I'm excited!!

Super streamlined experience from start to finish. I had a few rolls of film that I needed to have developed and scanned. Latitude had a quick turnaround time and were easy to work with. Service was friendly! Would return.

The grooviest DIY space to get printing and scanning done in Chicago. The staff is amazing attentive, and have Jedi level knowledge on all matters regarding high quality printing. Ps totally check out their fabric printing solutions.

This is a nonprofit printing service for artists. Their service is excellent and their print quality is excellent and really low cost. They also have classes in case you would like to do the work yourself. The only downside is that this is a very busy area and parking can be a challenge.

Great staffs - very helpful with orders. Film developing is super fast (1-3 biz days). Good quality.

Latitude is a great place to make photo prints, film scan, and hang out with photo people!

I needed to a have photo cropped and then enlarged to 8x10 to display next to the urn with my brother's ashes at hit funeral. Of course this all had to be arranged on-line, and I did approve what they sent me. But when I picked up the photos my extreme disappointment was evident. Alex saw how upset I was very graciously offered to redo the order while I waited, at no cost. This is stellar customer service!

I had a super last minute request to get a picture for my mom printed for Mother's Day and could not find a place that could get it done on time. I had a tip from J&S printing who told me to call Latitude and that's what I did. Caitlin was beyond gracious and helpful and while I called late on Friday night (when they were about to close) she said she'd have it ready the early the next day. (Everywhere else told me 3-4 days). That may have been Latitude's normal timeline but I could tell they were trying to be helpful and because of that my Mom will be super happy and I will definitely go back to them again.
