"La Taqueria is our favourite Mexican joint in the city. It’s small and unassuming, but punishingly delicious. They do one thing and one thing well: Authentic street-style tacos. Order 4 different flavours, grab an horchata, and prepare to get messy." - Louder Than Ten

Really enjoyed my time at La Taqueria in Vancouver. We came in with a large group with no reservation, but they were very accommodating. Service was good and the staff were kind, although I was a little disappointed that they charged me for extra caramel sauce. Taco servings are small considering the $9 price tag, but taste quite good. Would recommend it for a date, most tables seat only two, the whole restaurant is quite small and has a cute vibe.

I thought I knew what a taco was before coming over to Vancouver from the UK. Visiting La Taqueria completely turned that idea on its head. I ordered 2 tacos: the prawn and a calamari taco and was astounded by the juiciness of the prawns, the depth of the filling and the various flavours all wrapped in a beautifully soft taco. The dessert was also fantastic; the Corlato arrived beautifully presented and bursting with zingy flavour. This restaurant is very authentic, run by actual Mexican people and was a delight to visit. The chilled out vibe, friendly staff and music further enriched the experience. I would highly recommend especially for a low-key meal out with friends, family or a date.

I came back to La Taqueria on Hastings and tried the Carne Asada Chicken Bowl, and it did not disappoint! It’s a delicious, great-value dish with a perfect combination of rice, beans, avocado, AAA beef, pico de gallo, and crema. Every bite was packed with flavor, and adding a touch of hot sauce gave it a great kick. This is gonna be one of my go-to bowls with my Mexican food craving. I also had the Shrimp Taco, which was fantastic. The soft shell taco wrap was a winner which has the corn flavour, and the sauce on the marinated fried shrimp had a smoky, barbecue-like taste that complemented beautifully. The cheddar cheese was a bit salty for my taste, and I think Monterey Jack might make it even better, but overall, it was still a delicious taco and having the same cheese is not gonna bother me at all. Closed the appetite with an order of churros which was crispy and soft in the inside with a custard sauce on the side. I left happy from this place. Service was great. I’ll definitely keep coming back! ———————————————————————————— Every time I visit La Taqueria Pinche on Hastings, I can't help but feel so satisfied—there's just something about their tacos that hits the spot. The flavours, the texture of the shell, and the spicy sauce too…. I've been here many times and always go for the same 3-taco combo. My favorites? The chicken, shrimp, beef, and fish tacos—each one is packed with flavor. I usually pair them with a lager or a margarita, and it’s always the perfect match. They offer a great deal at $15.99 for 3 tacos during weekday lunch, and their happy hour from 2-5* makes it tempting to stop by. The vibe is bar hip and urban, which adds to the overall experience. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I'm craving tacos—it’s easily one of my top picks for the best tacos in Vancouver.

A small but mighty taco restaurant that focuses on quality food and service rather than vibes. The price was fair for the food, and the server was friendly enough. We got the tortilla soup, the 3 taco combos consisting of Baja, Carnitas, and Asada, and the chilaquiles. They were all fantastic and would recommend without hesitation. We finished off the meal with the churros which were hot and fresh out of the fryer. My only comment is that there isn't enough churros but that's probably a good thing for my health. Overall, if you're walking along Hastings, this is a place you have to check out!

Cozy little place. Food was amazing! 😍 We had tacos pastor and carnitas. Both were incredible. We nodded while eating the first taco, a sign of food that completely hits the spot. Had the jalapeno marg (okay, two) -- so good. Wish I lived here so I could visit all the time. Thanks for the great tacos and drinks!

While in vancouver for a concert, we decided to arrive early and find some dinner near the venue. We wandered and found this little place! We were hesitant at first but SO glad we stopped to eat. We got nachos, and tacos- The Pastor and Asada. Amazing! Everything tasted great, service was fast and everyone was so friendly!

Ok, as you know I love to write reviews about the reality of each restaurant. On this occasion, I order: Quesadillas chilangas 6/10 The dug wasn’t cooked. Pozole 1/10 The meat was old and dry. The corn was hard, the pozole was spicy, a bunch of oregano and they didn't give us lime, the worst part was that it was cold. Churros 10/10 really good option. Jamaica water 10/10. I was very happy to visit the place because I had been to La Taqueria at Brentwood Mall (which is one of my fav Mexican restaurants) but this experience was pleasant. The service was good, but you need to train the staff they don't know how to approach, ask, and be friendly. The place is really small but I like it. Will I be back? I doubt it.

Went to visit Vancouver and was told by many locals that I should try a Taco joint and amongst the popular one La Taqueria was listed. Went during happy hour to try their tacos and I can say by far that they are the best ones I have ever eaten in my life! It was amazing would have given 6 stars out of 5
