La Lanterna by Franco Seccarelli

The walk into the restaurant is magical. The staff greeted us with that 5 star service you would expect. Our sever Hanabal was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was amazing. So delicious I didn't want it to end. The cocktails were perfectly balanced. I give this restaurant 5 Stars all day.

Absolutely wonderful, from start to finish! My cousin and I stopped in the bar while our husbands ran an errand, and we had a delightful time with the bartenders as they created their amazing libations. They were so nice and full of stories. The evening continued as we were seated for dinner. The entire place is beautifully laid out, yet you get an impression of coziness. I wasn't particularly hungry, so only had a Caprese salad, but the mains of my companions were phenomenal. My husband had one of the daily specials, grilled branzino. It was perfectly cooked and flavorful. My cousin had the other special, halibut in a tomato caper sauce. Her husband had the lamb meatballs, which he consumed with gusto. We all shared a starter of pasta with a truffe sauce - Holy cow, it was amazing! The bread was fresh and a great accompaniment. We split our desserts, basil panna cotta and chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream. Our servers were attentive but not overbearing. So, so good - very happy we stumbled in!

Amazing place. Quiet, sedate atmosphere, Amazing food, great service. In the heart of Old San Juan. What's not to like? Would go again in a heartbeat.

Enchanting atmosphere, phenomenal service, exceptional food and drinks. Not many places deserve 5 stars but this one has earned it.

In my opinion La laterna could be one of the nicest places restaurants in San Juan, perfect atmosphere to a romantic date, kinda dark with beautiful architecture, sculptures and plants who makes you feel connected with the atmosphere. My real opinion about food is 10/10 , so delicious and perfect cook. Manager is really kind and makes you feel comfortable.i ordered fetuchini with truffles it was amazing.

I found this restaurant walking through the streets of old San Juan...from the moment we entered the atmosphere was perfect, I felt like Alice in Wonderland...I lived in Italy for many years and whenever I travel I look for Italian restaurants and this is one of my favorites, the cuisine of Franco Seccarelli whom I had the honor of meeting...that Italian fusion introduced to a Caribbean island...if you go to PR and you like Italian cuisine this is the place Lanterna by Franco Seccarelli...🤗

La Lanterna Italian Restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico exceeded all of our expectations! We called ahead hoping to secure a reservation, but unfortunately, there were none available. However, when we spoke with Alina, she was incredibly kind and understanding of how much we wanted to dine there before heading back to Miami. She mentioned that while there were no guarantees, she would do her best. Upon arriving, we were thrilled to see that she had gone above and beyond to arrange a beautiful table for us, making us feel truly special. The food was absolutely fantastic—authentic Italian dishes with incredible flavors that left us craving more. The ambiance was intimate and elegant, and the service was impeccable. But what really made the experience unforgettable was Alina's genuine warmth and effort to ensure we had the perfect dining experience. Special thanks to her for making our night so memorable! We highly recommend La Lanterna for anyone visiting San Juan and wanting an extraordinary meal with top-notch service.
