"Kudu is the sort of restaurant that every neighbourhood in London needs. It’s a casual but classy South African restaurant in Peckham that’s good for dates, mates, and most importantly, dogs. Whatever you do, don’t miss out on the bread—it comes with either melted bacon or seafood butter, and it is very good. "Kudu is run by a young husband and wife team, who attract an equally fun and youthful local clientele. Patrick’s South African roots are evident in dishes like the must-try scallop potjie and the ‘braai’ lamb neck – and the brioche-style bread with bacon butter is memorable. Sit up at the bar to see the care which the kitchen puts into the original dishes. Amy and her service team are delightful, and laughter fills the buzzy room." - Michelin Inspector

"South Londoners keep quiet about the food in Peckham. Its restaurants are so good (Peckham Bazaar), so affordable (Banh Banh), and so atmospheric (Artusi), locals want to keep this surprisingly-amazing gastronomical post code to themselves. Kudu fits right in. South African-inflected dishes like braai lamb loin with smoked yoghurt, salt-baked carrots with kefir, vegetable potjie, and spiced biltong (South Africa’s answer to charcuterie) make up the menu. The décor matches the food in terms of detail—mauve walls, chevron wood floors, and intimately small, glass-topped tables. It’s a worthy addition to the already-great Peckham neighborhood."
