Nestled in Prospect Heights, KIT is a charming neighborhood spot serving breakfast, lunch, and community-driven pop-ups, plus delightful coffee and curated wines.
"After closing down at the end of 2020, the team behind one of our all-time favorite restaurants, MeMe’s Diner, announced this week that they’re reopening the Prospect Heights location as a mixed-use, shared space called KIT (Keep In Touch). Starting this Wednesday, June 23rd, you can stop by for coffee and all-day snacks made by chef Libby Willis, and natural wine curated by Black Cat Wines between 8am-8pm. On weekends, Dacha 46 will continue to serve Eastern European banya brunch (they’ve been operating at MeMe’s for several weeks now), and you can also try Solid Wiggles’ beautiful jello shots and jelly cakes. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"The restaurant will reopen in early 2023 at 657 Washington Avenue, near Saint Marks Avenue, a space that's been home to popular neighborhood restaurants like MeMe's Diner and, later, KIT." - Luke Fortney
"A pop-up incubator that supported queer-owned businesses. Closed after a year in operation due to personal and financial reasons." - Luke Fortney
"Got out of bed early-ish (for a Sunday) and biked over to KIT (formerly Meme’s Diner, RIP). They were hosting a pop-up of Zoe Kanan, a baker I follow on Instagram. She makes incredible doughnuts and this was my first time having them. A strawberry tomato ribbon doughnut on a stick and a coconut-crunch mochi doughnut."
"In Prospect Heights, chefs Zoë Kanan and Libby Willis are back with their recurring weekend bagel pop-up at neighborhood cafe KIT." - Luke Fortney
