Ka-Vá has such great vibes! Baristas are friendly and welcoming and the regulars are fun! I always come here to work during the week and I end up making new friends when I’m stuck waiting for some coworker to respond to me.

The employees here are incredibly sweet and the drinks are pretty good especially during happy hour. Definitely thinking about becoming a regular here. Really friendly community, and there’s art in the wall

spent over $100 on 4 drinks without tip. Employees wouldn't stop complaining about how their boss is always drunk in the DR and not paying them. I'm sorry but how is that my issue and why should I be subjected to that, if you don't like your boss than quit, don't talk behind their back to customers, it just ruined the experience.

This is a very pretty little bar with strong kava, the artwork is so beautiful I thought it was a photograph! The first night I went there Lee was bartending and he was very entertaining as well as accommodating. While I was there I was able to meet one of the owners Richard, he was very knowledgeable on the kava and a very generous host. We had such an amazing time we will absolutely be back. Thank you Ka-Va kava bar for a much needed night if fun and relaxation!

While they still need to improve and invest in better quality coal for sheesha, I really love this tea bar-- the staff is friendly and there is a group of regulars that are welcoming and kind. This is definitely my new favorite spot.

Fair warning, I'm an avid Kratom drinker and haven't tried kava just yet. However, I do recommend trying out kava during happy hour because kava has a reverse tolerance to it. In other words, you have to drink a lot of it to feel its effects. The Kratom. It's awesome. Ka-Va Kava Bar discloses their dosing. This is important because places like Brooklyn Kava do not disclose this, and can potentially make Kratom an unenjoyable experience. As you increase dosing to 8-10g, one can experience nausea and vomiting. This bar provides you with a perfect moderate dose of 5g, which I most definitely appreciate. Thank you Ka-Va Kava for being courteous to your customers. Aside from the awesome Kratom, I'd like to inquire about my thoughts on the staff and place in general. The staff is a bit quirky - one of the shorter guys is really generous and genuinely engages in conversation to make the experience a bit more welcoming. However, there is one worker whom is a bit awkward, and comes off as a bit standoffish. At times, his mannerisms are quite annoying; most of the time he talks to you with his back turned, and speaks too softly. But, I digress, the place has tasteful decor, but seems it is missing something. I'd find this place more appealing if the walk area wasn't too narrow and was more setup for more lounge seating. Ka-Va Kava is a great place to pickup fairly priced Kratom/kava. Staff isn't too bad if you don't mind their quirkiness - overall they're a delight. I have been in search of new kava bars that offer Kratom, and this is a spot I'd recommend in the future.

Always out of kava and place is poorly maintained. Used to be a decent establishment but I'm no longer inclined to come here.

Wonderful staff and assortment of kava/kratom teas to choose from. This place in many ways feels like a family and treats its customers like such. Art and interior design is contributed by locals and regulars and the staff is very open to hearing suggestions from customers. Product is cream of the crop, very well brewed and strained. Venue is dog friendly and there are wonderful food options near by.

It tasted so bad I almost threw up. There were no options for other flavoured cava stuff (mixed drinks, etc.) which I was dissapointed about. The girl working was nice. The vibes in there were so bad and extremely off though. I was very uncomfy.

Oh yes, celebrate! What a fun and relaxing time. People looking for a strict buzz have to go to an alcohol bar or a coffee shop, but this is straightforward. A limited relaxing feeling, where you want to take a nap afterwards. It's the drug equivalent of having a large meal on a Saturday. This stuff is imported from Pacific

I love this place! The bar tenders are very accommodating and quite knowledgeable about the products here. You'll walk in for the kava and kratom, but stay for the pleasant atmosphere Ka-vá Bar brings to lovely Williamsburg. Whether you come in alone or bring friends, you'll feel at home.
