We came here for a quick bite. Veggie burgers tasty ! A bit pricey though. Staff super friendly and spoke fluent English. We sat outside under a tree so nice and cool.

The service is a real highlight. The staff are friendly, always smiling, and genuinely seem to care that you’re enjoying your time there. That level of hospitality makes a big difference and leaves a lasting impression. Overall, this is a lovely little find if you're after good food, kind service, and a local feel. A place that doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not—and is all the better for it.

We found Josephine Bistro while going to Graca church. The place is very nice and good for those chill evenings to enjoy beer amd not only. The menu is small but has wide variety of offerings (vegetarian ones as well). We choose quiche of the day (Leek filling) and some white wine, which went really well. The service was really fast and pleasant, prices are much lower than in other places. Definitely worth visiting.

Probably the best Burgers in Lisbon for the price (10€). Got the Bacon Attack and it's very delicious. The fries are also really good and the seasoning is perfect. Very recommended!

What a nice place to have some food. We were there by chance as we saw it along our walk. We ordered the chicken platter which was delicious and with a great proportion. We also took the the lemonade and pate appetizer and everything was over the top; the taste, service and price. I highly recommend this gem.

Stopped by for a refreshment at the tail end of a hot afternoon. The caipirinha was great and we ended up staying for dinner. The food was great and the staff was very kind! Happy to stumble onto this restaurant.

Ask for their favorites and you shall receive yumminess! It is a quaint bar with a large patio and they do have WiFi, so that's a positive, in the event you need some translation. They have a porter beer that is phenomenal! The meat croquettes were deliriously delicious! The goat cheese with jam was also amazing! It was well after 4, so their toasts were off of the menu, but it ended up being fine because I filled up! Highly recommend!

Lovely little pub/restaurant close to many popular sights in Lisbon. We went there twice, loved it that much! We are vegetarian and they had plenty of choices. Both times, we had the goat cheese with grilled bread and the basmati rice with the tofu & beans. Actually, the second time, we also had the cocktail tofu nuggets which had a nice bite with a bbq sauce hit on top. The food was on point, the local wine choices were also great and the ambience is killer.

Super good burger, local crowd, awesome owner, highly recommend. If you're looking for a down to earth place to have a drink and a non-pretentious good meal, this is the spot.

I whiled away an extremely pleasant couple of hours here, lingering over a couple glasses of Rose. Review for outside area only, but damn, it was spot on for wine drinking and people watching. Great staff, never felt rushed.

The service here was very good! The person who helped us spoke very good English and it made ordering a lot easier. The food was very good and priced on the cheaper end and I definitely want to come back here again!

Pork sandwich (Bifana) was fantastic! Hamburger with Josephine sauce was excellent. Great ambiance and popular.

I ate here my first night in Lisbon. Got my food to go so I can't really say much about the vibe of the place but the good was good

We went back to try and have breakfast the other day here and it didn't happen. . They say they open at 11am but they were still setting up and told us to come back 5 minutes later... Eventually opened at 11:25..then she told us that they didn't open the kitchen till noon.. What is the point of saying you open at 11 but not opening till 11:25 and then not even cooking till noon.. She was rude to top it off. . We left and went to the Brick which has good food and good service unlike here...

I was craving some brunch in Lisbon and a friend recommended this place. It was so hot outside and they wouldn't put up the umbrellas because they were broken so we sat inside. The shitty part about this was that it was right next to the bathroom, pun intended. I got the Josephine brunch, my friends got the vegetable quiche and the burger. My platter was huge. It's easily a two person meal €11 and it comes with fresh orange/apple juice. The others really enjoyed the quiche but the burger got low marks. I'd go back again.

This restaurant looks like a dive, but,as they say, looks can be deceiving. The staff is super helpful, and the food is so good that we became repeat customers during our stay in Lisbon. Everything is made from scratch, and there are many good options for vegetarians. Their hamburgers are absolutely the best I have eaten in many years. Who would have expected that? Love this place!

This place has an excellent brunch! One of the best our whole time in Europe. It was €11 per person for the Brunch special. It came with bacon, 2 eggs, yogurt parfait, fruit cup, salad, croissant, toast, ham, chorizo, cheese, coffee, and juice! There are lots of other smaller options too! Like other reviews have said they will let you sit for a long time and plug in a phone or a computer. They have books to read and board games to play. It is really lovely and relaxed.

I chose this place because it was close to the place I'm staying, and I was very pleasantly surprised. The food I had was incredibly tasty (a burger with everything, The Big Jo, fries and olives). It was very good value for money and overall a very pleasant experience (nice ambiance, polite and efficient staff, great food!)

We sat down at 1 pm for brunch -- ordered a omelette and a crepe -- and at 1:45 still had no food, so asked if we could get it as take away... and at 1:55 decided to just pay for the coffee and juice we'd had and leave. I don't know if it's normally this bad, but the kitchen service is too slow for food. Maybe a fine place to smoke and drink beer if that's your thing...

We came across this bakery/ cafe on our third day in Lisbon. We had basically written Portuguese food off, but this bakery redeemed the food here. We had the fresh squeezed oj. It was bitter this morning. So a few of my family members had a hard time drinking it. We also ordered a slew of pastries and croissants. These delectable and soft pieces of dough, just melted in your mouth. My favorite was the cococnut pastry. I hope to come back and try the cafe.

Best place in Portugal! Reasonably priced, service was excellent, food was outstanding! 100% recommend!
