"The best burger of the neighborhood comes from the hands of the luso-french Josephine. But I'm not even sure that's the best they serve, since the steak is so incredible too. And this is only lunch, but check out their breakfast and snack menus throughout the day. It's the the go to place for a quick meal and a cold one at the end of the day when the atmosphere becomes that of a cosy pub." - Nelson Vassalo

Hands down the best meal we’ve had in Portugal. The beef burger had bits of chorizo in it which made it moist and flavourful.chicken was exceptional. Great salad, great fries. Great vibe, great food, great service. Five stars.

The staff were really kind and the atmosphere was perfect. A chill place to have a great meal. We ate a hamburger that was tasty and good priced. Really recommend this place

We tried Josephine’s after a nearby spot got way too crowded. We rolled in quite late, but were treated amazingly by the staff and owner. The food is fantastic - the Jo burger is colossal and perfectly medium rare. The bifana also tender and juicy and huge - one can easily feed two people. Drinks are good, staff are wonderful, and everything is moderately priced. We couldn’t have had a better time. Our only note is there’s no fish on the menu, but maybe that might cycle in and out, we don’t know.

Their burgers are very good and well priced. The sangria is also super delicious. The tables and chairs lot so comfortable but if you are not there too long it’s fine.

We were walk-in customers, and it was a busy Saturday evening. Apparently, the area is popular for bachelor's parties. We could not be seated outside but got a quaint table in the back next to an open window. It's just perfect. We ordered the Big Joe burger as well as the Cheesephines. Both were hearty meals and would have worked perfectly well without the side order of fries, which was more than enough to share between 2. Our host was super friendly. Not typical Portugese food, but a great change from the regular menus. I can recommend Sangria, and my husband had the Bandina do Pomar. Great venue, great food

A very nice place in a good spot. Food is delicious so it is well worth a break during your city walk even just for a coffee. The terrace is nothing fancy but this is exactly what gives its charm compared to the neighbouring places. It is a gem in a great spot.
