Balanced ratio of filling. Excellent cheese, and crispy bread. Absolutely perfect! Death row meal worthy! Restaurant is nice, seats were a bit limited, but it’s by the river so eating outside isn’t such a bad idea. Friendly staff as well!

Food: I really thought I was going to love this place, but it was such a big disappointment. The bread was too hard and crispy, and the meat was a bit chewy. There’s definitely better panini options in Florence and a bit cheaper. Service: Friendly staff. Ambiance: Love that it gives an almost “hidden gem” spot as it’s away from major tourist attractions. They also have several indoor seating, which is a plus.

Delicious sandwiches, easy ordering, friendly staff- a quiet street off the main drag worth visiting. My super Italian sandwich was 10/10 jam packed with prosciutto, burrata, tomatoes, pesto and the best bread. You know it’s going to be good when your Italian friend sent you to this shop— thanks Luca!!

Google
Great food and quick service! Dining area is small so if you go during busy hours plan to take it to go.

Google
Lovely little place with some real quality food. The food is simple and done well, choose your meat or veg, fillings and you’re done. Sounds too basic almost however tasted amazing. Clearly there had been some thought put into this by the owners with a beautiful menu and it works. One suggestion would be an English menu for those who don’t speak Italian (appreciate we are in Italy - just thinking about European and further abroad tourists) Would certainly visit again.

Absolutely delicious! Had to Google Translate, “one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had” to make sure they knew how much we enjoyed it!

Google
Oh my…This place is amazing. Small, intimate, and friendly. The food was over the top. Ordered two sandwiches, Chianti, and San Pellegrino. Easy to taste the quality ingredients. Mostly Italians there when we went. Although large groups of tourists did march by…but did not stop. This is a gem. We will be here for 3 weeks. We will be back. Grazie Mille!

Best Panini in Town! Good creations, with lot of flavour. Even got his own cooking-books! Must go!

Yelp
Delicious crispy bread! The sandwiches are huge! Two people working are very friendly.

Yelp
My friend had mentioned that this place was recommended to her by a coworker, so we figured we ought to grab lunch from here. The place doesn't have much seating inside, but we managed to get a table to sit at to eat our sandwiches. I got their saporito, which was quite good, especially their bread, but a bit messy. I managed to drip some of their oils from the sandwich onto my jeans, which was unfortunate, so be careful when eating their sandwiches! Overall, not a bad alternative to All'antico Vinaio.

Yelp
This is an excellent traditional upscale sandwich shop in Italy ! The owner is extremely friendly helpful and makes sure it's perfect. This is the must visit for a lunch

Leonard S.

Yelp
I'm another wowed customer. The reviews are legit. Each ingredient was as good as it gets and the bread is absolutely the best. Very cordial and friendly service. The owner and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. The shop is small and it's not easy to get a seat, but worth the effort.

Yelp
Comes up as a grocery store on Apple maps but it's definitely a panini shop! This place is so good and the quality of ingredients are insane. My panini only had 2 ingredients (prosciutto/burrata) on it and it was one of the best ones I've had here while studying abroad. There was a perfect amount of prosciutto on it and the burrata made it heavenly. I could even eat the bread by itself it was that good. I highly recommend this place.

Steve F.

Yelp
Our local tour guide recommended this place for lunch and she was right. Excellent sandwiches and friendly service.

Kellie B.

Yelp
THIS is the best sandwich made with fresh sliced meats in front of you on the freshest bread I've ever had. 10/10 recommend for lunch or an afternoon pre- dinner snack

Christina L.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place more than I did but I thought it was a bit expensive for what you get. The sandwiches were good, the bread was fresh and warmed up, but I still felt hungry after eating my sandwich. The sandwich was not cheap at 9€. I couldn't eat any of the meat options (since I'm pregnant, no deli meats or cured meats, sadly) so I had to go with one of the vegetarian options (they had at least 6-8 choices to pick from, so that was good. I got the Broccoli: my sandwich had jarred marinated broccoli rabe, pickled zucchini, sun dried tomatoes, salad, a cumin hummus, eggplant and onions. I tasted mostly the broccoli rabe, pickled zucchini (tasted almost like dill pickles), and a lot of the sun dried tomato oil. It was delicious but not super filling for me. The bread is nice and fresh and toasted so that it's warm. Overall, if you eat meat, the meat sandwiches looked better to me than the vegetarian options. I would have preferred a normal sit-down meal for lunch, but this is good if you're in a hurry or if you want to grab a quick bite to eat before or after the Uffizi Gallery, as this place is really close. I'd come back for a snack but probably not for a meal.

Stella M.

Yelp
Most definitely lived up to the hype. Loved their panini... The bread was so chewy and the meat and cheese went so well... Thinking about their sandwich is making me drool... So good... Nomnom :) It's really close to the Ufizi Gallery so you can easily just drop by when you're in the area and grab a bite to eat... I would most definitely go back! :)

Yelp
You may not associate sandwiches as a primary beacon of Italian cuisine but don't be a dolt. Ino is a tremendous stop in Florence. A small, out of the way shop that opens up like a sandwich wonderland once you order. The bruschetta isn't the kind you usually see in America. It's not soggy tomatoes and bread. It's fresh vegetables and cheese atop crisp bread. The sandwich (got salami) was simple but delectable. Fresh salami and bread. Grab a glass of wine. Hope you can find a table. But definitely come.

Nates E.

Yelp
Amazing Paninis! We just randomly ran across this spot and my wife pulled me in. The menu was only in Italian but one of the workers helped us translate it. The paninis were amazing, mixing great flavors and fresh products! The seating is very tight......

Georgette J.

Yelp
Everyone has their favorite sandwich shop in Florence and this just happens to be mine. Ino is located on a tiny little street behind the Uffizi gallery located towards the arno river. Finding it can be a challenge but when you do you'll be stuffing your face faster than Dante Alighieri can mutter 'Inferno'. Ino is special because of the quality of ingredients. Everything they use is specifically chosen, the bread is tasty, light and properly crispy avoiding the dreaded 'soggy sandwich' syndrome. I love that they have really good vegetarian options with tasty 'mostarda' (a savory chutney) that meshes perfectly with seasonable veggies and saffron-infused pecorino (sheep) cheese. House wine costs around 1.50 a glass and if you come early you can grab a coveted 'barrel' spot next to the floor to ceiling windows. Ino - Ti Amo.

Yelp
This hole-in-the wall, right behind the Uffizi is worth searching for. There is an extensive menu of sandwiches, each big enough to share. Fresh top quality ingredients, fresh backed panini bread, and an assortment of drinks. The people are very nice and each sandwich is quickly made-to-order. Very few tables, mostly bar-chair height; if the weather cooperates just take your sandwich a few steps away and you can lean against the wall adjacent to the Arno and gaze at the Ponte Vecchio.

Joshua S.

Yelp
Very good panini place near the Uffizi tucked away in a side alley on the way to the Rialto Bridge. The menus are entirely in Italian, so be prepared to sort your way through that. The people working that day were very patient with my girlfriend and I as we tried to figure out exactly what we wanted. The inside is nice with a small room for ordering and a larger, modern space in the next room that you can sit down in. Paninis were great, made on some fresh bread with freshly sliced ingredients. All in all, a great place to stop off, recharge, and grab a real taste of Florence.

Rajkumar H.

Yelp
Amazing fresh panini! And this quaint little shop has a wide variety to choose from. The ingredients are all fresh and exceptional. Don't forget to try the local coke (Sensa caffeine! )

Yelp
Great sandwiches. I was on group tour (12 of us) and our guide recommended this place. It's been a few weeks so can't remember exactly the name but I did attach a picture. It was delicious. Highly recommend for lunch when walking around Firenze.

P J.

Yelp
This was one of the better-rated sandwich places in Florence. Though we stopped by at an off-hour around 4 pm, it was pretty busy and we had a little bit of a wait. It was definitely worth it, though. The sandwiches were very good!! We ordred two sandwiches. The bread was ciabatta with some sort of ham and cheese. It was very good, as was the prosciutto and another cheese sandwich! read more about our food tour on my site

Mar R.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches! We were wandering around heading to the main sandwich shop everyone goes to. We passed a tour group and the guide said this is way better than the busy ones on the square and more of a local spot. So we went in there instead. The breach was delicious, the cheese onthe bread was amazing and so were the veggies. All in all great sandwich! And they had several vegetarian and vegan options.

Kelly K.

Yelp
This is absolutely hands down the best sandwich I have ever had ! Sumptuous. Tucked away on the small street. A must if you're in the area!

Kyle G.

Yelp
Ah, that Toscanino. Definitely in the running for the best sandwich I've ever had. Crisp, chewy ciabatta bread. Freshly hand-cut pieces of salame and pecorino. And that magical fig mustard (at least I think that's what it was). The wife got a mortadella and parmeggian combo that I don't recall the name of, also quite good. The sandwiches here are all about keeping it simple with very high quality ingredients. They bill themselves as a gourmet sandwich shop, so the prices are understandably a bit higher than you would pay elsewhere, but worth it. We loved it so much that we changed our plans to go back for lunch a second time, although I unfortunately didn't enjoy my second selection quite as much (the habanero)... but I still walked away wishing I could try everything else on the menu.

Schelly Y.

Yelp
We came by for a quick bite before hitting up the museums. aaaahhhmazing. So simple and so delicious. The meats are freshly sliced and sit between this lovely crispy bread. They have a tiny cozy seating area in the back to wolf down your meal.

Sasa F.

Yelp
More of a local sandwich shop, but seen many tourists while we were there. Cute place. Both the panini and veggie bruschetta were good. A great rest stop to grab something to eat & drink.

Amanda P.

Yelp
We had two amazing sandwiches and wine for lunch. This place is creative and delicious. If there is a sandwich on the menu with stracciatella get it, don't even think about it! We would have tried a salad or something else but we have twin babies and there is no room for a big stroller!

Evelyn C.

Yelp
I generally don't like sandwiches. And though we were full since we had eaten lunch only an hour before, we couldn't pass up trying this place on our last day in Florence. It's a simple place, not much in terms of decoration, but it's cozy and comfortable; not too far from the Uffizi Gallery. Despite my general distaste for sandwiches, I had the best salami and cheese sandwich of my life at this place. It was delicious. Crunchy bread, perfectly seasoned and thinly sliced salami (some salami is way too salty), with a mild cheese...I'm going to say it was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Period. Service is brisk and not too friendly, but they're efficient, and the sandwiches are simple but delicious. At the entrance are several awards this little sandwich shop had received from multiple travel sites/agencies and food magazines/blogs. A must-stop for foodies. Highly recommend, and I look forward to going back here for another sandwich (hopefully soon).

Yelp
Believe the hype! I loved this place so much that I came here twice. I usually shy away from the tourist areas for food as they're mostly a over priced tourist trap but this panini focused lunch stop completely made me a believer. Freshly crafted panini with a true focus of the Tuscan food artisans means some kick ass flavours on the warm crusty bread that just delight your taste buds. Menu is completely Italian (good sign) but the ingredient names are all familar. With a bottle of red wine and a great sandwich with thick chunks of tuna, sauteed rapini, and bright sweet lightly acidic tomato, I tucked in happily just savouring each bite. The prices for these fairly large sandwich was a reasonable 8 Euro each. The place isn't large at all and there's barely any seat but the modern space makes this quite a contrast to the large and grand architecture design of the Uffizi beside it. It's been said the wait can be super long but the staff making the sandwiches take great care in crafting your meal. Highly recommend this place for lunch!

Zach W.

Yelp
Great panini in Firenze. Near the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Not the cheapest, but very good. You can get many Panini's in firenze, but this may be the most gourmet. Not necessarily the tastiest panini, but the flavour combinations are very unique. If you're looking to explore Firenze's many panini shops, this is a good option. Enjoy!

Kat F.

Yelp
The first time we stopped in, it was nearly empty, so we grabbed two paninos and two glasses of house wine, and perched at the barrel table by the door. It started raining, so we stayed awhile, and the vibe was cozy and warm. Highly recommend this hidden gem near the ponte vecchio. Don't miss it! I am still dreaming about the panino al parmigiano + salsa de tartufo. I had it three times on my trip to Florence. The chewy bread, the salty, melty cheese, and the earthiness of the truffles... heavenly.

Britney R.

Yelp
Amazing - you must go! I had a rosa salami, bufala di mozzarella, and turnip top panino - IT WAS THE BEST! The bread is crispy and light. We are English speakers and found the staff to be super nice and friendly :)

Thom And Vicky H.

Yelp
With its well lit glass-topped barrel tables and poetic graffiti walls, 'Ino is a space built for creating fond memories. Their panini can be super cheap or expensive, but are always worth trying; the vegetarian ones are so tasty, you wish you could finish two! The bread is perfect in softness and crunch, partnered with great cheeses and veggies. Swish them down with a 'bicchiere di vino' and the day is set.

Linda C.

Yelp
Cute place, but there are much better sandwich choices in the city like all' Antico Vinaio on Via de Neri. Had the "Sud" tuna panini with broccoli rabe and tomato; the flavor was bland and the broccoli rabe overcooked. Expected exceptional quality based on previous reviews.

OKae H.

Yelp
If you are close to the museums and want a quick bite (and a glass of wine) this is a great stop. Great selection of meats and cheese. Language can be an issue so make sure you know how to pronounce what you want or point at it on the board.

Sarah A.

Yelp
My new favorite lunch spot in Florence! Sad I didn't discover it sooner (been living in Florence for 6 weeks). They have delicious sandwiches, with so many kinds from which to choose, and the best part is the service, probably the kindness of any place I've been to this far. A must try!

Mona Z.

Yelp
Delicious filling sandwiches. Just wish the menu was in English too, I could figure most of it out but a translation would have helped. Mediocre phone reception inside but good ambiance. Gets crowded around meal times so try to go when they open. I went on a weekday when it opened at noon and got a seat but was filling up as I left.

Tom P.

Yelp
Great find, right next to our hotel. We stopped in for a quick bite and a glass of wine. Excellent!!

Ashley D.

Yelp
Fresh food, great prices and unique flavor combinations. It's perfectly located near the Ufizi so you will be in the area regardless of your Florence itinerary. The menu is completely in Italian but the staff is friendly and they will answer any questions you may have. The sandwiches are perfect for sharing and the staff will cut them in half if you ask at the counter.

John U.

Yelp
Extremely rude workers. They clearly did not want us there. They were so nice to Italian speakers but def hate tourists. Stay away from this place unless you like being abused. Terrible people work there. Uhg!

Becca P.

Yelp
I wish I could teleport for the sole reason to go to Ino for lunch. Amazing fresh bread, freshest of fresh meats, incredibly tasty cheeses - it is all you need to create the ultimate Ino sandwich. I have no idea what I ordered, since it was over a year ago, but everything was beyond words good. Also, all sandwiches come with a glass of wine - YES PLEASE! You need to make this a must stop in Florence!

Caroline W.

Yelp
Amazing, simple ingredients. No sandwich has more than three ingredients--because, well, that would just be too bad. I love love loved my truffle cream & mortadella, and also really enjoyed all of the natural sodas on offer.

M M.

Yelp
Fantastic bread, cheese, and salami. The staff was very nice. The food was delicious. The bread literally crumbled in your mouth when bitten and then there was nothing but yummy cheese and meat to chew. Wow. I agree, I wish I could teleport there for a lunch on any or every day of the week!

Melissa W.

Yelp
Perfection! My husband and I were looking to get out of the rain while walking around and stumbled upon 'Ino. We had already eaten lunch so we grabbed a few glasses of wine and waited for the rain to let up. After seeing the old school meat slicer, the simple fresh ingredients and condiments made with love, we knew we needed to come back here - so we did the next day! Everyone who works there is welcoming and helpful. There was little problem (if any) with the language barrier. I wish I could remember the exact sandwich I had but this was 3 months ago! It's definitely a great spot for a one of a kind sandwich.

Flynne R.

Yelp
Fresh food! We found this place through the New York Times and it's right next to the Ufizi so you will be in the area anyway. We had the prosciutto and Mozarella panini...yum!! The women that work here are so sweet and tried really hard to communicate with us in English, but weren't great, but we got the order in regardless! Definitely recommend this place!

Gresham W.

Yelp
Great sandwiches near the Uffizzi and Ponte Vecchio. It's a nice lighter alternative to the heavy Tuscan restaurants. We ate lunch here twice on our 3 day stay in Florence.

John C.

Yelp
If I had more money than I knew what to do with I would fly to Florence simply to go to this quaint sandwich shop just for their wine, fresh cheese, amazing bread, and tasteful sandwich. 'ino truly understands good service and how to satisfy the peoples hunger.

M K.

Yelp
Oh. My. God. Potentially the best sandwich I've had in my life. The choices are incredible. We tried to go back a second time, but they weren't open yet and we had to catch a train. Phenomenal place recommended by Katie Parla's app. So glad we took that recommendation! If you like Italian sandwiches and awesome bread, you must must must go.
