This is the kind of place that ought to pop into people's minds when they think of a proper New York dive bar. The music is ace, the beers and shots are cheap, the conviviality and conversation flows. Amy and Chris in particular are great bartenders. For a place to talk to all and sundry or just to sit and have a quiet drink, you could do far worse than head here.

This is a great Dive Bar in the Lower East Side. The bartender, Chris, was very cool. The decorations were fun. The prices for the drinks were reasonable. The vibe is laid back and friendly.

Wow. Walked in to order a beer for myself and my wife, and the service was absolutely awful. Despite us clearly being over 21, they still asked for ID, which was fine, but things took a turn when we didn’t leave a tip. The server actually shouted at us—completely unprofessional. What made it worse was the obvious homophobia from the server, and yet there's a queer flag behind the bar. It’s shocking. I've worked in New York and never experienced anything like this. We don’t let people like this affect us, but if you're in the area, there are plenty of other fantastic bars that deserve your business. There are multiple stories here from others who’ve been scammed. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

The blonde bartender was SUPER RUDE when they had to close. She turn up the light and in less than five minutes told everyone out loud to go home in a horrible way. I was eating some fries from next door, she took them away from me and was gonna throw them in the trash while yelling me to go home. I get that they were gonna close but they are always nice ways to tell people to leave.

NOW THATS A DIVE 🍺🍻 If you love drinking, you’re gonna love Iggy’s. My buddy and I went here the other day and holy moly did we indulge ourselves. The beer flowed freely and the conversations were good!!…until they weren’t. Later in the evening my buddy express some political beliefs that were really telling and, unfortunately, are grounds to cut him off. So in a lot of ways, Iggys is a sad place for me. But at least it’s one of the most fun sad places I have. Thanks. Keep it up.

Very quaint setting and atmosphere. Location is good and the service is fine. A great place for a small intimate crowd of friends to hang out, drink and share a good time with loved ones.

terrible, terrible service with an attitude for some overpriced, watered down drinks. I’m praying I don’t get charged twice.
