"The spruce herrnschlösschen hotel, located in the old town, is home to a delightful little restaurant whose stylish modern interior design seamlessly incorporates the building's historical architectural features – the huge wooden beam dates back to 1526! There is a set menu bearing the name "INNOVATIVE KLASSIK By Sascha Bungeroth", which comprises five courses and includes a few added extras. Following stints at several top-flight establishments, here the chef takes his cue from the seasons, with dishes such as pickled Canadian scallops with sesame, horseradish and tonburi, or Franconian veal fillet tartare, burrata, olives and pine nuts. Here, diners enjoy sophisticated dishes like carpaccio of smoked goose breast and braised veal with truffles, followed by elegant desserts such as pear-and-marzipan cake with raspberry sorbet and chocolate sauce. Also on offer is a solid wine list with plenty of German and French varietals, as well as a romantic garden that’s perfect for eating alfresco in fine weather. Stayed a there a night and wished it was longer. Had a delightful senior suite with plenty of space and charm. Great bathroom, comfortable bed, and quiet! The hotel is in a great perfect location — close to the action but removed enough to be peaceful. The staff were legit and incredibly helpful. Four Seasons quality service! Check-in was a breeze, breakfast was delicious and generous, and the overall experience a 10!

We stayed over night and explored the area. The town is beautiful and we enjoyed the wine festival there! The weather was nice and even though warm we didn’t have any problems with it. I highly recommend the hotel and the staff were very friendly and hospitable! The room was very clean and comfortable and nice to sit in after the tour around town. The hotel is beautiful! Definitely worth the visit to see the town and stay in the hotel!!! Also don’t miss the opportunity to go to the night watchman’s tour!

The Hotel Herrnschloesschen is fantastic. From the moment we arrived we felt received a warm welcome from the staff. |The room was spacious and peaceful overlooking the historic Franciscan church. |The bed was especially comfortable and both my partner and I slept well. |The bathroom was great and well appointed. |The breakfast was served in a wonderful garden and the food was superb.

Excellent hotel! The owner and staff were very friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The wifi worked great. The complimentary wet bar is great and breakfast was wonderful. You can't beat the location - just a block from market square and just across the street from a huge church (our room had a great view). The famous night watchman tour goes right past the hotel.

Had a wonderful experience staying here! Perfect location, very clean and Cengis was a perfect host! Felt welcome from the minute we entered until we departed. The breakfast was fabulous! Our room was nice and the bed was so comfortable!

Treat yourself with a stay at this hotel. Location is top notch! Worth every penny to get up early and walk the area before all the tourists arrive!||Service is above and beyond as staff were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. ||I was worried about parking but there is an option to find a public spot (paid overnight) or they have spots subject to availability.||Room was a more traditional style but super clean and went with the vibe of the visit. ||A really fun and comfortable place to stay to explore the beautiful buildings and scenery.

Our visit to Herrnschlösschen was a full success last week; not least because of the multitalented receptionist/waiter/manager Filip U., who excelled at motivation and competence to make our stay agreeable and pleasant. Despite the restaurant being officially closed, he and his kitchen team served us a delightful meal in their wonderful garden. The only thing I wish I had known in advance is that the access to the well situated hotel is right through the center of this charming medieval town--for some reason we didn't think one could drive there, and so we wasted some time trying to park the car...

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic-- a beautiful, spacious room, luscious garden, and special dining experience. The hospitality of shown by Phillip was incredible -- above and beyond -- throughout our stay. And the five course meal with wine pairing was a truly unique, delicious, and fine dining experience (highly recommend)!! The party sitting next to us was local and had waiting 2 years to get a reservation. The location of the hotel is very convenient, and I can't recommend staying here enough if your travels bring you to Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
