Henry Public is a cozy Cobble Hill pub boasting grass-fed burgers and sophisticated cocktails, making it the perfect spot for laid-back nights or lively brunches.
"Henry Public is a perfect Sunday night restaurant. Lacey curtains and glass dividers between some of the booths make it feel like an old tavern house or pub, and they have a very solid burger that's made with fancy grass-fed beef and served with salty fries. Come with friends and share some deviled eggs, or come alone with a book. Just be prepared to be interrupted by a friendly stranger who's curious about how the themes in whatever you’re reading relate to a story they recently saw in the New Yorker." - willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, bryan kim, neha talreja, will hartman
"Henry Public is a Sunday night kind of spot. It's comforting, easy to get a seat, and you can let the sounds of Steely Dan wash over you before embarking on a stressful week. The small pub in Cobble Hill checks the boxes of Brooklyn stereotypes that are both charming and also kind of ridiculous. Namely, there’s a note on their menu ensuring that the beef is all grass-fed and the dairy is organic, and we once overheard a discussion on the larger themes in Pop Star: Never Stop Stopping. But that grass-fed beef makes for a wonderful $21 “hamburger sandwich served with french fried potatoes.” Come alone and bring a book—someone will probably ask you what you’re reading. "This Brooklyn saloon, with a limited “Bill of Fare” of simple and homey food, including a great burger, is perfect for a late supper and whiskey cocktails with friends. On weekends, the boozy brunch has locals flocking from all over the borough. Photo: Daniel Krieger"

"Outfitted in lots of wood and featuring a fireplace in its dining room, Henry Public has warm, cottagey vibes. It serves standard bar fare like a solid burger and grilled cheese, but it also has some throwback bar snacks such as radishes with butter, juniper pickles, and deviled eggs that give the place a bit of a 1960s feel. For drinks, the martini is a timeless option. Bonus is a happy hour Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with an $8 cocktail of the day and $5 draft beer." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya
