Haleiwa Shave Ice

Service was great and atmosphere was awesome but it was not what I was expecting for shave ice. It was basically like a snowcone which was not what I wanted. Find a better shave Ice place because this is not it. I was hoping for real fruit flavors and got none of that.

I don’t write reviews but had to for this. Save your time and money. This place is the worst shave ice in Haleiwa. Go to any of the others instead. Service =trash, food=trash, and atmosphere =trash. One hour wait for an overpriced shave ice that had no flavor.

It was our first time to the North Shore and we wanted to stop for Shave Ice. We had the best experience, great customer service and the Shave Ice was amazing. We wanted the works so my whole family ordered the Pineapple Express. It was so creamy and delicious which also included coconut jelly. We’ll definitely be back for more the next we’re in Hawaii.

I understand that shave ice is a requisite dessert to have on the north shore, and this is my stop every time I make this drive. I do not know what coconut jelly is. It looks like little translucent maggots. Don't be scared. It's heavenly!!!! Very messy, very sticky, very mouthwatering and refreshing, this over the top mess is worth the drive!

Really getting tired of disappointing my Sweety by trying to take her here for her favorite shave ice place of all time only to find a "I'm gone for a while and have no idea when I will return" sign on the door. This has happened far too many times and I am tired of sitting in the sun for 15-30 minutes waiting for someone to return. After 20 years of making this our exclusive provider of shave ice, we are done. Too bad, really. After the parking lot FINALLY got fixed we were always looking forward to coming back and supporting this little local business.

My first time and a must try when visiting Hawaii as it seems to be a local delicacy, I was totally impressed and tastes so much yummier than perceived and looks. We did a Build Your own, great flavors and topping options, this surf town joint is awesome, laid back no fuss, super chill and the staff are killer friendly. A super yummy refreshing treat to cool you down and enjoy with ya'll amigos in the sunshine whilst in beautiful Hawaii. I'm stoked that I saved my first Shaved Ice experience for this place, it was phenomenal. I wish they would provide the Ice's in compostable packaging or plates like other joints, there is a lot of single use plastic which is super bad for the environment. My friend also got a rushed one at first, but I politely showed the staff and they were more than generous to make a new one which tasted totally different and easily redeemed the experience. Support local businesses!

Haliewa Shave Ice has potential.. little hole in the wall..colorfully decorated. One man crew..orders and shave ice maker. Covenient Small parking lot about 6 to 8 cars.. depending how skilled and thoughtful drivers are. Shave Ice.. starts off good with a fine shaved ice. BUT there is limited flavors (one size $5.00) each topping is another cost. Flavors are super watered down or they need a new brand. Generous serving of tiny mochi balls, for some reason they had a strawberry taste. I gave Haliewa Shave Ice a 3 because it has potential.. great location, parking, no line, fine shaved ice. Just gotta work on selection and flavor of flavors.

Not good at all! No napkins, no trash cans to throw your shaved ice cup away . Trashed piled up outside. How is this place still in business.
