"Bergino Baseball Clubhouse, Greenwich Village by 345 Design. A baseball art gallery filled with unique items that you can't find in other places. Art pieces and handmade collectibles– not the traditional memorabilia of autographed stuff that shows up on eBay. Hosting baseball book signing events, podcasts and more."

Yelp
A must stop for a good experience. Plenty of food eateries here and the vibes are just on point. Would stop here again.

Yelp
Greenwich Village is a very affluent and beautiful neighborhood that's located within Manhattan. Not as touristy as many of its' counterparts, but I feel as though that's what makes it all the more enjoyable. Spent some time here while wandering through New York and really fell in love with the beauty of the architecture and the free spirits that were playing music and performing within Washington Square Park. This is an area where I felt safe walking around at night. It's well lit and the city pretty much glows in the dark. It's home to the stunning Washington Square Arch and park and a few branches of New York University. Found tons of cheap places to eat around the campus and several local markets. This is a great place to people watch and to take a walk if you're into that sort of thing. Would love to spend more time in this area during my next visit, but it was most certainly a super fun district to explore.

Yelp
I prefer my bronze, tanned, muscle witch, but I guess a Green witch will do, for the time being. After all, life's a greenwich and then you die. But the truth is, I have 99 problems, but Greenwich ain't one. Much, much better than the bougie and hipster and snobby Greenwich in London, this is the heartbeat of perhaps the world's greatest city, or formerly greatest (thanks Giuliani and hipsters). Since I was 16 years old wandering the streets of Greenwich Village at 3am with literally no money whatsoever, this has been one of my absolute favourite places to hang out and wander around and experience what it really means to visit New York City. There's nowhere else like Greenwich Village in terms of tolerance (and taller ants... and shorter ants too) and excitement, and the different things that you might see are too eclectic and plentiful to describe. But it's also safe and sleepy and I have slept on the streets of these little neighbourhood alleyways many times. You'll find lots of expensive stuff - also some good stuff and some excellent food - and despite the hipster influx, GV still maintains its presence as the gay capital of the entire East Coast USA and long may that be the case. West Hollywood and San Francisco are rivals, and Chicago's Boystown is lagging behind, as is Houston's Montrose and Deep Ellum of Dallas... but GV is the North American winner for rainbowishness. So it's a pretty spectacular part of New York City - as all the villages are (West, East, Greenwich, etc). I probably like the East Village slightly better for people watching and for things that I like to eat, and they have great stuff here as well. Indeed, Greenwich Village and the West Village have some fantastic stuff as well and MacDougal Street is right here in Greenwich Village and you can't get any better than MacDougal Street when it comes to people watching and all kinds of deliciousness so the it's easily 5 stars from me. But my secret fave spot in the West Village/Greenwich Village is Washington Square Park. Close to my fave Boba Guys location, not far from a Xi'an, and a perfect hang out spot for all the sexy college kids and awesome performers, skateboarders, fun people, under the shimmering light of the spectacular arch. Life is at Washington Square Park. Come here any night and see for yourself... but not too late at night, because they kick people out after a certain time... welcome to the Land Of The Fr... oh wait.

Yelp
A lengthy novel would not even cover everything that needs to be covered when reviewing Greenwich Village. My family has history in the neighborhood going back generations. Musicians usually do and artists of all kinds. I love this neighborhood. It is a must see if you are a tourist. The narrow streets with fun shops and food await your pleasure. i'm looking forward to my return when the weather allows. For now I'm posting a few photos I've taken in the past during my walks. I have hundreds. I wonder, is the record store still there? I love the leather shops too. Places are closing and it makes me sad. I'm just going to have to get back down there to see for myself. In the meantime if you're visiting NYC wander through the Village and take photos to post. Especially photos of the Old Historic Shops. Feel the spirits and vibes before they're gone.

Yelp
Greenwich is one of the coolest neighborhoods in Manhattan. It has a long storied history of artistic cultivation. The neighborhood is also very scenic. If you learn the history of the village, exploring it will be even more rewarding. There's also many crazy activities happening in the streets, sanctioned by the city and university. It's one of the most storied neighborhoods in the city. Located surrounding New York University, it's a center of artistic expression. There's often some kind of activity in Washington Square Park. It's best known for the Arch, but there's a large area for concerts. The park is probably the most well known area of the neighborhood, but it extends far beyond that. It has a great parade on Halloween. The pubs are mostly classy but not snobby. It has many alternative friendly businesses. There's vegan friendly cuisine especially along MacDougal Street to the west of the park. There's countless music stores with folk music that made this area famous, along with new artists no one's heard yet.

Yelp
The Village is an enclave of the avant-garde/ alternative culture; an artists' haven - the former Bohemian days; the former CBGB bar, house bars, nightclubs and comedy clubs. It also hosts the annual Greenwich Village Halloween parade and the LGBT parade. I have always enjoyed an evening in the Village for an open-mic, dinner at a pub/ restaurant, followed by a bar, continued with dessert/tea and ending with a quiet reflective moment in Washington Square Park.

Yelp
It makes me so happy being in New York City. There are so many eclectic neighborhoods, but I don't think you find one more so than GV. I think you can find something to do 24 hours a day with just a little effort.

Yelp
I love Greenwich Village NY!! It's a happening part of town bustling with all kinds of people hanging out. There's restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. It's near NYU. It's where you'll find famous actors hanging out or living. Maybe you'll catch Justin Theroux hanging out. It fascinates me because actors love it and also all the young yuppies. It's pretty expensive to rent around the village.

Yelp
Great area, nice vibe. New York has so much to offer, and so many places to enjoy yourself. The Village is no exception. I was there for the Halloween Parade. It was live, vibrant and fantastic. All this, after the terror attack on the bike trail earlier that day. I love NY.

Yelp
This is my one of two favorite neighborhoods in NYC! My son and I visited and were kind of done with sight seeing tourist destinations so we decided to just walk around the neighborhoods. We ended up in Greenwich Village and know that we want to come back on our next NYC trip! Such a cool atmosphere here!

Yelp
There are many parts to Greenwich Village in lower Manhattan. There's the part around Washington Square Park and MacDougal Street, East of 6th Avenue. This area was once the Greenwich Village that housed the Beatnik cafes and, later, the folk music clubs. Today, much of this area is part of NYU or fast food shops. There's the East Village, which is almost wall-to-wall restaurants of every ethnic food, convenience stores, boutiques and hair salons. But, if you're looking at the part of Greenwich Village that retains the look and feel of a place that was home to many intellectuals and artists who once flocked to New York City, you should stroll the streets west of 6th Avenue, starting at the Jefferson Market Garden, perhaps the most beautiful in Manhattan, on the site that once contained the Women's House of Detention and the Jefferson Market. You'll see that every bench is usually occupied. Head down to Christopher Street, check out the storefronts once typical of old New York, the cafes and make sure to notice the now landmarked Stonewall Inn. Make sure to walk up tree lined Bedford Street, with its eclectic mix of two and three story 19th Century houses. Some may be older. It's hard to put into words how tranquil and even romantic it feels to sit in any of the cafes or wine bars, many with outdoor patios. Because words can't convey the visual uniqueness of the West Village, I'm posting some pictures. I hope you get to take pictures of your own of what may be the best neighborhood in Manhattan

Yelp
Very beautiful area, and one of the most happening area as well. Many people don't come and visit it, but its the actual night life of NYC, the NYU campus, Washington square, MacDougal street. Some of the newest and hip stores and eateries and clubs and very nice neighborhood. Rec: best for after dinner hangout out place.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite areas of NYC. Thou the city holds a special place is my heart. Not only is it the city in which my mother grew up it is a city that I have traveled to probably 100 or so times. Greenwich was always a favorite place from the old basement record stores where I asked the clerk for a certain 45 record and he walked over to the wall and plucked it out. There most have been 10,000 45's in that wall and he plucked out "Hurricane" by Bob Dylan. One of my other favorite memories could be the time my sister and I were walking in the village and was trying to decide if we wanted to walk back to Alphabet City of get something to eat. Pizza I believe. That was one heck of a slice. The village did go down hill for a bit. Then Guilanni took over and cleaned the place up. We still go to greenwich village every time that we are in NYC. From Murray Cheese to Chumbley's speakeasy to some of the best food the city has. I love Greenwich with a passion almost as much as I do NYC itself.
