Green Cove Harbor Seal Rookery

It was great watching the seals from the cliff! They were all taking naps when we showed up and there must have been at least a dozen down there.

Parking Note: There is no signage for the Rookery and parking is very unclear. Park at the end of Navigators Reach Road or the Pebble Beach lot. Do not park on the road in Sea Ranch, you will get a ticket! Don’t miss the gorgeous coastal walk along the Sea Ranch coast en route to the Rookery. The seals come out with the sun so go early!

This is our favorite place to watch the seals along the Sea Ranch coastline. It is particularly interesting when the tide is lower, as there is more rocks exposed for the seals to climb up onto. It is wonderful that this is a protected area within the Sea Ranch, making it a location where the seals feel safe to sun themselves on the rocks.

Great place to stop and view the sites from up top. You can hike down to the beach and relax, fish, and feel a little protected from the wind. The hike is steep but worth it.

We were fortunate enough to see some seals here also a very beautiful part of the coast lin.

Short hike here from our rental. A lot of wildlife. Beautiful views. Tide pools were teeming with life.

Very nice sight with roaring sea waves and seals basking in the sun peacefully.

I see seal on TV many times, but seeing them in real life and with such a peaceful trail to look over sleeping seals, connects you to the animal world.
