"If this really is the world’s first pizza subscription service, you have to wonder what took so long. General Assembly Pizza launched in downtown Toronto four years ago with a purpose-built counter service and takeout facility designed to rapidly sate the gourmet-pizza appetites of the worker bees occupying nearby towers and lofts. As lockdown descended, founder Ali Khan Lalani noticed a run on frozen pizzas at grocery stores and put his idle team to work, figuring out how to freeze a quality pizza for cooking at home."

I had such a hard time choosing which pizza to order because so many sounded delicious! I will absolutely go back to try more flavours. I had the sweet heat and the balance of sweet salty and spicy was perfect. I also forgot to order dips but I didn’t need them because the pizza and the crust were so good on their own. And service was so fast!!

I came here after watching an evening show since they were opened later than most restaurants in the area.  It’s not a full-service restaurant, so you will need to order and pay at the counter first.  They will give you a number to bring to your table, and will bring you the food when it’s ready.  Napkins, cutlery, and spices can be found by the wall close to the counter for customers to help themselves. My companion and I ordered the Fern Gully and King Shroom Pizzas. The pizza here was good, but I personally don’t think it’s the best in town. Each pizza is a personal size, and they have a large selection of pizzas in both “red” and “white” sauce bases. The restaurant has plenty of seating, and the vibe here was casual and cozy.  They have an open kitchen so you can see them preparing the pizzas in the back. Reservations are recommended during peak meal hours, but walk-ins are welcomed.

Went in person to order during the tax break on January 29th and they still charged me tax which means they pocketed the money themselves. They tried to be shady and didn’t give me my receipt until I asked. When I called before coming, they suggested I order online which is charging tax AND an app fee. I will be sending this information to CRA as this is non-compliance if the restaurant doesn’t get back to me. Additionally, the pizza consisted of 4 thin slices. You’re not getting much for this $20 pizza. I got the sweet heat and it was flavourful but I would not return after my experience with them doing shady things and taking advantage of customers.

Ordered this just before closing. Last call on weekend was 9:50PM. It was good, but not GREAT. Oddly enough, when I had ordered the same pizza via Uber eats, it was a LOT more cheesy. Even the level of black pepper in person was off. Overall they are good. Price range is $16-20. Ambience is nice. Parking around the area limited.

Google
Never had their pizza before but it was great:) Ordered two small pizzas from uber eats during a sciatica flare up. Made a little note on the order thanking them for making this time a little easier for me. They wrote some sweet notes on the box ‘made with love and care’ ‘hopefully you feel better’. Gah.. so Unexpectedly sweet. It made my night. Thanks for being such awesome humans.

Google
Not only is it weird having to enter at a different door and order at a different counter for takeout, sitting to wait in the takeout area also feels like you’ve been relegated to the utility closet compared to the comfortable ambience of the main dining room. Ingredients seemed to be of decent quality, but they are sparingly used, which makes the 10” pizza not very filling no matter what toppings you order. The dough is an unfortunate combination of ashy/smoky and floppy. Even the outer crust was soft and not crispy, which doesn’t help the structure of a thin-crust pizza. Service was fine and wait time was quick, but I was overall disappointed with the experience.

Best pizzas in Toronto! Ambience and Service is on point! My go-to place to satisfy pizza cravings! Other menu items are gelato, classic salads, wine, beer and cocktails. Worth a visit! Make reservations for bigger parties!

Google
Visit recommended! Fun fact! Due to the pandemic, they now have frozen pizza options in select stores (Loblaws, Metro and Sobeyes) Tip: ordering a combo of pizza + beer or wine is cheaper. 👍 Owner, Ali was inspired by his visit to Naples in Italy and fascinated by the offerings of authentic Napolitano pizzas with only two options on the menu, margarita and marinara. He decided to create a similar experience in downtown Toronto in 2017. This beautiful a Idea churns out Italian style pizzas with a home made special sour dough starter that provides the perfect texture for their pizzas. Partnering with Death in Venice Gelato company based in Toronto, they created a unique offering for seekers of authentic Italian pizza and you can have gelato desserts. They have a decent bar with local draught beers on tap too. You can enjoy a perfect evening of pizza + wine or beer with good urban music. Prices are also pocket friendly.

Yelp
Such a good vibe in this place. Love the decor and the staff were so friendly and patient as I fumbled through the menu. Really enjoyed the vodka sauce pizza and they even have a full bar plus gelato! So fun! It's right in downtown but there seems to be several lots around I'm just not familiar enough to know the policies around what's actually available.

Teena D.

Yelp
I had supper at General Assembly on Monday evening. I ordered a Loving Cup pizza (grass fed mozzarella, ezzo natural pepperoni, grana padano, wild oregano) and it was sooooo good! The staff were friendly and took good care of me.

Chad R.

Yelp
This will be simple. I ordered take out tonight. I saw the bill. I wasn't too happy I saw the box size when they gave them to me and thought of the bill. I wasn't too happy. I opened the box to see pizza that I would normally feel was way too small for the size of the bill. I wasn't too happy. Then. I tasted it. I have travelled the world and this was some of the best pizza in had ever tasted. The dough is perfection. It was worth every penny of that bill. Very very happy.

Yelp
Met up with a friend here for after work dinner. This spot is pretty spacious and nice inside. You order at the counter and pay and then they bring your food to your table. It's pretty much a self serve kinda spot. There's water, chilli peppers and other stuff at the side. The pizzas are pretty thin and one is good amount for one person. We got the LAMBORGHINI PIZZA and the KING SHROOM PIZZA (with hot honey drizzled on top). The Lamborghini pizza was more like a middle eastern type of pizza. I've never had lamb on pizza before and this one was not bad. I actually prefer the king shroom pizza even though there was no meat. It was light and the lemon wedge added a little kick to the pizza. The hot honey was also a really nice addition. Overall it's a decent place for pizza. I'll come here if I'm in the area and can't decide where to go.

Roger Z.

Yelp
Went there for lunch today and did not regret it. Their pizzas are sized for 1 person and therefore perfect if you want to treat yourself for lunch. I got the "Certified Lover Boy" and loved it. The tanginess of the caciocavallo paired really well with the pepperoni, sausage, and hot salami. The CLB is probably my favorite of theirs, but I'd probably go with something lighter if I had a lot of work left in the afternoon. The dine-in setting is also beautiful and surprisingly romantic for the price point, ideal for a casual date night. The pizza and wine combo is terrific value, and they have lots of drink options if you'd like a little more. An all-around great option for both a quick lunch or an impromptu date night. The only thing to remember is, like most pizza places, the pies take about 20-30 minutes to cook, so place an order in advance!

Emma B.

Yelp
More like 3.5 stars. Stopped in for a pizza and beer. They are small pizzas, individual serving. Got the sweet heat, flavour was good, however very thin base and taking a bite of a slice all the toppings came off in that first bite and you were left with just sauce. Sat outside, really like the twinkly lights. Service was decent.

Yelp
So the family and I just came to visit Toronto for a few days and this was our first really meal of since being up at 2 or 3 in the morning and all the travel so we were starving, and it's pizza Friday so we came here. The restaurant was clean you can see the cooks making the food in 2 big pizza ovens and good seating and the music late 90s early 2000s hiphop what more can you ask for. The pizza was great though my wife prefers hand-toss thicker breaded pizza she still enjoyed it. You get seated the you go to the cashier and order pay and wait for you food. No cash it's completely cash free so get your credit cards ready for this one. Good beer selection not great but good and the other alcoholic drinks come in a can so make of that what you will. Other then that great experience and great food.

Debie L.

Yelp
We had dinner here the first night we got to Toronto. Great friendly service. The food was sooo unique and delicious. I got the certified lover boy (of course I had to for the name) The ambiance was lovely, many groups in there but not too crowded. Hoping to go back before we leave!

Yelp
Another check off my pizza bucket list! I recently visited General Assembly and tried a variety of their pies. I was excited for the Fern Fully since it's a mushroom white pie but there was a note that I didn't love, likely the toasted walnuts. I really enjoyed the Loving Cup, which is their pepperoni pizza so when I went back for my second visit, I decided to try their CERTIFIED LOVER BOY which has grass-fed mozzarella, caciocavallo, ezzo natural pepperoni, pork sausage, bacon, and hot salami. Though not overly generous with their toppings, there's definitely a healthy helping and enough for me personally since their meats are on the salty side. With the use of a wood oven, the crust is soft and slightly chewy, but there's no real crisp to it. All in all, a good quality pizza and perfect if you're looking for a personal size! They make pick up from their Adelaide location super easy (with a separate entrance from the dine-in part of their storefront) and service is friendly.

Jayme H.

Yelp
This place was ok. I ordered takeout rather late on a Monday night. It was one of the only options still open by the time I got settled into my hotel across the street. They have a separate entrance for takeout. It's outside near the patio, which is beautiful by the way. I loved the colored lights and seating along the sidewalk. I ordered the cesar salad and the margarita pizza. The fella that took my order was friendly enough but I found it rather odd that they didn't offer utensils to eat my salad with. He eventually found a piece of silverware he said I could just keep, which I appreciated. I wouldn't have ordered a salad if they couldn't give me anything to eat it with. They also didn't have any water... so weird. My food was alright but I likely wouldn't return because there's a lot of great food options nearby.

Mj S.

Yelp
It's an OK pie. Flavours are there and I love their less basic offerings but the quality and size seems to have gone downhill in the recent years. The first time I had General Assembly Pizza was last year, using their frozen pizza delivery service. At the time, I was a huge advocate for them, recommending them to all my friends and family. Straight out of the oven/air fryer even, the frozen pizzas tasted as if they were fresh from a restaurant and the quality was top notch and didn't at all taste like frozen. Ordering fresh from the restaurant, you'd think it'd be even better. On the contrary, their pizzas are now super thin. Like another reviewer said, you're better off getting a pizza from quick places like Pi-Co or Blaze. It's very unlikely I'll be back to the restaurant nor will I be ordering their frozen pizzas again.

Keith L.

Yelp
General Assembly offers a pretty good quick personal pie: good flavours, thin pizzas, and a nice crust. We had the lamb pizza and the mushroom one, both were unique in their flavours and satisfying in their own way. The restaurant is mostly self-served: you order at the counter and get your own water+utensils. Decor is simple, modern, and filled with wall plants. Overall, it's a great spot for a quick bite to satisfy some pizza cravings.

Helen T.

Yelp
Their margarita pizza was phenomenal! You can taste the quality of ingredients they chose and the crust was cooked to perfection. It may look a little burnt, but did not have the burnt taste at all.

Alison F.

Yelp
It was very good! Casual, quick service, decent pricing! Went in after recommendation, will go again.

Brandon T.

Yelp
Incredible pizza and incredible service. Shoutout to Robin for helping me out and making this place an incredible experience for me. Would highly recommend and love their pizza!

Andrew L.

Yelp
This is your nice, thin crust pizza. We got the certified lover boy and king shroom pizzas via ubereats. The CLB was delicious, with fantastic pepperoni, sausage, and bacon - it has a bit of spice. The flavours were great. The King shroom pizza had ample mushrooms and lots of cheese. Overall, I felt that the pizza was slightly overdone and had too many burnt spots. Additionally, the sweet garlic sauce was a little too sweet for me personally, but was tasty!

June W.

Yelp
After all thegood reviews on the frozen pizza, I was disappointed to say the least. I followed the instructions carefully, checking the oven teperature, but by the time the cheese had melted, the crust had hardened and tasted dry and like cardboard. My pizza bore no resemblance to the one on the box, which shows lots of cremini mushrooms. The ones on mine were widely spaced, and few. All in all, not a good experience. Back to Farm Boy. June

Chloe O.

Yelp
Heard of GA pizza so many times and finally had a chance to try their pie. They were one of the vendors at Under the Big H beer festival. Saw so many people walking around holding a plate of King Shroom pizza but when I was ready to order, it was sold out. Loving Cup ( perhaps name came from Rolling Stones song?) was fantastic though. Quality of loaded pepparoni, texture of dough, thin layer of tomato sauce... was simply perfect... to go with my sample beer from beer fest! Next time I would love to try lamb pizza and shroom pizza!

Chuan C.

Yelp
5General Assembly Pizza is breath taking in several respects. The restaurant itself has long rows of tables used for seating (if indoor dining is allowed) or for an assembly line of preparing pizza (during pandemic times).  This can all be seen through several large windows from the street. There is a main entrance (not used during pandemic times) and a pickup entrance (at the other end). Then there are 3 large fire pizza stoves that can also be seen from the street. We bought the "Loving Cup" Pizza ($13.50 or $14.50 via Ritual). It is made with is made with tomato, aged mozzarella, grana, pepperoni, and wild oregano. We added a honey drizzle (additional $1.00). The honey is highly recommended since it adds a sweetness to the slight kick from the peppery taste. Extremely delicious! We must definitely try more of their pizzas. They also sell 4 types of salad, wine, and beer. You can also order frozen pizzas from them (4 for $40). Uniquely, you can also buy make-your-own pizza kits: 2 Pizza Loving Cup Kit ($21.00) and 2 Pizza Mila Margherita Kit ($19.00). What is fascinating is they are the first in the world to offer a Pizza Subscription. Pizza can be delivered to you (free delivery) in stacks of 4, 6, 8, or 10, for as little as $39 or as low as $9 per pizza. 2021-005

Yelp
Good pizza, but nothing special. The space is minimal and well kept, and the service was friendly. My husband ordered the sweet heat and it was the better of the two. On the other hand, I had the Sgt. Pepe and it was pretty average. It tasted like something was missing, as the flavor just didn't come together to create much. It really just tasted like bread and decent alfredo sauce. The Green Salad was actually better than my pizza. Though I wasn't blown away, I'd return to try some other pies.

Kiara F.

Yelp
Certified Lover Boy pizza had so much flavor. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the place was clean. Would eat here again.

Karen Z.

Yelp
Felt very welcomed as soon as we entered. Great music & chill ambience. We had the Mushroom pizza & the Lover Boy pizza. Both absolutely delicious! Also they make their own chili oil that was outstanding as a way to add heat to your pizza. Fantastic service with very attentive and friendly staff.

Jenny T.

Yelp
My friend and I came here on a Sunday evening to grab some takeout pizza. I ordered the King Shroom pizza because I love mushrooms and I love bleu cheese (and cheese in general). The pizza did not disappoint at all. The crust was perfectly thin and the toppings were tasty. I ate my pizza on the go, but I'll be sure to come back when I am in the area to eat in their dining room.

James O.

Yelp
Staff were nice. Sauce    1.2/5 Crust    1/5 Cheese     0.9/5 Ingredients 2/5 Airiness 4.5/5

Michael L.

Yelp
I know a lot of people love their frozen pizzas that can be reheated at home so I went to the Adelaide location which was neat when you order and they'll bring you the food afterwards accordingly to your number. They have a very nice and intimate space that doesn't feel like a fast-food establishment. They make it to order in the pizza stone oven and was definitely piping hot. Their pizzas are on the thin side with a side of chilli oil and dipping sauce for an extra cost. I wasn't really blown away by the pizza I feel like I would've enjoyed a blaze pizza or PICO instead more.

Will T.

Yelp
Hey oh! Why only 3.5 stars? This place gets 4 from me! Order at the counter and seat yourself. The pizza toppings were quite unusual and cool. I tried the most mushrooms one, Fern Gully and it was savoury and sweet. Modern and hip decor, the washrooms were friggin pristine! Cashless and didn't ask for a tip either. Smooth.

Vi L.

Yelp
Really like the pizza here! Super thin crust, really flavourful pies. Nice! First time I was here, I got the Falco Sausage. The sauce was delicious, and the sausage had a kick to it. Tasted super fresh (obviously, it's made to order), the crust was slightly charred and definitely had some character to it! They even have brunch pizzas. I ordered the basic beach: Double Smoked Bacon, lots of cheese, egg, and a healthy dash of black pepper. Simple, delicious. Had it with a nice chilled glass of rose, what more can you ask for on a Sunday afternoon? The prosciutto is really good too.

Reh L.

Yelp
Walking in here to pick up my takeout order, I was super impressed with the layout of the place - simple, clean, and bright - exactly what I'd want in a restaurant. The oven is huge and the open kitchen really adds to the the allure of the dine-in experience. The pizza itself was marvelous - the margherita was great but it was the Lamborghini (middle eastern style) which had a creative & delicious combination of flavours (tomato sauce, lamb sausage, mint, parsley, onion, mozarella, zaatar, yogurt sauce). The dough was perfectly chewy and decently charred, but I do prefer my pizza a bit more crisp on the bottom. All pies are individually sized and reasonably priced, so it was a great dinner idea in this economy. The salad was also pretty good, and while the croutons and sun dried tomatoes were great I didn't love the cashew dressing. Overall, it was a great meal and I'm looking forward to going back!

Gayan P.

Yelp
Good pizza. Dough was perfectly chewy. Cheese and toppings were great. Little bit on the small side, but it made for a good pandemic-era delivery pizza night. Would do it again.

Meera K.

Yelp
General assembly found a great way to adapt during the pandemic!!!! They sell frozen pizzas that you just need to heat up for ~5 min and eat! They are delicious, great option and great to just have in your freezer for a lazy evening! The pizza are not as crispy and delicious and fresh, perhaps cooking them a little longer would help

Justin T.

Yelp
I was craving pizza last night and General Assembly came to mind. I fired up Ritual on my phone and ordered a Sergeant Pepe pizza (white base with cream, mozzarella and black pepper, $12) and made my way over. While the restaurant's seating area is closed, they have a take-out area on the side of the building by the parking lot. I arrived a few minutes early and found my pizza waiting for me in a warming oven, and supplies of hand sanitizer and napkins right by the takeout counter. Service was friendly and fast - just the way I like it. I was starving and decided to do what pretty much everyone else was doing - eat it in the parking lot while it was hot. The pizza was divine and while I didn't add any extra toppings I'm glad I didn't - it was deliciously simple. The base was perfectly cooked and the cream made a decadent alternative to a traditional tomato-based pizza. For $12 this is a really good dinner option and they are clearly focused on quality and freshness which makes a difference. One pizza per person is about right, but if you're super hungry (or feeding more than one) I'd definitely add a side salad to spread the meal a little. Sorry, no pictures this time - it didn't stick around long enough. Pro tip: They also sell make at home pizza kits which is a really cool idea!

Yelp
In an effort to find a holy grail pizza in Toronto (I found one recently in Edmonton), we tried out this relatively new place on a weekday night. I like the concept of the restaurant, you order up at the front, they give you a number, and you seat yourself along the long tables or one of the bench seats along the windows. You can watch the kitchen as they whip up pizzas or watch people walk by outside. It's a nice relaxed vibe in a pretty space. Unfortunately, I found the pizzas disappointing. We had the Don Diego ($13) and a King 'Shroom ($14). The crust is thin and well charred, giving a great base for the ingredients. The portion is enough for one person for a full meal or two people for a snack. What I didn't like was that each pizza was dominated by a single ingredient. The Don Diego was all fire from the jalapeno and the King 'shroom was all blue cheese from the gargonzola. All the other ingredients were lost to these prominent overpowering flavors and was basically a waste. I think I will keep looking....

Maggie Y.

Yelp
Loooove their quick takeout section! It was hot and fresh! Depending on how busy they are, you get a hot fresh pizza in probably under 5 mins! We were there prime time dinner time so it took maybe 10-15 mins! The pizza I admit is more for one as it's a small Neapolitan thin crust! Regret not getting two instead of just getting one to share! Super close to our hotel, great place to chow down after bar hopping in the entertainment district! If you want to grab something quick you have to try this place! Wayyyyy better and much quicker than your average fast food pizza chains! Can't wait to try this mushroom one next time!!

Vince P.

Yelp
Swanky self serve. Some crazy combos for pizza toppings that were unexpectedly delicious. Great soundtrack playing in the background

Bev K.

Yelp
This is wayyy classier than your typical pizza joint. It gave me strong hipster vibes but people were very friendly. I was told it gets super busy during the lunch rush so we headed to GAP at 11:30 a.m. It's completely self-service, grab a menu, figure out what you want, and go to the cash to place an order. Someone will deliver the pizza to your table but that's as far as it goes. You fetch your own water and cutlery. Apparently there isn't tipping so that's always a plus. We sat at a communal table that was next to the table of people standing there assembling our pizza. Efficient. I also want to give a shout out to the people who came up with the punny names for each pizza. But this where the good stuff ends because I felt the pizzas weren't that delicious and certainly not worth the price point of $14 for a 'porky pine'. 3.5 stars. Will I return? Maybe not.

Connie B.

Yelp
Im Toronto for the weekend and wanted to try a local pizza place. Found this gem and def recommend! Food and service...chef kiss!

Mary Jane S.

Yelp
The food was excellent...We started off with the General Bread and It was so good that I had to order one for take out and bring home! We also had the Certified Lover Boy and Hot Potato pizzas which were also delicious! Thank you to the wonderful staff who were very friendly and courteous!

Lian P.

Yelp
Did a quick Google search of pizza places near Kensington and this was pretty close by. Indoor dining is self seating but you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We got the sargeant Pepe and loving cup pizzas. The portions are quite small however it was enough to fill 2. We also got the Boylan orange soda and cream soda which went really well with the pizzas. Would recommend!

Larie L.

Yelp
2nd WORST Gourmet Pizza we've eaten in Toronto! We've never really liked burnt crust in a pizza and this is the kind of pizza we got from General Assembly. We ordered two kinds of thin crust Pizza: Loving Cup & King 'Shroom and both have burnt crusts! I know there's a fine line between 'charred' and 'burnt' pizza and I'm telling you the pizzas here are flat out burnt! They don't have that smokiness flavour more of a bitter/acrid taste. The Loving Cup with pepperoni is so bland, dry and lacking taste. The King 'Shroom white pizza is just plain boring and even the roasted garlic chips didn't help much to elevate the taste to the next level. The place is super chic and modern but I'd rather go to a shabby and small pizzeria that serves amazing pizza than go to this fancy looking places that makes awful tasting pizza! We also paid $32 for two pizzas and a Boylan pop - pretty pricey considering we didn't really enjoy the food! Will not be returning here for sure.

Lloyd L.

Yelp
So I wanted to work my way through BlogTOs Best Pizza in Toronto list. 9 spots. This was my first stop and number 9 on the list. Ample street parking outside. Not an issue at all. Inside, if you have social anxiety, good luck. The seating area is dominated by a long picnic bench style table with benches and stools on either side. Asking a stranger to sit beside them is hard at times, but people are generally nice. I understand why it would be difficult though. You walk up and order food and drinks. (Nice touch was the pin pad didn't prompt me for a tip. A lot of counter style restaurants ask for tip for handing me the goods I'm paying for? Damn) You're given your number and drinks (Apperol, a fruity soda type of cocktail which was $9 and an overpay imo, and my pint of Henderson's for $8) to head back to the table. My wife and I ordered the Lamb Borghini and the classic, a Margherita pizza with a side salad. Food came out really quickly even though they were busy which was nice. My pizza was pretty disappointing. I felt like it was pretty sparsely topped (pic attached) and the toppings that were there were not that flavourful. The chilli oil they have available in squirt bottles on the side really helped. The pizza was also really floppy, which surprised me given the char on the crust and since I was expecting crispier for a wood fire pizza. I would give this pizza a 2/5. Margherita pizza was standard and good. 3/5. My friend had gotten the Sweet Heat which has hot salami and honey on it, which was really good. 4/5 Portions are really small. My buddy and his girlfriend got 3 pizzas and a full salad between the two of them. My wife and I were still hungry after eating our two. Ended up spending $53 for the two drinks, two pizzas, and the side salad. Good experience, not great, but you can't really fuck up pizza.

Michael L.

Yelp
Ordered on foodora and had it delivered. They offer some nice options for their pizzas. Lamb Bourghini if you like lots of lamb. Definitely a flavorful option. Supreme leader was also pretty nice, though the amount of toppings did not live up to the name. All the pizzas were kind of overly salty though. Not sure if it's too much salt, or the spices/garnish they they add. Might be better if you dine-in.

Andrew L.

Yelp
I give this restaurant four stars. I tried Generally Assembly Pizza for the first time last night and really enjoyed it. My wife and I ordered the Mila Margherita and Porky Pine pizzas and the Shredded Kale Salad through Ritual. The style of the Mila Margherita was traditional - extremely thin crust pizza with dollops of cheese and fresh pieces of basil - exactly how I like it. The tomato sauce, cheese and basil were all very good individually, but they were even better together, and the balance between their flavours was almost perfect. The crust tasted really good but it was very floppy - that is my only complaint. The combination of ingredients on the Porky Pine was phenomenal. Double smoked bacon, jalapeños, pineapple, onions, double aged mozzarella and ricotta cheese. It was salty, smokey, spicy and sweet. This pizza was absolutely delicious. Again, the only drawback was the crust being too floppy. The next time I order I will request the pizzas be well done. A crispier crust could potentially take these pizzas to the next level. The Shredded Kale Salad was very good. Kale is usually tough and difficult to chew but because it was finely shredded that wasn't the case. The thinly sliced parmesan and pecorino cheeses, currant, sun flower seeds and lemon dressing made for a good balance of flavours. The currant and sun flower seeds added a bit of texture but they were kind of sparse. More seeds or the addition of nuts would make the salad more flavourful and add some crunch to it. I was very satisfied with the quality and taste of the pizzas and salad at General Assembly Pizza and I will surely be back. Highly recommended. Four stars.

Yelp
This was very nicely packaged with lots of branding . The pizza was cold though but extremely Tasty I got the sweet heat... it was delicious that spice of the salami with the honey is a great combination. Olives were fantastic ! They had my favourites in there Castelvetrano The kale salad was tasty but needed a little Bit more dressing. Overall - I would definitely order from here again

Yelp
Decided to order this pizza to be delivered to our hotel room on our last night in Toronto. They were open on a Tuesday night which many of the really good places aren't. The pizza wasn't as large as we'd ordered in the past BUT it was extremely tasty and fresh. You can tell that they truly use fresh ingredients.

Yelp
If wood fired thin crust style pizza is your kind of slice, then look no further and come to general assembly. You won't be disappointed! They offer a variety of delicious selections to share, or eat for yourself (almost too hard to share). A friendly environment and decor, truly brings this restaurant together. FOOD We ordered the Don Diego (mozzarella, chorizo, cream, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime) and the Sweet Heat (tomato, mozzarella, hot salami, chili, honey, basil) Both were very delicious! We won't get into depth about toppings because thats preference for everyone, pineapple should be on pizza fyi everyone, but what really matters here is the foundation, the bed, what are we talking about ladies and gents? the pizza DOUGH! The pizza dough is an experience. Its light, has texture and some chew, character and flavour from some char on the crust. This is how you know a pizza is good. And general assembly doing it well. Forget the topping ima just eat that cooked pizza dough with some chilli oil/house made olive oil they provide at the table. Only reason we gave a 4/5 is they are a cashless restaurant so just keep that in mind. Let us know what you think!

Yelp
Excellent thin crust pizzas with fresh, delicious ingredients (Neapolitan with a twist) and reasonable quality wine (we were even given a taste) with a modern atmosphere. Order at the till, casual hip crowd, not too expensive. This is the second time we ate here, both experiences were great. We had read recently about their pívot during Covid and how they are delivering frozen pies all over the city (6 to a box?), even present in some grocery stores I hear. Good luck with that part of the business! We will return.

Yelp
I've heard about General Assembly from a few people that's its one of the best pizza places in Toronto. I knew I had to try it eventually but never got around to it. Of course on one of the coldest days this winter, I decide to take the trek out through the snow and slush to General Assembly. It's a very simple restaurant. A small menu with a selection of pizzas and a few different salads. You order at the front counter, grab a metal number sign and seat yourself. Once your order is ready, they'll bring the food to your table. If you want to grab a drink, you can order at the same front counter and they'll pour it for you right away. Note: They have Moscow mules on tap! There are also counters along the side where you can find your cutlery, napkins, chilli oil and olive oil. This place is very much a casual self serve so you get everything yourself and there's communal seating as well. The food itself was pretty good. Their pizza crust was my favourite part. Charred, smoky and chewy. I could eat that plain just with some oil and garlic. One pizza is the perfect portion for one person. Since the crust is pretty thin, and the toppings are fairly light, it's a nice dinner that won't make you feel gross after eating the standard cheesy thick crust pizza. The only reason why I deducted one star is because their vegetarian pizza options are pretty limited. From what I saw, there was the typical margherita, a mushroom one, and a vegan one. I wish I tried the vegan one instead, the margherita was a little too low on toppings for me. Still a really great pizza joint though, would recommend!

Yelp
Ordered two pizzas for pick up from General Assembly. The margherita pizza was my favourite! Tried the Sweet Heat pizza which was also great. If you're looking for personal size pizzas that are thin crust (but fluffy) this is a great option!
