Fresh at Crawford is a buzzing eatery where modern vegan dishes meet made-to-order juices, all served in a cozy, lively setting with a stellar heated patio.

Walked in for brunch here on a Sunday morning. They have lots of seating indoors as well as at their outdoor heated patio. Most people opted to eat outside. Just a note too that the heaters above can be pretty uncomfortable and feel like the heat is too direct depending on where you’re seated.
Had the beet juice which was good. They made two for our table from what it looks like was the same juicer and mine had visibly less than the other drink and was also a lot frothier, so could improve there on consistency and quality.
Their burger was pretty good and filling. It’s a really big bite and had lots of toppings on it.
Would be down to try their other menu items also another time.

QUICK TAKE: A plant-based powerhouse that turns healthy eating into a crave-worthy experience. Trust me, even your carnivore friends will be impressed.
🔑 INSIDER TIPS:
• Peak hours: Weekends 11am-2pm get packed
• Secret menu hack: Ask for extra puffed quinoa on anything
• Patio seating has heaters, perfect for those crisp Toronto evenings
• They take allergies SERIOUSLY (tested personally with my fiancée's restrictions)
🍽️ MUST-ORDER DISHES:
1. Nachos ($16) - Not your average tortilla chips situation. These are loaded with house-made cashew queso that's somehow both rich and light. PRO TIP: Add the buffalo jackfruit (+$4)
2. Onion Rings ($12) - Forget everything you know about onion rings. These babies are encrusted with puffed quinoa (genius!) creating a next-level crunch that'll haunt your dreams. The batter-to-onion ratio is PERFECT.
3. Avocado Toast ($14) - Yes, I'm that millennial ordering avo toast, but LISTEN: their house-made sourdough is the canvas for perfectly ripened avocados. They nail the seasoning every. single. time.
4. Matcha Latte ($6) - As a matcha snob, I can confirm these are legit. Perfect temperature, no bitterness, just pure green tea bliss.
👥 SERVICE: 5/5
The staff here deserves their own review. Special shoutout to the morning crew who remembered our allergy requirements after just one visit. That's the kind of attention to detail that builds regulars.
🏠 AMBIANCE: 4.5/5
Modern meets cozy with plenty of natural light. The heated patio is the crown jewel - somehow they've created an outdoor space that works year-round (a miracle in Toronto).
💭 THE EXPERIENCE:
Visited 7+ times during a week-long stay (yes, it's THAT good). Each visit was consistently excellent, which is rare in the restaurant world. Whether grabbing takeout or dining in, the quality never wavered.
🤔 WHY IT WORKS:
• Allergy-friendly without compromising flavor
• Consistent quality across multiple visits
• Equal attention to both dine-in and takeout orders
• Thoughtful touches like biodegradable packaging
• Menu variety that prevents healthy-food fatigue
💡 BONUS TIP: Join their rewards program. The points add up quickly if you're a regular, and the birthday perks are worth it.
🎯 BOTTOM LINE:
Fresh at Crawford isn't just another healthy restaurant - it's a testament to how plant-based food can be both nourishing and crave-worthy. After trying practically the entire menu (no regrets), I can confidently say this spot deserves a place in your regular rotation, whether you're vegan or not.
PARKING: Street parking available, but can be tricky during peak hours. Consider using public transit or rideshare

I can't recommend the food at Fresh more—amazing flavours and incredible textures combine to make their food a wonderful vegan experience.
The enclosed and heated patio makes for a comfortable winter eating experience, but is open and airy in the warmer seasons.

It was my first time at this location, and I absolutely loved everything I ordered. If you're ever in doubt, order the Sun-Kissed as your drink. I wish the portion sizes hadn't gone down, but either way, I am willing to pay for quality food. Their chocolate cake is delicious. Service was also good.

A staple vegan restaurant I love frequenting. They have a couple locations in the city but I visit the one on Queen street west and Crawford street the most. The squash tacos are my absolute favourite, it’s a must try. The hot sauce is so unique and spicy, it’s truly elevates any dish. They also have a great wraps and smoothies. The hello gorgeous smoothie is like a strawberry milkshake and the glow up smoothie tastes kind of tropical and like coconut. As for deals, they have happy hour everyday from 3pm-5pm and 8pm-close which include $8 bites (including squash tacos), $5 sips and $10 cocktails. The service is always good and the outside patio is a nice aesthetic.

My takeout order is wrong at this location more often than it is right. Something is missing 4 out of 5 times. Sometimes it's just a topping, like scallions, sometimes it's a main part of the dish, like avocado in a bowl, and sometimes it's even as egregious as the tofu/protein that the whole dish is meant to be centered around.
I am a very regular customer because the food is healthy, the location is convenient, and the menu largely work with my diet, and strangely I never have these issues when dining in. It's like the staff make the takeout order with their eyes closed. It doesn't seem to matter if you order on ritual or call ahead, the experience is the same.

I came down on hot summer afternoon and ordered the Dragon Fries for an appetizer, the green 2.0 juice and the amazing Protein Bowl on soba noodles. Everything including the service was very good and the patio was also quite nice. Will come again when I have the time.

Update: Tried this place one more time, but sadly this will be the last time. Got a side of their miso gravy and it was so nasty. It was super liquidy and had a really bad metallic taste to it. I don't actually know how they can serve something like that to people. I don't know if this was a bad batch because I had it in the past, but this was so off-putting and inedible. How could miso gravy be so bad?
Ordered the balance bowl and despite it not actually supposed to come with black beans, I am finding a lot of black beans mixed in with my rice. I can't digest black beans well so now I'm having to pick them all out. As well, the brussel spouts in the bowl are practically completely raw and hard.
