What a great experience!!! It was amazing to sit down with people we didn’t know and enjoyed a great meal with strangers. Very organized, Súper reasonable priced and good homemade food! If I’m in Copenhagen again, this is a must stop!!!

I attended a community dinner at Folkehuset Absalon, hoping to connect with locals as promised. Instead, it felt more like a tourist hotspot—thanks to a NY Times review, most attendees were fellow travelers. It gave off hostel/Tinder vibes, with some looking for more than just dinner. While the food was decent, the lack of genuine local interaction was disappointing. I spoke to one of the cooks who confirmed that it's now more of a tourist event. I won’t be back.

Such a cool experience in a cozy atmosphere! It was my first time there at one of their community dinners and I loved it. Be sure to book your spot in advance!! The food was delicious and the staff lovely.
