Opened in the mid 1800s, after the destruction of Cologne's older botanical garden, it has a mix of German, French, Italian and English garden elements. It's open daily and free of charge, making it a great daytime activity. And, if you're hungry, try out the Flora cafe for a nice lunch. Very beautiful and interesting location. When I went to there, it felt like slipping out of the busy city and into a green pocket of calm. The big glasshouse caught my eye right away — shiny and kind of magical in the sunlight. I just strolled around without a plan, finding new corners all the time: colorful flowerbeds, quiet little ponds, and even spots that felt like a mini jungle. What I liked most was how the place kept changing mood — one moment tidy and elegant, the next wild and free. It was the kind of walk that leaves you lighter when you head back out.

Such a wonderful Camellia exhibition. This is a rare and very beautiful collection and so wonderful to visit. Still open til April 7th. However a lot of blossoms will bloom soon!

Great garden to visit but it is not that big, you will see so many beautiful flowers and trees that you never see before, they have an access from different streets and you don’t have to enter from the main gate, the main issue is no parking.

Amazing park with plants/ flowers from all over the world designed in a unique arrangements In addition to a greenhouse. Restaurant available with nice theme as a picnic where you can take food jars in a basket & enjoy it anywhere in the park . Entry is free . Suitable for weddings & large gatherings.
