"Eavesdrop in Brooklyn combines high-end sound systems with a bar experience, featuring local DJs five nights a week." - BySam Stone
"Over the past couple of years, a slew of bar openings from Eavesdrop in Greenpoint to Honeycomb in Park Slope and All Blues in Tribeca have touted a certain kind of experience meant to attract audiophiles and those looking for a sophisticated atmosphere." - Emma Orlow
"Nassau Ave G If sitting in a soothing room filled with lots of blonde wood while listening to selections from a killer vinyl collection sounds like your idea of the right way to pass a winter’s evening, you’ll be glad to know that Eavesdrop is as close to the Nassau Avenue G stop as you can get without actually being inside of the station. The cocktails—such as the vesper-esque martini with both vodka and gin—are great, and there are a few small plates for snacking. Bar seats are reserved for walk-ins, so if it’s especially brutal outside, know that you have a fighting chance of getting a spot. " - Neha Talreja, Kenny Yang, Carina Finn Koeppicus
"At this Japanese-inspired listening bar, they take their music seriously. There are acoustic panels and turntables spread throughout the warmly lit space, and you might spot a Japanese edition of Kurtis Blow’s debut album, Kurtis Blow, hanging out behind the bar. If you’re a music nerd, come here, and bring a date. There’s no standing room, and all of the tables in the wood-lined space tend to get booked, so plan a few weeks in advance. In warmer weather, check out the backyard." - Bryan Kim, Neha Talreja, Kenny Yang, Willa Moore
"When it opened in early 2022, Eavesdrop was incredibly difficult to get into, even at 6pm on a Monday. But now it's not too hard to snag a reservation at this Japanese-inspired bar in Greenpoint, where the music ranges from deep house and illbient to disco and R&B. About the size of a railroad apartment, the room is pleasant and serene, covered in white brick and blond wood. It’s a cool spot with great acoustics, but keep in mind that there’s no standing room. You either have to book a table or try to snag one of the bar seats saved for walk-ins." - Bryan Kim, Kenny Yang
