Double Bay Street Festival

The Double Bay Street Festival was pretty awesome! It had a huge number of stalls ranging from accessories, art, home decor, clothes etc. The shops were of mostly Australian made products, largely handmade.. and a few from other countries including Indian handlooms, Nepalese handbooks etc. The focus was largely on sustainable and recyclable products, which are environment friendly. There was a whole street dedicated to food.. with food trucks.. covering most cuisines.. Turkish, Israeli, Indian, Asian.. dumplings, mini pan cakes, brownies, desserts.. barbeques and what not. Considering the hot/humid/wet weather, there was something for everyone including lemonade, cane juice, ice creams and fruit juices The place itself had a lot of shops and restaurants around. There were also some really wicked cars on display by Maserati and Ferrari too, as they were sponsoring the event. Overall it was a Sunday noon well spent.. and the weather didn't spoil the fun until around 3:30-4 pm. The Double Bay Street Festival is Sydney’s most popular annual street fair. Some 80,000 people attended this year’s festival on Sunday, November 5. The local Falun Gong group took part once again, allowing many local residents to learn about this ancient traditional practice of meditation and self-improvement.

Fantastic stalls and atmosphere. I loved that it was nice laid out with space to move around. The Sam McNally band at the end of the end was fantastic!!

Double bay... i would say this is the best place for a decent night life... bars and hotels... great choices
