Tony met with Frank Künster, legendary Berlin bouncer. They had pork schnitzel with brown gravy and boulette (pork meatballs). They discussed the nightclub scene in Berlin.

i came on 27th of august, bought eggs and only saw at home that they are best till 28.08. one day?! for real, you sell 10 eggs that expire in one day? shame and can’t even imagine what they are cooking from 🫢

Found this place by change while walking around the neighborhood. There are outdoor and indoor dining available in the shop. The shop is a butcher while at the same time sells German pork dishes . Food was delicious, served hot and affordable. Hardly any waiting time and perfect for if you are on the go.

Google
Incredible spot. Well priced, great atmosphere, quick and attentive service! The food was great, they do a very nice cordon bleu and the portions are massive. Should be an okay spot for a gluten free diner as well. Will definitely be returning.

Google

Google
Although sad inflation they offer still good German dishes. Probably you can get more German dishes than any other fancy German restaurants with better price(relatively affordable) and good(enough) size. Blood sausage is my favorite. Unfortunately there were no more the famous cucumber salad. So I had a German potato salad, it has just the taste, which I remember as a German potato salad.

Google
My fav place in Berlin. It looks (and tastes) like your mom or your grandma cooked for you, with a selection of local foods and drinks. Place is absolutely informal, prices and food are great. Not your place if you value looks over substance.

Google
Friendly shop keepers who tried their best to explain to us who were touring Berlin. I followed the local and tried raw pork (Mett Brötchen), and meat patty for breakfast. Yummy and reasonable price. Lovely place and lovely people. Wish we could try their lunch. I do believe the taste is authentic Berliners food.

Yelp
I love any kind or traditional homey food when I travel, so I was absolutely thrilled to find this spot unexpectedly. It's a butcher but they have amazing and affordable comfort foods like bludwurst (blood sausage) eisbien (pork knuckle), gulasch, bratwurst etc. i chose the eisbien and while it doesn't look so appetizing, it truly is! The potatoes and sauerkraut make it a huge meal, and at 9 euro you really can't find anything of this size and quality around. The mustard was honestly the best I've ever had and it's just an all around special place. I came at 3:30 pm with barely a line and one table left to sit outside (plenty inside) and by 4:30 it was empty. The food comes out in moments. I was still eating an hour later bc this plate is gigantic. Friendly service too. I don't speak German and the girl at the counter didn't speak English, but we made it work. Pointing, context and a smile go a long way!

Yelp
Excuse the very scary photo of my food - it was very brown but very excellent!! You can get a hot, delicious, traditional meal here for the low low price of about €7-8. And the portion size is unreal. Easily could feed two people. They have a lot of traditional German options on the menu but I opted for the bratwurst with potatoes and sauerkraut. I ordered on Uber eats for pickup mainly because I was worried about the menu being overwhelming in person. Pickup was seamless and the food was packaged nicely. I tried to plate it in a somewhat elegant way and failed wildly. Despite it being the ugliest plate of food I've ever eaten, it was up there with the best in terms of taste. My only regret from my trip to Berlin is that I didn't go back to Domke on my last day. Really great diamond in the rough.

Yelp
Five stars five stars five stars five stars !!!!!! What could I say is bad about this place??? I visited Berlin, to see my best friend and she asked me if I had any preferences as to what we did. Easily, my thoughts all flew to Anthony Bourdain on his last episode of Parts Unknown & how much he enjoyed this butcher's meal! And that was precisely what I wanted upon arrival to Berlin -- a hot meal that I believe if I had a German grandma, she would make it for me! They have a big menu outside however I was disappointed to find out that they did not have Goulash when I got there. Instead, I ordered the plate with Rouladen, potatoes & cabbage. To say delicious would be an understatement. That meal hit. the. spot. Highly recommend for a new frills, super filling and quality homey meal!

Yelp
Piping hot traditional food served nearly instantly for about 6 euros. Saucy gulasch was not dry nor fatty. Rotkohl and potatoes were excellent. They were busy on Saturday at 3pm but I was helped quickly and had no problem. The staff was moving very fast so I recommend knowing beforehand what you want. The menu is outside too. Space inside is mostly standing with self serve utensils.

Yelp
On my first night in Berlin I wanted some home cooked German Food so I came here. It is a butcher shop that serves traditional German Food. I did not have a friendly experience. I order the schnitzel and the women behind the counter spoke German to me and I politely told her I didn't speak German. She got visibly upset. It went down hill from there after she plated my food I order a additional side dish and that upset her even more. Not sure what happened but I felt it was some kind of dislike for tourist or Americans. Food itself was so so. The goulash was very dry. The schnitzel was too salty and was greasy. The boiled pig knuckle was pretty good. Good flavor and very tender. The side dishes potatoes and red cabbage was delicious. The prices were amazingly inexpensive. 5.50 euro on average for a plate.

Yelp
German grub food for the win! I love how this dive spot stays open till late, 4am! It's such a hearty meal - especially after drinking during the night hours! Late night meal here will surely satisfy and prevent a hangover! Do order their goulash potatoes! I got pasta and it was okay. I ordered up the wrong carbs and added sauerkraut because I devour sauerkraut! They give big proportions and don't skimp! It's delicious and homely!

Yelp
I don't think it gets much better than this - a butcher making fresh homestyle German meat plates with all the comfort sides you've expect. I mean ... a butcher would know their meats right? Fleischerei Domke cooks the meal my German grandma would... if I had a German grandma. It's homely and comforting food that sticks to your ribs. I ordered the schnitzel (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/iriy3D7FCSnTjkp-qcijhQ?select=Bv_yAP4PefQagBYExRVc9g#Bv_yAP4PefQagBYExRVc9g) and it was so lovely - nicely fried meat served with a healthy serving of potatoes and red cabbage. It doesn't get much more German I've imagine. Other menu items include brats, goulash, blood sausage, stuffed cabbage rolls, and more. My new friend I met while sharing the bench had this amazing looking ribs that fell off the bone. Prices are great with most items under €5. I could kick myself that I only ate here once on my last day especially since I lived so close to it but for a perfect homestyle German dinner to bid farewell to an awesome city, Fleischerei Domke was just perfect.

Yelp
Must go. Should be a butcher shop but in reality a place serving simple German homestyle food that feeds the soul and nourishes all that is good inside. Service is quick and definitely look at the yelp photos to understand what you are getting. Gulasch in potato or pasta variation is what everyone gets. Meat is pretty lean (but you will encounter a little fatty, soft, gristle) and the potatoes and pickled cabbage round out this meal.

Yelp
For about €6, this is the best authentic German food you'll find. Simple but so good. Completely worth making a trip to Friedrichshain!

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside. Then you have the food and you realize it's a delicious entry into the world of nommy German food. I actually came here due to the positive Yelp reviews, and was very pleased. The inside has some basic seating arrangements but I took mine to go (photo added, mine has the Styrofoam box with potatoes and schnitzel.) I got Schnitzel, potatoes, some wurst, currywurst, and a boulette for a little over nine euros, which is a. great and b. dangerous because I plan to come back... a lot. I will come back and see if I can buy meat from them too instead of from Lidl and if I notice a quality difference!

Yelp
Great German comfort food for a great price of around €6. My favorite is the Gulasch with potatoes. The portion sizes are huge and is very filling. The meat is cooked nice and tender, and the potatoes nice and soft. The red cabbage provides the perfect amount of acidity and sweetness to cut through the richness of the meat and potatoes. Highly recommend and one of the best German restaurants in Berlin!

Yelp
As others have so rightly said a 5 euro portion of the goulasch could feed two hungry people. They are almost performing a social service with the price of their meals. But their meat prices are not so cheap though. I paid a whopping 32euro for 2.5 kg of oxtail! That really is extortionate!

Yelp
There was an amazing German grandma type that served the most comforting soul food. Potatoes that just melt in your mouth and yummy purple cabbage. Wherever you're from this food will sooth you and make you feel better, especially on a cold winters day.

Yelp
Good basic German food, clean, professional and value for money. If you want to buy meat in Warschauer Str area- that's the place to go.

Yelp
Cheap and hearty no frills German food. DELICIOUS. Favourite place to eat in Berlin for sure. Do yourself a favour and order the Gulasch or Schnitzel for a super cheap €5... Eat there or take away.

Gyan B.

Yelp
Real nice Schnitzel, red cabbage and potato dish (€5). Friendly staff too! The menu was in German which wasn't a problem, but I'm sure they would be happy enough to help you out in other languages (at least try to). Enjoy!

Yelp
You get here delicious German food. Eat Schnitzel or Bratwurst with Sauerkraut. Perfect for foreign tourist to taste German food.

Troy A.

Yelp
Good, cheap Berliner/ German food. Not many of these around anymore due to the influx of cheaper Turkish places but this place is definitely worth a visit. Food is good & portion sizes are pretty big. Most dishes are between 5-6 €

Yelp
You can't not love this place, a butcher shop that serves huge, hearty, cheap meals.

Stella S.

Yelp
I've eaten here a couple of times before and it's been fine. But a friend and I ate here tonight, and we are both feeling very sick now. I'd be careful here.

Yelp
Maybe this place works well as a fast-german-food restaurant. But only one star for the chicken legs from the butcher's section. Low quality industrial-type chicken with disguising+disgusting marinade that made our bowels move a lot.
