This is my fourth time coming to Damso Korean and it never disappoints! The pork belly is always flavorful and perfectly cooked. I finally tried the tteokbokki rose this time—wow, SO good. Creamy, spicy, and super comforting. Also had the kimchi tofu soup, which hit the spot—warm, rich, and full of flavor. The food is consistently amazing and the vibes are always great. Definitely one of my go-to spots for Korean comfort food in dt Vancouver!

Google
The best Korean food ever I had in Vancouver even better than what I had in Korea. I highly recommend Korean short ribs and seafood bibimbap. These are soooo good. The staffs here are so nice and charming. I'm deeply impressed by their customer service.

Google
One of the best Korean I’ve had in a long time! The food is simple but incredibly delicious and flavorful! Even the appetizers are sooooo good! My favorite was short ribs 🔥The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Google
The place is small but comfortable, the staff was friendly and we didn’t wait to be seated, the food was pretty tasty and the portions are good, they have a all you can eat option.

Google
The Soy Pork Bulgogi Bowl was one of the best plates I've ordered in Vancouver so far! It was a warm and really happy surprise! Me and my girlfriend also were really well received by the satff! Such a great restaurant!

Susy W

Google
The taste and amount of food is amazing! Cheese Beef ribs are so nice ! It tastes sweet and delicious! The chicken is also amazing. The price is fair even at downtown. Definitely will come again. My friends love them as well and my friend recommended me here. Perfect recommendation.

Jessica Lemmo

Google
The space is small but the flavors of the food are great! We tried the Korean Taco, Sweet Soy KFC, Spicy Pork Bulgogi Bowl and Soy Pork Bulgogi Bowl. Not one dish disappointed! Highly recommend!!!

Google
We came here to try the all you can eat pork belly!! The food was delicious and the pork belly is very flavourful. The all you can eat also comes with various side dishes, soup, salad and rice. The all you can eat costs ~$25 during lunch hours (12-2:45pm) which is really worth it. However they are very strict about leaving leftovers and will charge you for a small piece.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner with my friends, and this was not our original pick. The place we wanted to go to next door was closed for Good Friday. The place is small, and the food is ok. I've had better korean food back in the bay area. Their tteokboki was overcooked, and it fell apart into pieces. My friend didn't even finish the dish. I didn't expect it to be super spicy, so that was surprising. As for the seafood soup, it was decent and paired well with rice. I got the corn cheese and enjoyed the burnt top, but felt like it could be burnt more overall. There wasn't any seasonings on the corn and was tasteless - even with the cheese. Not pictured was the galbi, and wow it was $40. Such a small portion for what you get. Friend said it was good but could get more for the price elsewhere.... Overall it was disappointing.

Carmen P.

Yelp
Food was very tasty however, portion sizes are a touch small. The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. Service is great but they don't serve any side dishes or hot tea. Which is strange for a Korean/Asian restaurant.

Yelp
I was violently craving some kalbijjim and I saw that Dam So was only a mile or so away from my hotel, so I scurried on over. Given that it was a Saturday night during peak dinner hours, I was expecting there to be a line out the door. Dam So is very small and kind of easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There are only 7-8 tables inside, and very minimalist but modern design inside. Surprisingly, from the time I walked in to the time I walked out, I was the only person in the restaurant! But this was both good and bad, I got fantastic service (with offers for additional banchan), but I also felt like the staff was staring at me the entire time I was eating, which made me a little bit uncomfortable but I am certain they had good intent I really appreciated how the servers were kind enough to check in with me about the taste of the food Dam So's Kalbijjim (soy braised beef stew) features perfectly braised potatoes, mushrooms, rice cakes, and seared beef. It comes with a side of rice, kimchi, and pickled radish (usually served with KFC). While on the pricier side ($40CAD), it was a fairly large portion, and definitely enough for more than one person. As much as I wanted to finish everything, I was only able to eat about half my rice and like 2/3 of the kalbijjim. It was very rich and flavorful -- definitely tasted like it was prepared with love by someone's grandmother (note: there were no visible 할머님s in the kitchen). Dam So is definitely a modern Korean vibe - expect limited banchan offerings and soft pop English music in the background. It's a great place to go for a special occasion, when you're willing to spend a little more for a satisfying meal in an intimate environment. Despite other reviews, I thought the portion sizes were more than fair and even a bit much for a single person (probably intended to be shared!) And taste wise, I'd say it's on par with other famous restaurants like 대호 in San Francisco, that ALWAYS has a line out the door. If you're looking for attentive, kind service, and don't want to spend your evening making a line for other establishments on Robson St, give Dam So a try!

Yelp
only waited about 15 minutes and got seated! really friendly staff and ordered the galbi jim, fried chicken, corn cheese, and rose tteokbokki, soju, and some beers. only con is that the rule of this place is each individual person must have his or her own dish, so we couldn't "share" but we did since after all since we ordered a dish per person. bathrooms are clean, great vibes. food was yummy but not the most yummy (but still satisfying if you know what i mean) hehe

Katherine S.

Yelp
TL;DR: BEST Galbijjim I've ever had. Everything else was also soooo good Came by for a late lunch to grab a quick bite. We had no expectations, as the menu seemed like your status quo Korean food. Boy, were we surprised. FOOD: ~Korean Fried Chicken (5/5): When it first came out I was disappointed with how the sauce wasn't evenly coating the chicken. Didn't matter, was so good! And the sauce at the bottom was enough to scoop up. We got the sweet and spicy flavor and it was amazing ~Kimchi Cheese Fries (5/5): I'm a sucker for any loaded potato, but this was so good. The kimchi was braised, the pork was tender, and the cheese was deliciously melty. I ate the whole thing ~Korean Short Ribs (5/5): OMG SO GOOD.. how did they get all that flavor packed in there.. I also loved that it came with rice cakes, onions, and mushrooms. Waited for my husband to say he was done eating and then ate the rest Even their kimchi and radish were amazing! Definitely a must visit.

Maleka H.

Yelp
The staff here was very friendly, I also love that it was an all female staff. The space is small, clean, comfortable and inviting. I enjoyed everything I ordered. The KFC was so delicious, the beef taco was chefs kiss, the short rib melted in your mouth and the flavors were rich. For my first meal in Vancouver I say thank you for a great delicious welcome.

Grace J.

Yelp
Such good food, excellent service, great vibes. It was a while ago, so I've forgotten what we ordered. Highly recommend overall, except it might be difficult to find parking, typical for that area

Eve E.

Yelp
Small cute restaurant Robson street. Clean and fast service. Very filling lunch, enough for 3

Karmella P.

Yelp
Omg the galbijim and the pork belly were BOMB!!! I've never had pork belly that thick and cooked to perfection. The radish and onions on the side were on point and the ssamjang tasted so good. I wish we have a Damso here in Washington

Guy W.

Yelp
By far the best Korean food I have every had! We got the Korean Fried Chicken and Mushroom Stew, and I COULD NOT STOP EATING! We got our food to-go, so can't speak to the dine in experience, but I'm sure it is great if it's anything like their food! 10/10, will be going back!

David D.

Yelp
We were looking forward to enjoying a takeout order, but the pickup time we wanted was not available. I've never seen that at a restaurant.

Justin W.

Yelp
There aren't many AYCE places in Vancouver but Damso is fantastic! The pork belly is thick and fatty and crispy as well! Super small restaurant so make sure you go on days that isn't too busy or you will be waiting for a bit!

Erin F.

Yelp
Great first time experience- we'll be back. thank you for a delicious lunch! Service was great & food had incred flavours!

Christi K.

Yelp
Went around 6 PM on Friday and got seated right away. I would recommend the kalbijjim as it was delicious and the meat fell right off the bones. However, it was quite pricey for what it was and the portion size -- it's for about one person. We also got the sweet and spicy chicken wings, and it was just too much sauce and not integrated with the chicken wing. The service was good though. However, the food was just not good or too expensive. Overall, I wouldn't go back.

Emily C.

Yelp
Came here for the all-you-can-eat pork belly during lunch. The service was great and absolutely worth the price. The AYCE for lunch comes with unlimited lettuce, soup, rice, and of course, pork belly! The place is a bit cozy so there isn't a lot of space, but would definitely be back.

Harsha S.

Yelp
They don't do reservations but my table for 2 was able to get in on a Thursday just before 7pm. The food came very fast, hot and was prepared very well. KFC chicken wings in soy garlic sauce were soooo good. Perfect balance of sweet to salty without being overly sweet. Loved that there was a generous amount of sauce at the bottom to pour over our chicken. Gamjatang was amazing. Broth is slightly thicker than some other Korean soups, and is a bit starchy and meaty from the potato and pork bones. The amount of large bones was generous and is perfect for people who love picking meat off the bone. Not much work is needed since it is cooked to be so tender. (Looks a bit dry in the pic only because we were working on other dishes and didn't get to the soup for a while) Pork belly was also quite generous, very thick cut with good amount of meat and nice ratio of meat to fat. Very nicely seasoned. Service was very friendly and attentive. My only complaint is that the table is extremely small for 2, even for small people. It is difficult to eat comfortably and move your cups, chopsticks etc around because it feels like you will knock something off the table. We had to stack a lot of our things because there is literally not enough room to put everything they give you on the table. Next time I'll go with 3+ people to get more table space

Joyce N.

Yelp
Best seafood bibimbap! Food portions are for 2-3 people, really. The place is not that big so if you're planning to go, make a reservation. Our group got a table immediately as it was after the dinner rush. If you want an intimate place for dining, this place is highly recommended!

Sergio S.

Yelp
The Korean Tacos are legit! Staff is very friendly and food taste very fresh. Definitely stop if you're in the neighborhood. -A Mexican in Vancouver

Gabriel C.

Yelp
I used to often go to Damso for lunch with my friends but the food quality went down around beginning of 2019 so we decided to explore other options. Damso used to have my go-to Gamjatang, but it wasn't very good the last 2 times I had ordered it. One day, a friend suggested to go to Damso for dinner as we had never tried their dinner menu before. Surprisingly, we enjoyed everything and would definitely be back for their Korean fried chicken! I think I would give their lunch 3.5 stars while their dinner would be about 4 stars, so I'm rounding up the total to 4.

Fallon F.

Yelp
This place was so good!! It's really small so id expect a wait if you go at a busy time. The food was amazing. Probably some of the best fried chicken I've ever had and the bulgogi was delicious. 10/10 would come again.

Shelby I.

Yelp
Looking for delicious Korean food?!? This place is soooo legit!!! Bring your appetite cause the portions are HUGE!! We had just got into Vancouver from Seattle and we were on the hunt for a place open late since it was already past 10:30pm! This place was just under a mile away from our hotel! We headed over and we're seated right away! We looked at the menu and literally couldn't decide on what we wanted! Everything looked sooo good! We decided on getting the following items: 1. Crispy Pork Belly: these were THICK slices that were grilled till crispy on the outside. They were served with lettuce wraps, daikon, onions, and spicy dipping sauce. It's definitely a must get! 2. 48-Hour Korean Style Shortrib: this literally fell off the bone!!! We saw a sous vide machine with bags of meat in it and wondered if that's how it's cooked for 48 hours! It looked and tasted delicious!! The shortrib was in a spicy broth with all kinds of goodies: potato, rice cake, mushrooms, onions, mmm... it was a bit too spicy for me personally but when I paired it with the lettuce and daikon it really cut the spice and went really well together! 3. Korean Fried Chicken: this was my FAV thing we ordered! It was a HUGE mountain of chicken with at least 15 pieces of boneless chicken. The outside was super crispy and was a bit sweet, almost like karaage chicken. I probably ate 5 pieces of this! It was that good! 4. Hot Stone Bibimbop: this was the rice I needed to cut through all the fat and spiciness and added some veggies to the meal. (Lol!) It pretty much was fried rice that you mix up! It had beef, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and fried egg on top! The flavor from the beef was very satisfying! 5. Grape Soju: this was surprisingly sweet! My boyfriend and brother moved it! They drank one whole bottle! I tried it and it went down pretty smooth. The grape flavor wasn't super artificial tasting. Overall, for the 3 of us, this was wayyyyy too much food!! We had leftovers to enjoy the next day! :) Overall, this was an amazing first meal in Vancouver! I highly recommend checking this place out!

Jessica H.

Yelp
Damso, wow. You completely blew away our expectations for Korean Food. One stellar highlight were the Korean Tacos. One of my friends was orgasming when he ate it (not literally). We also ordered the Yogurt Soju, Korean Fried Chicken, Spicy Tofu Soup, 48 hour Braised Beef, and Topokki. I personally really enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken and Spicy Tofu Soup. There was no spice level customization for any dishes so the Topokki was too spicy for us but everything overall was really really good. The Korean Fried Chicken was different from other restaurants in that it was less crispy but still so amazing. Service was very attentive and quick, but the restaurant is small so you may have to wait outside prior. For parties over 5, it may take a while because they need to prepare bigger tables. If I lived around here, I would definitely come back.

Cheryl T.

Yelp
Excellent place for AYCE pork belly, in addition it is served with rice, sauces & lettuce to wrap the pork belly. Unlimited yummy bean paste soup with a generous portion of thinly sliced beef belly with zucchini, mushrooms & cubed pieces of tofu... so yummy! The pork belly is succulent, I believe they boiled it till tender & use a blow torch to sear the top of the meat to make it crispy then seasoned it with salt & pepper. There are other choices of AYCE for fried chicken, pork belly & beef belly. Service is prompt, friendly & check on you for any refill that you need. We always have a fantastic meal when we are there. Place is small, if it is crowded, be prepare to wait. Parking is on the street on Denman.

Lu W.

Yelp
One of the best Korean Restaurants in town! The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. The staff were very nice and friendly! We ordered their signature 48hr slow cook short ribs, Pork Belly Korean BBQ,Spicy Tofu Soup and Chestnut Makguli~I love the juicy ribs and the pork belly was paired with fresh lettuces that took away the oily feeling of the pork. It was our first time trying Makguli in an unique chestnut flavour: nutty and delicious, which balanced well with the food

Stuart C.

Yelp
Great service, staff and food. Clean and Sanitized tables and overall a small restaurant but well worth the wait. This is now one of our favorite locations to eat and always busy. The Korean Fried Chicken and Pork Belly are the best. Miso soup is terrific.

Cassie M.

Yelp
Yummy... this was our first ever meal in Canada and I'm glad it was at Damso. It's a small, cute, and cozy restaurant and although the tables were full when we arrived, we were sat within about 10 minutes. My boyfriend and I did the AYCE chicken wings and also an order of spicy tofu soup w/ seafood. For the chicken wings, they have 3 flavors: Sweet & Spicy, Salt & Pepper, and Soy Garlic. All of them were really good and flavorful! The spicy tofu soup was also delicious. I imagine it would be the perfect thing to eat on a cold day. I didn't get our servers name but she was so sweet, gracious, and kind and had good recommendations regarding how many wings we should order at a time. (There is a $1.50 charge for each unfinished wing). If you like Korean food, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

Justin L.

Yelp
Coming here made me realize how spoiled I am with Korean food. The food is mediocre, at best. $29.99 for AYCE pork belly is kind of a joke. On the plus side, service is great.

Andrew W.

Yelp
THE BEST KFC I have ever had!! Sooo tender and crispy but not heavy and with a fantastic chicken to batter ratio. The galbi jjim was excellent too, and we appreciated that it was served in a portion size fit for 2 people in addition to the mega size that's the only option at places like Daeho in SF or Sun Nong Dan in LA. The AYCE pork belly and beef belly seemed like a great deal too, saw a table of 4 dudes next to us happily chowing down. I'd say I want to try it, but then I can't see myself coming here again and NOT ordering the KFC.

Denise W.

Yelp
First time having Damso and I have to say their chicken is really awesome. It's boneless and the skin is crunchy after couple hours later. Great flavor. Chicken was moist inside. Amazed. Definitely beat its competitor in the neighborhood. Great location. Very convenient and best of all they open late. Interestingly, if you have it to go or take home left over they serve it in a Chinese takeout box.

Ania D.

Yelp
Love love love the 48-hour Korean short ribs. It has so much flavour; sweet, spicy and savoury, which is probably partly due to the mushrooms and onions that come in it. I'm weak as heck when it comes to spicy food though so I ask for mine half-spicy (and it still makes me cry a little). It also has Korean rice cakes in it which I love the texture of. The Korean fried chicken is also yummy! I wasn't the biggest fan of the pork belly due to its rather bland taste. I also enjoy the pickled radish (?) cubes that come with the meal. This place is great for people who enjoy sweet, spicy and savoury.

I R O R O O.

Yelp
Dam Soooooo good! That's it nothing left to say, the best Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) of my life. Their gochujang sweet sauce defies words to describe how impeccably well it pairs w the chicken! Okay now for the 48-hour slow cooked short ribs!! Honestly in this Pacific Northwest cool & rainy climate this warm, spicy earthy comfort food could not be more perfect. It's a different kind of perfection from the KFC but perfection nonetheless. How do I score a teeshirt! 5 stars I'll be back. Dam soooooo good!

Amy L.

Yelp
Wow~ the fried chicken is delicious! Came here for dinner on Christmas day since nothing much is open. There was a short wait line where you sign your name and they call you when a table is ready. I ordered bibimbap with tofu along with a Korean fried chicken to share. Bibimbap tasted hot and alright (nothing special). The chicken smelled so good and was hot and crispy with each bite. I read on yelp that the fried chicken portion is huge (it really is)! We had to pack our chicken to go since we couldn't finish it lol. Overall, the staff was friendly, the interior was small, but I would recommend coming here if anyone is craving Korean food!

Guerric H.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times now, and I can say that everything I've had has been great! The food may seem a little pricey, but the portion sizes are absolutely huge, so you're definitely getting a lot for your money. I've never had such a large serving of fried chicken anywhere else, and it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and everything else you could ask for from KFC. The soups in hot stone bowls are fun and tasty, the meat with lettuce wraps is plentiful and nicely seasoned - everything is good! And they have all-you-can-eat pork belly, which is kind of astounding. I haven't been brave enough to try that yet, but I think that's the next thing I want to do here. Service is friendly enough, and the mood of the place is nice - it has a bit of a casual late-night feel to it, which I enjoyed. The only thing I would complain about is that the seating is limited - given the huge portions, this would be a great place to come with a group of friends to split a few dishes, but that's a bit difficult with the whole place being devoted to narrow 2-person tables. But that's really minor - the food is the star here, and it's well worth going to and trying out.

Sebastian T.

Yelp
I came here close to 11pm on a Saturday night and they were still packed! The space is small so be weary if you have a big party/coming in during busy hours. I will add that the service is super warm and friendly, along with the restaurant making really good use of the limited space. In regards to the food, I had some of the best Korean fried chicken of my life, hands down without any doubts. The chicken was coated with a very light but crispy breading, which was not oily at all. (I need to figure out how they achieved this level of black magic). You can even tell that parts of the chicken was pounded thinner/tenderized so itd cook evenly, resulting in perfectly moist and tender chicken throughout. I also tried the tteok bokki and it was spot on - served in a stone bowl and coming out sizzling! This spot even offers all you can eat wings for $15 (requires a drink purchase) for 90 mins! I didn't opt for this as I wasn't in a stomach stretching mood, but I'd definitely come back and indulge in this at some point! I highly recommend checking this spot out and I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the offerings on the menu!

Sherry L.

Yelp
I don't know about the other food they serve here, but the AYCE wings is awesome! Come around 8:45pm to wait in line and get in after 9pm for the AYCE wings. They come in 3 flavors: salt/pepper, sweet, or spicy. The wings are on the small side, so you can definitely try out the flavors first and then order more of the flavor(s) you like. Turnaround is variable because they make them in batches. So sometimes you get your wings immediately, other times you have to wait a little longer.

Derek P.

Yelp
AYCE: 3.5/5 For reference 3.5 is higher than average when it comes to my AYCE scale. I've fallen in and out of love with AYCE throughout my dining adventures in Vancouver. Damso pulls it off by offering AYCE of pork belly and/or beef belly, as well as fried chicken wings during later hours. What? AYCE pork belly? But won't you feel sick of it by the time you're done? Well yes, but Damso does a good job of accompanying their thick delectable slices of pork belly with onions, lettuce, rice and their signature gamjatang so that the meal feels considerably more balanced although I still walked out of there feeling like a stuffed pig -- or stuffed with pig. Value-for-money-wise the AYCE menu is outstanding but having now visited once and have a better understanding of the menu I will be sure to try their regular menu items next time as those tacos look delicious. This is a small restaurant in the heart of West End so you can expect long waits especially for a group larger than four, which we were. We had paid for parking just outside the restaurant and watching the parking meter count slowly downwards while waiting for the server to call my name was especially painful. Come earlier rather than later and consider limiting your group to four.

Katie C.

Yelp
24 hour gamjatang ($17) was good, not great. Maybe the pork bones were in there for 24 hours but everything else wasn't, especially the potatoes because they didn't soak up any of the flavour. Lots of meat. Mushrooms instead of bean sprouts, too bad. The waitress said it wasn't spicy and it definitely was. The fried chicken ($22) seemed to be popular and it was tasty! It looks really dark and overfried, but the seasoning is good and the meat is juicy inside. Really addicting and it comes in a huge bowl. Comes with the spicy sauce and radish, but other than that, no side dishes sadly. Street parking nearby but it's Denman, be prepared to pay $5/hr in the evening.

Clyde Z.

Yelp
Was visiting Vancouver for 2 days and stumbled upon this great find. Highly recommend the all you can eat pork belly that comes with a unlimited pork belly, spicy miso tofu soup, rice, lettuce and pickled radish. Store had very limited seating as it is quite small, however this made the service amazing. Pork belly was well cooked and very thick. Highly recommend.

P K.

Yelp
Din at this tiny restaurant because the one next to it was closed. I enjoyed very much the pork rib miso tang very much! The broth was delicious and rich creamy miso taste! Their all you can eat pork belly $29.99 was so eye catching!

Edward A.

Yelp
Go for the Gamjatang (pork back soup) and Kalbijjim - best dishes they IMO We like the lunch time since it's less busy but still serve the same food!!

Echo Z.

Yelp
Very Bad experience for their customer service. Ordered online and self picked up, when I arrived home and found out they missed half of the dishes. Called back to the restaurant they only said sorry, and asked me to go back n pick up again. Seriously??? I spent half an hour went there picked up my half dishes, came back home, then I would spent another 1 hour to go picked the rest n come back again????? And only Because Cause Of THEIR MISTAKE. :) What a nice dinner. Thank you :)

Herb L.

Yelp
Modern Korean = no side dishes. Bit high for what you get. I also loved the smart, "Reserved" sign on the tables as a trick to making you think it's actually reserved. We were there for over an hour and no one came. Actually, as soon as we sat, wait staff removed one of the sign and opened another table. Cool trick!! Food - well. As Korean traveling all over trying Korean food, I was excited to see what this modern Korean food was all about. Conclusion - no side dishes. In general, it's nothing special. Okay food. The spicy noodle dish interpretation was interesting. It's normally Korean street food and hard to find. It was actually GOOD. That said higher than normal cost, okay service, I'm only giving 3

Luke Y.

Yelp
Price/quality (3/4): Good quality at an affordable price. Their stews are generally pretty good, though they could use a bit more flavour sometimes. The spice level is often a little lacking, though I suspect that this may have something to do with local tastes. Service (1/1): Service was friendly and efficient. Would I come here again: Yes

Kevin Y.

Yelp
Ordered pork belly, ttokboki and seaweed roll. Food was super hot and fresh even though i got it thru delivery. 300% recommended

Dongski I.

Yelp
Like this place ..good food good service. Everytime go to this place feel like I'm in Korea

Heather M.

Yelp
Pork belly lettuce wraps are very smoky and strong smelling if you cook it at home but sometimes we get that craving. Last night we were craving it! Unfortunately they didn't have the fresh garlic slices again but sometimes they do. You wrap the pork belly up with marinated onions, some rice if you want, jalapeños, and gochujang. Damso has two locations downtown, one's on Bute and Robson. We went to the one in English Bay. We also ordered the 24-hour Gamjatang which is a traditional spicy pork bone soup that cooks the meat with bone for 24 hours so the flavour is rich and the meat falls off the bone. Koreans like to take a half spoonful of white rice and dip it into the soup before eating it. I add most of my bowl of rice directly into my soup bowl before eating it!

Jules W.

Yelp
So Dam...so...delicious You should come here if you have a serious Korean food craving. Great lunches and the spices are on point! Portions are quite sizable as well. There is no shame in expecting Korean fried chicken to be stacked up like a mountain and fear not... you will get the mountain. However, I would not bring a huge group of people here, expect a wait and the restaurant is tiny enough that you will overhear the entire conversation of the tables next to you.

Yelp
Amazingly delicious Korean cuisine at a tiny place with limited seating. Waited a short bit to get a table, but well worth the trouble. The taco has the perfect levels of spicy and sweet and were by far the best thing we had. The pork belly took a little work to construct, but ended up being rewardingly delicious lettuce wraps. This place is a definitely can't miss.

Yelp
Visited Damso on Denman around 9:00 PM for the AYCE wings for $12.99. There were some other conditions to this deal: you had to order a beverage (alcohol or non-alcohol), a 15% gratuity automatically added to the bill, and they would charge you $1 for each leftover wing. Seeing some mixed reviews on the Internet, we wanted to see for ourselves. As soon as we walked in, the server turned to acknowledge us. We were quickly brought to our table and were given water and the menu. There was only one server managing the front at the time but he did not neglect any table. Three flavours on the menu: salt and pepper, soy garlic and sweet spicy. We ordered 15 salt and pepper, 15 spicy, and 30 soy garlic to share between the three of us. For drinks, we had lychee soda ($2.50), and yuja lemonade ($3.50). The lychee soda was a can of president's choice lychee flavoured soda, nothing special. The yuja lemonade came in a pabst blue ribbon mason jar. I think they mixed those korean citron tea from a jar with lemon-lime soda. It was surprisingly refreshing. The wings took a while to come because they were made to order. We could tell because they were smoking (literally) hot when we took our first bite. Wings were deep fried and tossed in the sauces/salt and pepper. We thought the salt and pepper wings were a little too salty. We liked the soy garlic and spicy more but the former was our favourite. We expected the spicy ones to be spicier but they were more on the sweet side. Wings were a decent size, and were mostly drumsticks. The bill for myself came to be about $20 which I thought was fair. Service was good, we lucked out on having a better server that night. He had no attitude at all and didn't treat us differently because we didn't speak Korean. Maybe It's a hit or miss on the service. I will come back and try their regular menu for sure.
