For their East Coast flagship, cofounders Karla Gallardo and Shilpa Shah took everything they knew from years of hosting pop-ups and created a pale-pink minimalist space. Visitors have the option of using small blocks shaped like laptops, water bottles, and cell phones to get a sense of a bag’s weight and look when it’s full of their personal items. Just received the overnight bag after purchasing on black Friday. At first glance the bag is beautiful and looks well made, but if you take a closer look at the details of the stitching, I wonder how long it will last. There's a lot frayed stings and you can actually see through a hole in one corner of the bottom where it looks like stitching was missed all together. Also, I worry that the band that slips on to a carry on handle will stretch and misshapen pretty quickly as it arrived already stretched....while I was excited about try a few other items, I am second guessing the quality now. Too bad, as it is a beautiful looking bag.

I own the classic easy tote (2-3years old),the zippered easy tote and a couple of small accessories and love all of them! Learned about the brand from The Strategist, ordered them all on-line and I’ve never reached out to customer service before because I’ve never had any problems. I just wanted to share that, because the quality is outstanding. I’m in New York from Texas this week and popped into the store yesterday. It was so fun to see the bags in person to get a feel for size and color. The staff were friendly and helpful. I left with large Paloma in Ocean and I’m obsessed with it! Go check out the store and the brand, you won’t be disappointed.

After reading others reviews, I see my experience is not unique. I’ve purchased quite a few products from Cuyana and almost every item has a quality issue. The backpack doesn't hold up well, the straps are flaking. I barely use it because the straps are so thin. I would honestly compare their products quality to that of the american store “Family Dollar”. Thanks but no thanks.

I had been eyeing a gorgeous tote online for over six months, hesitant due to not being able to try the silhouette on and touch the soft leather in person. By complete chance, during a brief few hours in NYC I discovered the actual flagship store within a few blocks. I was able to try on the bag and knew it was an immediate yes. I am grateful to Andrea (i think?) for her wonderful service and for helping me locate the bag I had been fawning over!! I am a very happy camper with a gorgeous new Classic easy zipper tote. It was busy around 4pm on a Saturday.

The worst customer service ever, still struggling to get refund for returned product, they issued as gift card and refusing to refund. I don’t have any plans to buy any products as I’m sooo disappointed with the customer service!! And btw I also paid 8$ for restocking fees

Update 12/28/24: as my wife is a fan of the designs, I gave this company another shot. I received a blemished, used bag being passed off as new. Even walmart doesn't do that. I've tired to reach out to the company over and over for help and have heard nothing back. BBB and FTC escalations next. This company sucks. Avoid at all costs. OG review: Luxury level prices. Walmart level experience and product.

Poor quality bags. Although I love the idea of sustainability I can't just can't have a bag that last me less than 8 months weekend use only. And to add insult to injury, they have horrid costumer service. I had to deal with someone by the name of Hana H. - she lacks professionalism and is insulting - thanks to her I'll never buy or support this brand ever again.

I've bought mainly items from Cuyana but this review is about the toiletry bag. I bought the black leather one and the inside leather started pilling and getting all over my toiletries. After much back and forth with Cuyana they finally replaced it and it happened again. I also bought a cream colored one from a fundraiser and the same issue. Cuyana wouldn't replace it because they said I don't have proof of purchase. Obviously I didn't since it was an auction item at a fundraiser in SF. Their customer service is pretty horrific. I used to be a pretty loyal customer but I'm done with this brand.

After doing research for a work bag that would be comfortable, professional looking and good quality all indicators pointed out to Cuyana so I decided to go with my daughter who is the one who needed the bag. We were greeted by several employee's which were all pleasant and wound up working with Chanel. I must say that working with Chanel was a pleasure and a great example of someone who knows the products and provided options based on our needs. The quality of the leather is good and you can tell it is well made by the stitches they come with a two year warranty which was great. The bags are expensive think of it as an investment there are so many add-ons for the bag that you can continue to change the look. The bag my daughter and I both liked was the system tote fits a 16 inch Mac and has space for other things nice spacious bag. Well needless to say we walked out of there with two new bags, laptop sleeves for both bags. This review is for two reasons the great customer experience that I had with Chanel and the bags we bought were perfect for our needs. Thank you Chanel for going above and beyond to make this a pleasant experience. This is the bag we selected it looks even better in person. I will do an update in a few months and let you guys know how it working out pros/cons.

I have been very excited to come to the store as I live in Hawaii and shopping there is very challenging. I was very excited to see that there was a store front for Cuyana nearby while on a trip to New York. Unfortunately, my shopping experience at this location was extremely disappointing. I enter the store and about 3-4 ladies were working m. We walked in and the woman asked if we needed anything. I asked her what the largest size was they had in the store and she said extra-large. I asked her what number size that represent and she told me "I do not know". I paused for a second thinking she would go and look it up, but she just continue to stare at me. So in front of her I looked it up on the website to find that my size, a size 14, was their extra-large. I looked at her and said your extra large is a size 14 and she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I then brought her a pair of pants and asked if they had a size 14 at the store. She went to look and came back and said sorry we don't have that size in the store. She didn't offer me another option, didn't offer to check another store, she just walked away. I found the team there to be extremely unhelpful, especially as a woman who is a size 14 and sometimes struggles to find sizes that work for me. Generally, I would expect someone to make me feel even that even though they didn't have my size, there was another style pant there that she thought might look good on me. I ended up leaving the store with nothing when I had full intention of buying something while I was there. The workers there were generally unhelpful and honestly not very kind. They didn't even say goodbye when we left. I'm sure this isn't a brand thing and is just a store thing but I would recommend going to another store or just buying online.

I loved the beautiful sweaters I tried on here. The fitting room experience was private and handled well. I found the associates to be helpful without being clingy. I would return to try on other items, and would absolutely consider purchasing from Cuyana. As a guy that knows very little about fashion, I know my girlfriend knows quality. So when I heard this was a store she liked I checked them out. My experience with Cuyana customer service rep Mandy was above and beyond. When I called due to the website not processing orders (high traffic volume error) she was eager to make sure I had exactly what I needed. She confirmed, reaffirmed and made sure that I had exactly what my girlfriend would like. I am talking about multiple phone calls and a detailed email thread. I have never had such a positive experience, her customer service approach should be the exemplary model of good service. I will continue to purchase leather goods for all the ladies in my life from Cuyana if this is the caliber of Customer service I can expect. Thank you Mandy (I believe she is based out of their HQ in San Fransisco) I hope you get some recognition for your efforts in this holiday season. I know I appreciated all that you did to make this order work and out for Christmas day!

I have never purchased something from Cuyana's online store, but I have been eyeing their carryall tote for a while now. I finally decided to buy it, so yesterday I went into the store for the first time. I read the reviews before going in, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Multiple staff greeted me when I walked in. One of them (tall, blonde bob, very nice), got the medium bag out and the larger version out as well, so that I could compare them for a bit. They were all very attentive and asked multiple times if I needed anything or had any questions. Also, they have wooden blocks the size of most electronics, so I was able to see how my 13 inch macbook would fit inside. I ended up going with the medium carryall tote as the larger version is practically suitcase sized. It is a beautiful bag, I couldn't be happier with it. And they have clearly taken steps to address their customer service issues. All in all, a great experience.

I stopped here this afternoon to purchase a handbag I'd seen online. When I entered, an associate approached me and I told her what I was looking for. She showed me where the bag was and walked away to help another customer. All good so far. I checked the bag out for several minutes and decided to buy it, along with the optional organizer insert. By this time, the associate had finished with her other customer, who had left, but she didn't check back with me. I waited a minute to see if she would re-approach me but didn't, so I walked over to the counter where the second associate was helping another customer. That associate walked to the back room, presumable to do something for her customer, who had just left the store. I was left standing at the checkout counter with the original associate standing literally 3 feet from me, who was doing nothing but standing there. She didn't say a word as I stood waiting for nearly 5 minutes. There was nobody else on the entire sales floor beside myself and the first associate, yet she ignored me. So I took my invisible self with my invisible money and left. Shameful. ***UPDATE: The response from the owner is a B.S. ruse. I emailed her at the address she provided to see if she needed any more information regarding my experience and to open communication with her. NO RESPONSE from her in nearly a week (it's now 4/29). She could have made this right with me, but clearly, this owner doesn't care one single bit about her lousy staff at her shops or that a customer had a terrible experience. Avoid this place.

Gah this store is so awful but carries such wonderful products. Every time I come in here I regret it. The sales associates are inevitably frantically busy not helping me. You practically have to beg them for assistance. It's not even their fault. The store cash wrap is so poorly designed and they are so clearly not trained. They need more associates, better training, or a more organized checkout system. One person should be in charge of greeting, several associates should man the cash wrap, and others should circulate and help people. Also get rid of those dumb iPads. No one can type on them and they are always having issues. I would stick to ordering online unless you really need to try something on.

I called the number on the website and spoke to someone to confirm that they had the items I wanted in stock for a trip in a couple of days and were able to do monogramming. Then I went all the way to the prince store and it was CLOSED! I think the customer service people don't communicate with the stores. So annoying.

Bought a white shirt and realized that it had make up stains on it. I don't wear make up so it must have been just dirty from previous people trying it on. The salesperson should have gotten me a new one from the back but I guess they just can't be bothered.

I recently stopped in your store to check out the products in person. I was impressed by the store and most of the staff. There was a guy there, I guess someone who doesn't normally work in the store, who was a bit aggressive and very in your face. I felt pressured to try things on and purchase something. I'm not used to this type of shopping experience and I'm not sure if I will return. I will continue to purchase online.

I was a bit worried to come into shop here because I'd read other reviews about negative customer experience. Upon entering the store I will say I wasn't necessarily warmly greeted but I was able to find a SA right away. Once she realized I actually was going to buy something, she warmed up a bit and the transaction was fine. No matter how you feel about sales people interactions, I do think this is a good store to visit since Cuyana is mostly online it's nice to physically see and touch items in the store.

Love this store so much! Got one silk shirt with beautiful details and one silk scarf for my mom. Very fear price. TBH, I'm so glad to find this brand in NYC! Such a beautiful place. The staff is friendly and honest. The clothing style is quite similar to lots of big brands, but way cheaper. With great quality at same time! Not attractive by their bags, but I felt lots of office ladies would love them!

I am about to go on my annual vacation with my daughter so I was in desperate need of a new bag. I see on Instagram that Cuyana had exactly what I needed then I ventured out after work to the Prince St store. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude to the staff for the phenomenal customer service I received. Cuyana has been added to one of my favorite shopping experiences in NYC. I haven't been in to the store but online, this place is great. Twice I have ordered items and selected to have them monagrammed and they have still shipped the same day I have ordered. They are always very good quality products. Simple, beautiful, good quality products. I have my eye on many items but always use them for personalized gifts. I highly recommend.

After feeling like a packed sardine inside the Everlane store, I found some relief at Cuyana just across the street. The brick & mortar is so tranquil and tastefully merchandised, it felt like a personal shopping experience. The website just doesn't do the products justice; they look so simplistic and well-made in person and in all the prettiest color palettes. The main reason why I'm not giving it a higher score here is that absolutely nobody acknowledged my existence when I walked in or perused the store. There was one SA that was already helping a (really high maintenance seeming) customer, so I understand her attention was focused elsewhere, but the SA at the cash register in the middle of the store wasn't busy at all. I'm no entitled shopper or anything, but it kind of spoiled the tone a bit for me. Maybe it was an off day? I have my eye on a few items so I'd like to return and see how the second visit goes.

Went here only because I need to return a gift and had to return to use my credit. First time in I liked the associate helping me which helped alleviate the pain of dealing with folks that didn't seem to know their payment systems. Second time in, not so much. Both times were 30 minutes of sales associates scratching their heads with no apologies about how long it took. Trying to use my store credit was the more difficult part -- the tone of the associate was accusatory like I somehow had emailed myself 3 separate credits. She was probably trying to explain why she was taking so long to help me. She mentioned to another associate that came up to help her that accidentally charged someone else's credit by mistake. So, then I had two clueless associates trying to figure it out. As I said, no apologies which is what really irked me. Also, when I arrived to get some help, I asked for the online name of the item "a throw" but she had no idea what I was talking about. I had to pull up the website and actually show her. She said it was a scarf not a throw. It's not my job to argue with her but I must say that when I got home, it was definitely the size of the throw. I wouldn't shop here again.

Came in to ask questions about a backpack I have from the brand. and noticed how humid it is inside the store. It's hotter in the store from what it is outside. They do have this big fan which I personally feels like looks a bit tacky for the store and the fan is extremely loud. The staff is very nice and they apologized for the warmth which isn't their fault. I feel a lil bad for them having to be there all day.

Product is very nice and good quality! However, I was only in the store for about 5 mins, and started sweating so I had to leave because it's so HOT! I'm not sure how the workers are surviving that all day but I feel bad for them. They have these fans but that's not going to work for the heat in that store.
