A wide selection of clothing of great quality. There is something for everyone in this shop! As a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., plenty of Divine 9 merch available! The owner is very welcoming to all who come through the front door. I had a great experience in the shop while visiting Oak Bluffs for the first ;(hopefully not the last) time in July! I’m all about supporting Black-owned businesses and I wish the shop had a website so I can keep supporting them from afar.

Roger(from what I know, the only black owner on the island) the owner is so informative, professional, and friendly. I visit here every time I come to the island. I love the selection of stickers. He has put quality products in his store. The hoodies and sweatshirts I purchased has the best and soft material inside and the quality print on the outside. The hoodies are my family’s go to wherever we go. Roger also makes his own t-shirts for his store. He has some great ones in there. So many educational books and quality products. I absolutely love, love, love, love, this store.

I purchased two jackets at the start of August. Because the jackets were not available at the time, the owner instructed me to purchase the items? Leave my phone number and shipping address. It has been over a month. I have not received my items, nor has anyone answered the phone ever when I called several times.

First time in my new Tshirt back home in St. Pete FL and got 3 comments. Thank you Roger, for the cool chat, atmosphere, and MVY swag. Can't wait to return.

My daughter and I walked up and down the Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs searching for the perfect gift for her sisters. As luck would have it, we went inside of “c’est la vie”. Not only were the items that we purchased made of quality but they were also very on trend. The store owner as well as his employees were so helpful. I can honestly say this is one of the better shopping experiences I’ve had on Martha’s Vineyard.

My friends and I were showed the best store on the Island! Thanks Floyd! The shop is lovely and has anything you want. My daughter just pledged Delta and I bought her a cute shirt. In fact, all my family had something from the store! Wonderful owner and daughter! Glad to see a man of color on the Island doing well!

Roger was very patient, personable and knowledgeable about the Oak Bluffs culture. The Greek paraphernalia selections were outstanding and the jewelry was so unique that I bought a beautiful pair of earrings that caused me to get my ears pierced at age 59. Can't wait for my ears to heal so that I can showcase the earrings on Facebook!!! Thank you for a memorable first visit to the island.

I've been coming here for years ever since I first started visiting Martha's Vineyard and the hospitality of the owners in such a hectic environment is beyond commendable. It's been a pleasure to watch the kids grow up in the business. The only thing I do kindly request is that they have more options to choose from when it comes to Delta para in the back. #MemberOfDeltaSigmaThetaSorority.

This place has things you will only find in this store not the cookie cutter things that are in every tourist shop. Make this one of your first stop so you can make sure you get what you want.

Outstanding small business! It stands out from the other stores on the strip and the vibe is GREAT! As previous Yelpers have said, the owner and his wife are super friendly! Love, love, love this place! Clothing, t shirts, trinkets, magnets, books... I scored a great ball cap and magnet, to take home as a remembrance of my trip. I will surely return, each and every time I am on the island!!

This will be our 8th trip to the island and we never miss stopping by C'est LA Vie. Feels like home and I love the owner. See you soon

This place is a hidden gym in America. Black owned and operated business. Beautiful gifts to take with you when you leave Martha's Vineyard. They also make their own T-shirts. You have to stop in and check it out. There is something for everyone!

My first time being in Oak's Bluff, Martha's Vineyard, Circuit Ave and I stopped by C'est La Vie. The owners are friendly and very helpful. They carry a wide variety of apparel and accessories that are unique (especially Greek Para). I highly recommend all visitors to stop by this boutique. You will walk out with 2 shopping bags...!

I go to Martha's Vineyard once a year and I always make sure to stop in at C'est La Vie, even if I'm not going to buy anything. My trip is not complete unless I go in and take a look around. The owner is very nice and helpful and the store has a great selection of clothing, gifts, jewelry and accessories. One year, I bought a pair of earrings there for about $8, but I ended up losing one during the winter. When my mom went to the Vineyard with friends the next summer, she brought the other earring with her, showed it to the owner, and asked if it could be replaced. He couldn't find any in the store display that day and was too busy to go looking, but he must have looked around or called around when he had some free time. The next day, he got in touch with my mom and said he found the same pair and would hold them for her to pick up. I will never know how he found the earrings, but I am grateful that he took the time to take care of his customers.

C'est La Vie is an excellent specialty shop on Circuit Ave. EXCELLENT for sorority and fraternity /greek paraphernalia. Roger is so nice and so busy, but he takes his time with each customer and knows locals and repeat vacationers. A must visit, when on the Vineyard.

Wonderful and unusual gift items to take back home! Found these great "Inkwell" postcards that I had planned on mailing to family members.....may have to keep them for myself. The shop owner was welcoming and the customer service was on point!

Quaint little gift shop with an honest and friendly owner. Found everything we needed to bring back for friends at a reasonable price. We even asked for something we didn't see and he ran to the back and found it for us!

Man, do I love this shop. It's right on the main drag in Oak Bluffs and rocks some of the most unique items you are going to find. My last purchase was a pair of silver barbell earrings (wearing them in my profile pic) that were reasonably priced at about $35 and get me compliments on how pretty and unusual they are. The great jewelry is only a small part of the store, though. Unlike the usual Black Dog/ tourist-bait saturated gift shops (how many lobster lollipops and 'life's a beach' shot glasses does anyone actually need?) this place carries a lot of African-American themed Island garb. Inkwell t-shirts, Sisters on the Bluff hats, Soul of the Vineyard sweatshirts, etc. are alongside cookbooks, magnets, dolls, and loads of other goodies to take home to those you left on the mainland.

This shop has great customer service and has unique items that you will not find in other shops in the area. Should be on your list to find souvenirs that your friends and relatives will love (along with yourself)!

This is a great gift shop on Oak Bluffs! The owner, Roger, greets every customer as they enter and he's so personable. This is the perfect place to go if you want nice Oak Bluffs or Inkwell gear - the other shops offer generic gear. His prices are reasonable.
