One order of meatless nachos and one breakfast burrito: "That's $29.90." What the heck dude? You're not even a sit down restaurant and you're charging that? The $15 bkfast burrito had stale bacon and a dry tortilla. OK, ok, it tasted fine and was sizable. You can't really screw up a bkfast burrito. As for the $12 nachos? Man, why are you jamming it all into a burrito container a la Taco Bell? Half of the chips were busted up and the guac was a little brown. I went there around 7:30pm and it just seemed like all of the ingredients in everything I ate were sitting out in the open since 11am.

I have had this place many times over the years and it’s normally good but had an awful takeout order last night. There was a string in my shrimp burrito. Also, the size of the xtra large guacamole is absurd. It is offensively small for $7.

Small open-air restaurant with plenty of seating. Their burrito wad delicious, and their mama's salsa and habanero salsa added the right kick to my liking. I washed this down with a bottled mexican coca cola and baam, instant bliss. Stop by if you are in the area.

Definitely not enough for an entire burrito. You need 2 min. Whenever we order delivery, no matter what we say or do, we often get less than 1 sauce for each burrito. We put it in the notes. We order and pay for extra that never comes. We’ve called after placing the delivery order and asked them to make sure we get 2 for each burrito. Nothing works. So we’ve been doing pick up now so we can get the 2 ramekins required for each burrito. On to the burrito itself: If you don’t ask, the don’t thoroughly mix the filling. You end up with egg on one end, potato in the middle, and a clump of bacon and a small glob of beans in the last few bites. So we always include that in our instruction and again it’s 50/50 that it’ll happen. All the ingredients are super tasty (why we keep coming back + that sauce) but in a burrito all the fillings should be evenly distributed throughout so each bite is varied and delicious. The worst part is half the time the burrito is poorly wrapped and doesn’t hold together. The whole allure of a burrito is being it being a hand held pocket of yum. The attached pics are of my latest burrito. There’s a huge gash on one side and the other shows that all the ends are just mushed together and not expertly wrapped. I had to eat it on a plate with a fork and knife because everything just fell out. I keep going because it’s close and when it’s good, it’s really good.

lately my bacon breakfast burritos have had cold pieces in it, more than likely the potato…no biggie i just can’t stand the attitude/demeanor 2/3 cashiers (all girls) been having. like it’s not my fault ur here early. walking to the register like its a chore, looking at the screen to see if i tip, idk it’s always been a bit stank w them working the front. the dude that’s helped is nice and good to see whenever he’s there. they should be happy they’re working in a crazy economy like this, don’t even have to be super happy but crazy how only one person feel welcoming whether i tip them or not -

Great local open air Mexicali burritos, I live around the corner so quite regularly I'll stop in for an early breakfast burrito or a post work chili-verde pork or chicken tinga burrito and all in solid eatery. The staff always seem friendly and keep the place clean, when it could easily get messy quick. My only gripe food wise I wish the hash browns for breakfast were crispier and ingredients a little more spread (you tend to hit "ingredient pockets"). Can get a bit noisy and definitely hot in the summer but it makes the cold agua fresca that much better. Hint go for the churros they're 2 for $5 (or I think like 1 for $4 so no brainer), they'll let you mix the 3 flavors, and they're always hot and fresh. Edit: Oh and go for the roasted habanero salsa, it comes in these small cups for a damn good reason, your taste buds will thank you butt other parts might not.

Delicious flavors from a very modern taco stand. I was a "weekly regular" at their OLD Venice location which had a fantastic vibe. THIS has that TASTE bit in a casual location. It still feels like "home" -- They serve chapulines, Aguas frescas; tortas; pastor... Que viva Mexico! And for the gringos - salmon tacos (grilled); Baja tacos, burritos, etc. Parking is in the structure behind them on Cardiff. Free for an hour.

Ordered the bacon breakfast burrito about 17$ for a relatively small portion. The taste was a little dry and tortilla was kind of flaky. Not sure if this was just an off day also no restrooms here Service was friendly

We've come here a good amount in the last few years because my kids like the cheese/chicken quesadillas and fried plantains. Service is nice too. The torta isn't bad but I really don't like any of their tacos. Their meat is either way over seasoned (the barbacao and chicken tinga) or super dry (carnitas). You'll need to drink a ton of water either way. It's been awhile since I've had the ceviche but I recall it wasn't bad so would recommend that over the tacos. Seating isn't abundant and eating here feels like you're dining on Venice Blvd with the cars, but there's usually not a big crowd. And usually street parking is ample, plus there's the parking lot down the street (1 hour free). Pricing is pretty high though. For a family of 4, we have to spend $75-$85 for a decent sized meal here. $20 per person has become the unfortunate standard for Culver downtown these days, which is just not sustainable for most folks.

What a cute little Mexican spot in downtown Culver! My friend and I came here for lunch and it was the best experience. You order in the front and take a seat wherever you find a table, which is all outdoors. It's located right behind the main strip of downtown Culver, so it's a bit more quiet where it's located, which was great. I ordered their baja fish, carne asada, and barbacoa tacos (not pictured). My favorite was the baja fish tacos, it was the perfect amount of crispy and tender fish. The carne asada was good too, their meat portion was substantial. My least favorite was the barbacoa taco, it was really saucy and I was full by the time I got to my third taco, so I couldn't finish the barbacoa taco. My friend and I shared the mexi queso chips, which was good! The chips are homemade and super crunchy. I wish the cheese melted a bit more but overall, still a really nice side snack. The service was great and super friendly. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

4++ Fun little neighborhood spot that came up on my radar because of their breakfast burritos. I think they do lunch/dinner as well, but I specifically came for their breakfast burritos. This place is actually pretty close to me in the Palms/ Culver area along the busy street - Venice Blvd. Not sure why I haven't been here since it's so close. They also have tortillas for sale too. Very intriguing. Will have to come back for those. The place seemed a little small, as it was essentially a walk up ordering counter. There's some limited seating out front. I ended up ordering the combo, which included the breakfast burrito (I got bacon) and a coffee. The coffee was really good and the breakfast burrito was great! For the coffee, I just like a little cream/ half & half and it had a great, smooth flavor. The burrito had great texture - the bacon is cooked to be on the more crispy side - and great flavors. The potatoes also added to the texture and the flavors all melded together really well. Especially with a little of the included salsa. Overall, a really great spot to get your breakfast burrito fix. Parking was fairly easy to find along the street.

I really liked this spot! I got a vegetarian burrito which by default comes with chips (true for all burritos) and guacamole. It was a super filling and happy-making meal. The guac was a great addition. There were ample chips on the side so I didn't feel a need to order more. And, I was surprised that their spicy salsa was actually spicy. I had to pace myself which I normally don't need to do lol. Service was fast. I like their outdoor seating venue; on a warm evening it's great ambiance.

Best breakfast burrito in the area!! Seriously so good, do yourself a favor and give it a try! Low key, unassuming spot in Culver City - it's such a hidden gem. Walk up to the counter to order (or call ahead if it's a busy time of day). The breakfast burritos are fantastic (try the chicken tinga!) Hearty portions, stuffed with eggs, potatoes, beans and meat of your choice. Get extra salsa and crema! I've gone for lunch as well, the bowls and tacos are also really good, but breakfast is the star for me. There's a handful of tables outside, but it does get full at meal times. Everyone who works there is super nice! They also have a loyalty program (I think it's linked to your phone or email) so you can get money off a future purchase. Parking is standard Culver City. Street parking (meters) out front if you're lucky, or one of the lots around town.

Stopped here with a friend for lunch around 1pm on a weekday. I got a chicken tinga bowl with egg and avo added. The meat had great flavor but there was a lot of rice for the price. My friend got tamales and said they were okay. I also got a hibiscus agua fresca which was very tasty. There is a decent amount of parking in and around the area and umbrellas for shade. Most people seemed to pick up for to go orders. I would stop here again to try their tacos!

I've come here a few times for breakfast/brunch, and it always hits the spot! There are so many good breakfast places in the area, but Cerveteca has one of the best breakfast burritos (in my opinion). I always get mine with bacon and no beans. I've never had an issue with my order coming out wrong (knock on wood). The bacon bits are always super crispy, which adds a great crunch throughout the burrito. The portion size is geIt also comes with a delicious salsa (along with standard salsas). The salsa really adds a great flavor, and it's one of the reasons I think Cerveteca stands out for me. I will say that the coffee is a skip, although if you're not super picky about your coffee, the price is awesome (especially if you order it with your burrito). The place itself is fairly small, but I've always taken my food to-go and enjoyed it at home. I usually call ahead to place my order, but even if you order there, the service is prompt, and the staff is always friendly. Would highly recommend this place if anyone is searching for a delicious breakfast burrito!

This is hands down one of my favorite breakfast burritos places! There's limited outdoor seating but most people order to go. Make sure to get the green hot sauce if you like spicy!

Such a hidden gem! Wish I knew about this place earlier. We got their delicious breakfast burritos and absolutely loved them. The burritos are filled, toasted, and come with delicious sauces. Service was great as the women helped us decide and even gave us extra salsas when we couldn't decide which to get.

We ordered the house chorizo burrito with no beans (not my thing) and mama's guacamole. Amazing. The bottom of the fajita wrap had a fun crisp. The chorizo had a good level of heat. And the tater tots mashed into the burrito were on point. Music was perfect for this gen x-er. And was amazed at how the outdoor seating right next to Venice Blvd wasn't too loud with traffic noise or soot. (Service was pretty excellent too).

Almost made a second trip to Cava this week then realized this was on my list and hadn't been yet and it didn't disappoint! I came in knowing what i wanted from a friends recommendation but the service was fast and prompt. Only 3-4 people ahead of us but it went quickly I had the salmon taco(extra crispy skin) and it was definitely crispy and a Baja fish taco with a side of rice. I was going back and forth between the two so much i lost track of which was which but both were amazing lol The Chicken tinga torta was my friends and i had a half. The sandwich was really good and came with chips. The sauce on the side was . Melted cheese with bell pepper was $2 and was a pretty small side is maybe the only complaint Horchata was really good and authentic. Another plus if you know this area is they had their own parking lot that you didn't have to pay for. I don't eat tacos a ton but I'll definitely be coming back since now i know it lives up to the hype

I have been going to Cerveteca for years and it is one of the best breakfast burritos in Los Angeles. A local initially recommended the place and told me her favorite order, which is the bacon breakfast burrito with extra crispy hash-browns. Needless to say I have ordered this item many, many times. The burrito comes with a tasty semi spicy sauce that I love. Also they do not cheat you on the portion size as it's always generous. This place moved orders quickly and there is always a place to sit. If you do not find street parking, there there is a large parking structure nearby that has free one hour parking. I have noticed the menu evolve over time so there are always new items to try out in addition to old favorites. I highly recommend this restaurant for tasty Mexican food and the best breakfast burritos.

I have never tasted such revolting, bland corn on the cob in my life. Despite being cut in half, they charged an exorbitant price as if it were organic and full-sized. If you plan to visit, save your money and steer clear of this dish.

Overall, not bad. Service was decent. Food leans more towards higher quality/artisan and not so authenic Mexican (not good nor bad, just neutral) The Bavarian Creme churros are a must.

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We finally did and wow do I wish we had gone there sooner! My husband is partial to the carne asada burrito, but I think the real stand out is the chicken tinga (tacos or burrito-both are delicious). I am salivating just writing about it! It's not cheap (what is these days?), but it's not going to break the bank- about $25pp for food & a beer.

I ordered the chicken breakfast burrito. Yuck...No flavor at all all they did was fill with eggs without any seasoning and the chicken no flavor and was not tender at all. I tried 3 sauces which is the only reason the burrito had any flavor. I didn't find he it at all..

An amazingly tasty breakfast burrito feat. the house chorizo and add-on of mama's guacamole. Pleasant service and cool vibe with eclectic music that included rap/hip hop music we grew up with (OG oldies), Frank Sinatra, and contemporary stuff. Outdoor seating and good food on a sunny day - can't beat that.

Meh My vegetarian taco was completely soggy and I got charged eight dollars for beans and rice on the side which I thought came with. I haven't been here in a while, and I remember that it was a lot better a few years ago, so maybe something happened in the kitchen...

Well, I just wasted $20.95 on a smaller than average torta with stale chips and tap water. I wish you could return food and be like "hey, this is not good, I want my money back". But instead, we're forced to waste our hard earned money on overpriced food that we're told is good. There should be some kind of deal like if it sucks, we'll remake it or give you your money back. Unfortunately, complaining is looked down upon, so that's a no go. It's funny... everyone can raise their prices, but I don't get paid any more to spend on these special purchases... So when I DO treat myself, I expect it to be actually good or at least better than something I could make at home. Disappointing...

My fave breakfast burrito spot in LA. They have some good sauces though they are not what you expect, kind of chipotle ranch or something something. Get them. The prices were a little high back before COVID, I hope they have kept them semi-reasonable. For more traditional tacos and burritos, it was okay but there are better options.

I have been ordering from Cerveteca Culver City for a long time and have always enjoyed my food. However today, I had the most disturbing thing happen to me as I was eating my order. Two bites into my surf and turf burrito, I bit down on a SCREW! Absolutely unbelievable! I am traumatized and disgusted by this. I bit on the screw with force leaving my tooth permanently chipped and my mouth quite sore. I am thankful the situation was not worse. I could have easily choked on the screw, cut my mouth on the screw, or swallow the screw entirely! The screw could have been exposed to asbestos or other building material. Who knows! This is a major health and safety concern. I reported the incident to Uber Eats, and received a full refund. However, I need the restaurant to take accountability for such a thing to occur. Whenever a person eats at a food establishment, they NEVER expect an industrial tool to be in their food. Where did it come from? How did it end up in my food? How can we ensure something like this never happens again? These are the types of questions I have. I insist there be an internal and external inspection of the restaurant. I've never had issues with Cerveteca until this situation, and it saddens me to write a negative review, but I cannot let this go unrecognized.

Just bit into a cold breakfast burrito that I ordered and picked up right away. Also just remembering why this place sucks for me: (1) average quality (2) almost $15 for a (cold) burrito that doesn't come with any sides, not even chips yet (3) some kind of mayonnaisey salsa that's just gross. Oops my bad. With so many options nearby, I won't forget who's who and what's what next time.

Absolutely the GOAT of breakfast burritos in west LA. Bacon breakfast with guac and spicy mayo. Literally unmatched in taste and flavor. It's eggs, black beans, crispy bacon, hashbrowns and guacamole. Just get it. Thank me later.

I've been here about a dozen times. Always left good reviews but I obviously came at the worst time and will not be returning. These $10 Nachos were disgusting! The chips where extra oily. It's evident they redip the chips in the grease but it wasn't even hot! Just made a puddle of oil at the bottom of the container. The cheese wasn't melted/ hot. It was Clumped and hard to move! Barley any toppings for the amount of chips.! I threw away majority of this. Then I had two shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. Very small tacos for $6 each and when I opened the box the seafood smell was LOUD & rotten. Smelled like I got shrimp that was out for too long! I'm very disappointed. You are too expensive to serve food this bad

I wish it was possible to leave 0 stars. Ordered a Surf & turf burrito and drunken fries. My girlfriend was into her second bite of her burrito until she realized she bit into a SCREW!!!! Unsanitary, unprofessional and clearly not safe! We're lucky she didn't choke on the screw. Accountability needs to be taken.

First time trying their tacos loved their tortillas. They are not stingy with the meat two tacos fill you up nicely. Their aguas frescas and good too. I tried the piña con pepino (pineapple with cucumber).

Lets keep Yelp real!!! This was my spot about 4-5 years ago big breakfast burrito, crispy bacon, crispy potatoes, delicious sauce, and cool vibes. Fast forward to now I was sad that for nearly $30 my wife and I could barely finish the seemingly microwaved breakfast burrito, how can I tell you ask? The tortilla was steaming and the inside cold. The contents seemed mashed together with old bacon, soggy potatoes, flavorless eggs, and absolutely no pride in their product. Im sad now!

One of THE MOST expensive burritos I've ever had ($17.00+ for pick up) and simultaneously one of the driest, smallest and least flavorful. Initially, I was disappointed in the size. But I was even more disappointed when I ate it. I had to drink something with every bite. I'll NEVER go back. And if that wasn't enough, there's a sign boasting "Free parking", but the lot connected to the restaurant isn't it. Plus, there's a security guard hired to harrass anybody who even slows down in the parking lot to read the signs. Just skip this place altogether.

Cerveteca falls into the same dilemma most other restaurants in Culver City face: overpriced and bland. Ordered the drunk fries which were incredibly greasy, and made the fries turn to mush after some time sitting. Meat ratio to overall dish was very minimal, considering the price - You're basically paying $18 for fries and cheese.

I discovered this place with a very hungover friend. It since has been added to the rotation for its breakfast burritos - I love the chorizo, but the chicken is pretty good too. The eggs are fluffy, the potato is crispy, the chorizo is well seasoned, and the salsas are spicy!! My one wish is that the tortilla was crisped up more, but again, that's a personal preference. Portions are huge and each burrito lasts me for 2 meals, hungover or not. If my brother's burps are testimony to the quality of food, this one's a satisfied winner.

Yay after years of walking by this place en route to downtown Culver, I have finally made it My husband (who is Mexican... and I have to point this out because he NEVER trusts Mexican/latinx restaurants I want to try haha) had the barbacoa burrito and I had the barbacoa taco and Baja fish taco. They were both very substantial and left us feeling pretty satisfied! The barbacoa was really juicy and my fish taco was piled 2 inches high. So before we got our food we saw another couple and I met their dog, "Spicy". Call it an omen, or a serendipitous event, but we were about to try their hottest salsa and it was pretty spicy. We both cried and laughed as we said bye to one "Spicy" only to be greeted by another! Luckily my horchata drink was clutch in quenching the fire. It was a "hurts so good" kinda feeling so it was worth getting that salsa. I intend on checking out the rest of the menu whenever I want a quick bite. They sell their handmade tortillas and champolines in front too! Lots of outdoor seating and street parking available. My husband even gave it a 1.5 thumbs up. Now that's progress! One star off for the price. Nearly $30 for what we got (including $1 for a small dollop of guac on my taco). You could definitely spend $10-15 less for the same things at your nearby taco truck. But, you can tell they use quality ingredients and don't skimp on their fillings. Honestly, I could see this restaurant in a very cool part of downtown Tijuana or Mexico City. Will be back for more!

We came here to try the breakfast burritos and wow were we happy!! We've only been here for breakfast so far. We ordered the chorizo, and the bacon burritos and also a large guacamole. The bacon burrito was just perfect for what I wanted. It was big, tasty, crispy on the outside and in, and it was not greasy at all! The tater tots on the inside were so good mixed with eggs and bacon. The fact that they grilled the outside without it coming out wet and greasy was great. The chorizo burrito had more flavor than the bacon burrito but my hungover stomach couldn't handle it, I had one delicious bite of my wife's burrito and left it at that. The guacamole was terrific. it reminded me of a Mexican beach holiday, sounds stupid I know, lol. Seriously it was so fresh and full of lime flavor that the first thing I thought of, was sitting at the beach eating guacamole and chips. The house sauce that comes with the burritos is really good as well. There is a good amount of outdoor seating. Street parking if your lucky but a parking garage with an hour free 1/2 block away. The food came out quick and the employees were really nice. The bonus for me was my wife who likes hot stuff, later that night dipped a chip into the hot salsa not realizing that it was the hot one, and it blew her socks off lolol.

Love their breakfast burrito!! Tacos are decent too, just a bit pricy for what you get. But the convenience to Palms/Culver and outdoor seating are nice

I was lured to Cerveteca, after seeing it listed on Eater LA's list of 20 Essential Breakfast Burritos. For $12, you get eggs, tater tots, cheese, black beans, salsa and your choice of meat (bacon, chorizo or chicken) or veggies for non-meat eaters. Got mine with chorizo (my personal fave) and it did not disappoint! It was a decent size, not massive - I easily ate it all and even had room to eat some of my husband's chips. Will be back for one of their tortas! Metered street parking on Venice and a public parking lot on Cardiff.
