"You’ll find a big tile-covered manor house in the middle of a pedestrian square in the Intendente neighborhood, and between two hardware shops there’s a door. Go through it and up the flight of stairs and you’ll soon be inside what looks like a kitschy old home with vintage furniture and Portuguese memorabilia. Nothing matches, and that’s the point—every room, including the hallways, is different. Relax on the back patio, find a small little corner nook on the first floor, catch some live music or a DJ set on the weekends in the main room, or meander through an art exhibit that’ll likely be running throughout the entire space. "The nightlife epicenter of the neighborhood, quickly became an institution and single handedly made Intendente a new district for going out. It's host to the the coolest music happening in the city, great at confirming emerging talent and one of the main supporters of the so-called Lisbon Zouk Bass or our new generation of psychedelic/surf rockers. And when the locals aren't available they go far at booking the best from overseas." - Nelson Vassalo

I had an amazing time at Casa Independente with friends—it’s the perfect spot to unwind over drinks! The atmosphere is uniquely charming and laid-back, making it a fantastic place to catch up and enjoy the creative vibe. The eclectic decor and cozy setting add to the experience, turning a simple evening out into something truly memorable. The bar served a great selection of drinks, and every moment felt vibrant and relaxed. If you’re looking for a cool spot to hang out in Lisbon, Casa Independente is definitely worth a visit!

It was a very nice evening, even with the rain! But might be better experience during summer. Otherwise it a very good place if you want to have a drinks with friends and meet new people.

No vibe or music on a Monday night so disappointing. Been here 7 years ago and it was amazing, so thought I'd show it to my husband but apart from the cool setting, there was no atmosphere.

‼️in general ⭐⭐⭐ pricey, lovely location and entry fee. Drinks are for around 10€ and compared to other bars they are not too elaborated. We had to pay 5€ entry fee of which only 2€ were deductible, it is not too bad but this is a mainly a bar not a club, and compared to others it doesn't have to offer much more. 🛋️ Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐ the location is lovely, i love the furniture and even the little things have many details behind them. Everything fit and meshes up perfectly. The main problem for me has been the music too loud in the bar rooms. ❗If i have to define the style of the club i would say it's alternative.

No food, not a lot of choice for beers but a nice place to have a casual meeting with friends on the weekends, after 9pm it's packed and you have to pay for entrance

Nice venue with an awesome secluded patio area to enjoy a drink away from hordes of tourists. Small, intimate room where local bands play. If you want to escape the typical touristy areas and traps, check out this place.

Chill and fun location to partying and having good times with friends or to bring your date with. They have everything in a whole HOUSE: Bars, 1 dancefloor, 1 Stage, rooftop bar, terrace, chill lounges, even the toilets are well decorated. Unfortunately there aren't enough toilets.

Yelp
Very cool place to grab drinks. It looks like you are walking inside of an apartment complex and then it opens up to a very cool open space bar. Very hipster inside! Service is great and the bartenders are so kind. I highly recommend checking this place out. Very cool and different!

Yelp
Great hipster discovery in Lisbon! We got it a suggestion but then were not planning to go. Yet, we found it by chance walking around midnight cross Lardo do Intendente. They had a dj that night and the music was filling the whole neighbourhood, so we decided to see what was happening. It is an apartment on the first floor with a couple of rooms and a great terrace/patio on the back. The atmosphere is really really nice and we had a fun night there. They closed around 2.30 though, so maybe next time I would go earlier and also try the food! In my past Lisbon trips I hadn't been to this area of town and it was a very pleasant discovery: there are also other nice bars and shops around.

Yelp
Chill spot to hang out and grab a bottle of inexpensive wine on the patio. Great place to wait in case you have a line for seafood across the street.

Yelp
There's this American guy who shows up with his iPhone and plays some killer tunes. Sometimes they rank people who dance but it's not a big deal. The bar staff are friendly and their shots are very large.

Yelp
Awesome chill spot, so happy it was walking distance From our hotel. Drinks were delicious, great atmosphere and fun vibes.

Yelp
Vera nice and all for drinks, but when I went there for dinner I waited for over 30 minutes, letting them know several times that we were there and waiting to be served (as you can't order food at the counter, they need to come to you), and for several times they said they'd "be right there" but never were. We were not arrogant, we were very polite and we don't mind waiting a while, but this was too much, so eventually we left. I'm very sorry to have had this experience really, since the place is great if all you want is a few drinks.

Yelp
Cozy spot with two floors. One has comfy sofas and a balcony, the other a room for concerts/live music/DJs, a spacious terrace and seats. Definitely recommended!

Yelp
A hipster's dream come true! In a old house you'll find a cheap bar and restaurant with pretty lights, a patio, nice music and rooms decorated as an old mansion.
