Casa dos Ovos Moles em Lisboa

These Ovos Moles were amazing. The place is very nice and cozy, and the coffee is pretty decent as well. Definitely recommend if you cannot make it all the way to Aveiro for the original Ovos.

Cozy casa, offers a selection of the finest Portuguese handmade sweets, which are not cheap but definitely worth the money! The coffee is good and cheap, I'd suggest you to order a Galao for 2€. There are no price tags, so you may ask for a price before you buy it.

This place has very good ovos moles which is a sugary egg yolk mixture inside a thin water in the shape of sea shells. They have other great pastries that are mostly egg yolk and sugar based such as mini fidalgos. The space is small with a few tables but is worth waiting to sit down. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Wow, wow, and again wow. Visited this special pastry shop which is just up the street from our B&B. They specialize in pastries which are made with sugar and eggs from different regions of Portugal. In particular, you must try the "Ovos Moles de Aveiro." They come this particular district and the casing is rice paper, like a communion wafer, but in a variety of different shapes--such as sea shells, barrels, and fish. Very smooth texture. A local confectionary delicacy not to be missed, if you can't visit this region!

Cute store front. I don't think I personally really like ovos moles, hence the review. But, it's a great location, so if you're interested in checking this off of your Portugal sweets list, stop by this place and then walk around this amazing city.
