"The last time we went to Campania And Jones we ate an obscene amount of pappardelle, watched a cat nap in a corner, devoured some tiramisu, drank some wine, and then considered asking if the cat would mind spooning us for a little while. Basically, it was the perfect day. Both the pappardelle with venison ragu and the wild mushroom and ricotta tortelli are essential, so go hungry or don’t go at all." - heidi lauth beasley
"Campania has the most romantic outside seating in London. Its handful of alfresco tables are on a cobbled street off Columbia Road, candlelit come evening, and (preferably) piled with risotto and pappardelle. The pavement seats at this Italian restaurant fill up quickly all year-round—so book ahead." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna
"Around the corner from Columbia Road, on higgledy-piggledy cobbles that feel like a European holiday after too many glasses of wine in the sun, you’ll find Campania & Jones. It’s got mismatched wooden chairs that bring to mind a dusty antique shop run by a Ben Kingsley lookalike, and all around you romances are being formed or rekindled. The Italian dishes aren’t the best in the city, but for pure charm and romantic nook-loveliness, it’s hard to beat this candlelit Hackney spot." - daisy meager, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, sinead cranna, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley, heidi lauth beasley
"Campania & Jones is a restaurant where romances are formed or rekindled, whether that be across the candlelit table, or with a plate of ravioli you’re thinking about eloping with. In fact, pretty much everything about this dreamy Italian spot in Hackney shows off heart and tastefulness. From the back room where pasta is made all day, to the antique and candle-filled space that makes the villa from Call Me By Your Name look like Trainspotting, to the shared table of families tucking into tiramisu. It’s a restaurant filled with love." - rianne shlebak, jake missing, sinead cranna
"London is really good at Italian restaurants and Campania is one of the most charming. Its picturesque setting off Columbia Road and old dairy shopfront makes it seem like someone made a Campania filter, and optimised it for cobbles, candlelight, and pasta. The food here is good, particularly the pappardelle and sage butter gnudi, and it pretty much suits any intimate occasion. If you can get a booking." - jake missing, sinead cranna, daisy meager
