The overall impression of the restaurant left an unpleasant aftertaste. To begin with, the wine menu was so huge in physical size (not in terms of its contents) that it was simply uncomfortable to hold at the table with several people.
Then I asked for a glass of Pinot Grigio, but for some reason I was brought Pinot Noir. At first, I doubted my own mental abilities and didn’t point it out to the waiter right away. After some time, I realised for sure that the mistake wasn’t mine but the waiter’s, and instead of white wine I was served red.
When the food arrived, the presentation was nice, but the actual taste of the dishes, personally, did not impress me. I ate only half of the steak portion simply because I was hungry and didn’t want to deal with it. The only thing I can genuinely praise was the steamed broccoli. It was cooked perfectly.
The final issue was the service afterwards. The waiter didn’t come back to our table, didn’t clear the empty dishes, and didn’t check whether we wanted more drinks. Even paying the bill turned into a bit of an ordeal.
In the end, my husband and I left feeling practically hungry and with mixed emotions. Our friends were also dissatisfied.
I left a tip only because our group was a bit noisy and we might have disturbed other guests.
