The last truly traditional Café Haus -Konditorei in Cologne. There are of course small specialities to eat but mainly one goes there for their wonderful coffee, tea and authentic hot chocolate and then of course there are the magnificent Cakes. 🍰🥮 The service is more than excellent still in the old traditional style a friendliness, competence and paying attention to detail.

Absolutely great selection of fine cakes in an authentic, 1950's ambiance. A great place where you can relax and enjoy a moment of nostalgia. Unfortunately, you can only pay cash. That is not acceptable in 2023.

Food and atmosphere seemed nice, we just stopped to buy a slice of cake from the shop. Sadly we believe we were deliberately short changed, and only realised after leaving the shop. Please make sure you are not overcharged, particularly if you are a visitor from overseas.

The cafe has it's own charm. It feels like traveling back in time 100 years. The lunch menu was fine for 14 Euro. The staff is nice. If you are younger than 40, you will be the youngest person there.

The cake was good, not worth the service though. It took more than 30 minutes to order just a slice of cake (I did not want anything else anymore). The waiter was either delusional, racist or just incompetent. Do not recommend if you have any respect for your time.

This place is more about the experience than the quality and taste of the cakes. We’ve been here twice and both times the cakes were dry and not that brilliant… the coffee itself is a bit old fashioned but still, if u are looking for this atmosphere, go for it.

love love love this tea room!! We went in the afternoon and it was full of older people. The atmosphere is definitely posh but also very warm and inviting. Our waitress didn't speak any English and we didn't speak any German but we were able to get by with pointing and hand gestures. She was this super cute older German lady and she was really nice to us. We got cappuccinos and two slices of cake. I don't remember the exact names but they were both really good and not overly sweet. Great way to relax in the afternoon! Note that this place is cash only. We didn't know that before we went but we were lucky to have cash on hand.

Plain wonderful - you dive into a different world of soft carpets, clinging cutlery and amazing cakes and tarts. Go on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and you will find a wonderful blend of elderly ladies and less elderly gay guys all stuffing themselves with wonderful cream cakes - a peaceful place !!

Repeat everything the others have said. Amazing decor and atmosphere feeling very old and posh. Then see the smiley faces greeting you inside and after that enjoy one or two or maybe even three of the many amazingly inviting and delicious cakes on display.

Not only is the interior of this cafe absolutely outstanding, but all the delicious cakes and pies are to die for! I would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Cologne, because not only is the quality top notch but it's also like going back in time. Absolutely delicious!
