Very charming burger spot. Great atmosphere and very upbeat. The food cane out fast. The burgers are top-notch. The ketup and mustard condiments are so good! Found out they are made in-house and just had to buy them both. I really enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back.

Burger Up Atmosphere (4 stars): This place is located in the trendy district of 12 South. Lots of large glass windows gives it a very open feeling. Has a cozy, pub vibe with the darker walls and wood accents. French Onion Burger (5 stars): I ordered it medium and it was cooked to perfection. The burger was very juicy and flavorful. I held the aioli so no comment on that. I ordered the regular fries and they were the natural cut with skin. Troyathalon Burger (3 stars): For a veggie burger this was very crunchy and dry. It has the consistency of a falafel. The cheese was not melted and the bottom bun was a bit cold. Overall lacked flavor. We upgraded to sweet potato fries. They were thick cut and ok. Staff (4.5 stars): Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Our server did disappear for about 10 minutes when we were ready to order but took our order right away and no issues after. Bonus: They do have a full bar!

We have gone to Burger Up for probably six years or so as a family. I’d say it’s one of the best restaurants in Nashville. -Consistent food and service. I’ve never had a bad experience or poor quality food; ever. -The decor is modern but also comfortable and warm; it’s a nice balance. -Their prices are VERY reasonable honestly, especially for Nashville. I love this place 🙂 Looking forward to going back as much as possible!

Burger Up is a fantastic restaurant located on 12 South, surrounded by a great area with plenty of things to do. The happy hour deals offer some excellent prices on appetizers and drinks. Although not on the happy hour menu I ordered a white sangria that was good, though not the best I've had. The burgers, however, were phenomenal and worth a visit on their own. While I found the regular fries tastier than the sweet potato fries, I regret not trying the truffle fries. The honey mustard and ketchup sauces were unique and stored in Burger Up glass bottles, possibly made in-house. Overall, I highly recommend Burger Up for their delicious burgers and excellent location

I love you burger up. I wish there was more outside seething, and I wish the chairs around the community tables had backs on them. The food tho is unmatched, the aioli and the ketchup are amazing. The troyathlon burger is one of the best black bean burgers I’ve had in my life.

Popped in for a French fry fix. Got them to go but waited inside. Very nice atmosphere and not too loud even though the place was jammed full. Fries were delicious. Seasoned simply with salt and a little pepper. FYI - they processed about half a dozen to go orders while I was there. Efficient.

Super chill! Really approachable spot in 12 South- I popped in for happy hour around 6 on a wednesday and there were some seats in the main area and bar still available. Happy Hour options are really good too! $5 house wine was a real winner - and their house white much actually be my new favorite wine. Service was great,quick and friendly.

Burger Up is one of the most consistent restaurants in Nashville! I've lived here for 10 years and visited over a dozen times, and I've never had a bad experience. The soft lit glow gives off a perfect moody environment and the burgers, salads, etc have always been fantastic. I'm not a big ketchup fan, but I would drink their house made ketchup with a straw. If you're from out of town, Burger Up is a staple here and one of the best restaurant experiences you can have.

You have to check out the 12 South neighborhood when visiting Nashville! This is a beautiful street and shopping area full of great restaurants, bars, and boutiques. The area is much more relaxed than broadway with a quiet and quaint environment. I didn't see any live bands but there are plenty of bars and restaurants with music.

Burger Up is definitely one of the better burger restaurants in Nashville. We had an excellent experience and great food tonight. We were early (6:00), so there was no wait for us. The crowd soon picked up, so the atmosphere was very festive but not over the top. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food was fast, fresh, and delicious. I had the Mr Lewis Patty Melt, which was perfect for a cold December night. My wife had the Troyathon and was very satisfied with it. Troy and Henry were perfect working the bar and great with recommendations. The ambiance had a nice, welcoming, neighborhood feel to it. Definitely give it a try.

I was a little skeptical of this at first. There was no smell of food outside. Place looked kind of plain inside. Took a chance on the burger and soup to be safe. It was love at first bite. Food was bursting in flavor. Price is good. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I live in the neighborhood and have been eating at Burger Up since they opened. They used to be excellent. The restaurant has been through a lot over the years, but previously the quality of food held up. Unfortunately over the past year and a half or so, the food just keeps getting worse with every order. It's almost as if their heart just isn't in it anymore. The most recent burger, just wow. Two soggy bottoms for the bun. Meat that managed to be pink in the middle yet dry as a bone (almost like they are now using an inferior quality cut.) And toppings that even a fast food joint would have rejected. I think I'm done giving them chances. There are too many other much better choices.

Amazing burger and fries. They also had some of their own signature sauces and ketchup. The inside atmosphere was a bit cramped and we could overhear conversations from tables from both sides of us. Depending on what they're talking about and how loud they are this could add or take away from your experience. I would recommend these burgers to anyone that wants to splurge a bit and enjoy one of the best types of sandwiches ever made.

The food was just regular and could take a bit more seasoning for me. The ambiance was nice. Beautifully decorated and swanky. Our server left much to be desired with her attentiveness but she was polite. Good thing was the manager came out and helped so he made up for it. It's on 12 S so parking is a bit hectic but still manageable. I came with a sort of large group (6ppl) so I imagine the experience is better with fewer than 6 ppl. Cute spot.

This is my go to burger spot in Nashville! I got the classic burger and it was so yum. My table also ordered the mac and cheese bites and enjoyed them as well. I typically don't enjoy sweet potato fries but I'd recommend them from here. The interior is warm and open and the staff is friendly. Overall a great experience!

This place is delicious and the staff is very friendly! Brian was our server, and he was very attentive! They also have a solid rotating beer list that was pretty good! We ordered the French onion burger and the chicken sandwich. Loved the fact that they both came with a pickle on the side! So good. The burger was cooked how we asked, medium rare, and was flavorful and juicy. The chicken sandwich was also tasty, but I do think it was missing a little something. They did have the best homemade ketchup I've ever had at a restaurant. It had a little peppery kick! Also both the sweet potato fries and regular were great, and a large portion. We will be back! I do wish I realized you can put yourself on the waitlist before we got there on Yelp! Totally do that before you go! The wait wasn't too long, but it is a nice feature.

Solid burger place but nothing to rave about. The meat and toppings in the burgers are good if you get a specialty burger but they do get messy fast and are on the smaller side. The quinoa burger is unique and pretty tasty. The buns are... meh. However, the fries and onion rings are great. If you go during happy hour there is a large selection of really good appetizers for great prices. I recommend the fry flight and the onion rings. The seating area is cute since you're right in 12 south and there is a lot of natural light, and there is a covered outdoor seating area as well (small though). I have been a few times and unfortunately the service is usually sub par. The hosts at the front are disinterested and it's almost awkward when you walk in because they don't greet you or prompt you to ask for a table. There are a lot of servers in the restaurant but they typically hang around the kitchen and don't check up on the table much.

Eric was our server and gave us the best recommendations for dinner. The 2 sliders were incredible and I love the fact the you can chose those from their full size burger menu. The home made sauces were above and beyond and perfectly complimented their fries. The garlic truffle fries I believe they were called. We're absolutely addicting. Very very happy 10/10 will be back

We came in Sunday around 7 pm and it was absolutely packed,after driving around for like 5 min to find parking, we had to wait like 6-8 minutes for a table, service was great,the place is cute but kind of small it feels like a community dinner table, we order the fry flight and it was delightful and it came with ALOT of fires, but sadly I can't say the same about the burger, It was the most bland burger I ever had in in my life, no flavor, no seasoning, not even salt, and I'm not joking, we think they forgot to put salt because they were in a rush which is kind of understandable, but how is it still possible to forget salt? Well that my only complain but it's definitely a good place for $8 fry flyer

Don't get the burgers, they have the potential to taste fresh but the amount of grease they use covers that up. Service and environment/ambiance were spot on. Fancy-looking place if you wanna dress up for a date, but people also go in casual. Overall, I'd say it's not amazing, but it is decent. (also, the bathrooms are clean and decorated very nicely)

I ordered the Woodstock burger which was a great choice. This is easily going to be one of my favorites on their menu. The service of the restaurant is also wonder. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The restaurant, while always packed and busy, did not have a lot of a wait time. Parking on 12 South is generally a little tricky, but there are plenty of side streets where you can park for free if you don't mind walking a little bit. Definitely an area of Nashville that is nice to walk through on a warm day

If you need a great burger and you're in the city of Franklin, then you'll need to stop by Burger Up. Their best burger is by far the Woodstock burger. Great flavors with slab of bacon on a yummy bun - totally hits the spot. I got the house cut fries, but I wouldn't recommend them since they were really oily. I wish I would have chose a different side. The restaurant is very clean, open, bright, and has great servers. Worth stopping by for a bite to eat!

We were excited about trying this restaurant on our vacation to Nashville but we were very disappointed. First, the price for the food and drinks is ridiculous. We got 2 burgers and 2 drinks with a ticket amounting to 85 dollars. My husband's bison burger was absolutely disgusting. He ate 2 bites and then just ate fries. We told the server and they said "they could not take it off at this point." It made my husband physically sick and ruined the rest of the night because he was sick to his stomach. Would not recommend this place.

Had high hopes but was just barely happy with my sub optimal burger & rings. Had the Black and Blue burger and while the meat was cook as expected the blue cheese was sadly almost non existent. The bun was warm and soft and was the star. The Onion Ring Tower sounded promising and looked nice but the rings were over cooked and basically fell apart with each bite to show only a sliver of a tasteless supposedly vadalia onion. The prices would have been very fair if the quality was better. On a side not the service was excellent, the chicken sandwich and salad my wife had was very much on point but this is a burger place so I expect better.

I read the reviews and people LOVE the burgers and fries. So maybe it's me. We came and ordered potato skins. First, I have never had such small potatoes ever at a restaurant. We did order two burgers along with their fries. The burger and fries were overly bland. There was no seasoning or anything at all to wow me. I think the burgers I have had at fast food places are a million times better than here. Based off of what we ate, I have no idea at all how this has even remotely the great reviews this place does. Then again, maybe it's the time when we came.

Burgers so good you'll dance in your seat. My girlfriend told me I was obligated to post a review given my over the top love affair with my Hawaiian Burger which was the special in early May. All of the flavors hit just right, the cheese was melty and stretchy with every bite, and the teriyaki was mouth watering. We went for the fried pickle chips. We left with a new favorite meal.

For a chain, burger up was pretty exceptional. Although I didn't get the burger, the soup was exactly what I was hungry for and unlike any chicken noodle I've had before. If you have food allergies, this restaurant is not for you. they do not take allergies seriously enough. they may not serve your allergy on your plate, but the cross contamination behind the scene is for real. Management was extremely rude when questioned about allergies, and after receiving our food with contaminated pieces were told they could not accommodate anymore.

Foil-wrapped to-go burgers have become a way of life for me these days. Burger Up's takeout game is strong -- my go-to, the Double Up burger, is just as delicious at home as it is in the restaurant. The burger is taller than it is wide. So every bite is a mouthful. The two beef patties are lightly seasoned. But thanks to the high quality of beef, they don't need a lot. They were cooked a little unevenly, but no part was too over- or under-cooked. The slices of American cheese were oozing off the sides of the patties like lava. The thick crinkle-cut pickles added a vinegary tang to each bite. I wish the onions were grilled, but they were so thin that they didn't have much of an impact on the sandwich. I believe there was a bit of the delicious house dijonnaise sauce on top, but not enough to stand out. Thankfully, it came on the side as well. The side of sweet potato fries was HUGE. Easily enough for two people. They're hand-cut and a tad bit "mushy," which I like but I know others don't. The sweetness of the potatoes paired with the sprinkling of salt on top. My bag also included a cup of what I believe is their house ketchup. It's a little watery and has a smoky, tomato-esque flavor that is familiar, but I can't think of what it is. It's okay in moderation. Burger Up, as always, gets two thumbs up from me.
