Shannon and the Brix team were SO WONDERFUL! They truly made planning for our wedding so easy. The team was flexible and communicative! The food was AMAZING! We truly loved every thing their team made us! Every guest at our wedding was sure to mention how good the food was! You cannot go wrong with their team. If you need a catering team for your wedding or really truly any event, I 100% recommend the Brix Team!

The team over at Brix catering went above and beyond for our event this past weekend! Due to a venue change for my brother and sister-in-law's baby shower, we needed someone fast! Julia was extremely responsive, as well as very helpful as I was planning this from afar! She checked in with me about multiple details and dealt with my mother and I making last minute menu changes. Working with Julia, Zach and the entire Brix Catering team is a dream. Their professionalism, high quality food and exquisite presentation left an amazing impression on our guests and gave us peace of mind during wedding planning. We first worked with Brix for a client event in November 2017 and then knew we'd love to have Brix cater our wedding. The food was PHENOMENAL and just so many levels above traditional wedding catering and food. We had a great time collaborating on batch cocktails, menus (tastings :) ) and rentals. We highly recommend Brix for any of your catering needs, including wedding.

Brix catered a milestone birthday party for my boyfriend, and two weeks later, people are still talking about the food! Julia and her team couldn't have been better partners. They were creative, flexible, and accommodating, and the food was just absolutely delicious - everything you want in a caterer! Takeout order: Chicken wings and fries were fantastic and piping hot! Their branded beer was also a great pilsner. HOWEVER, the schnitzel was nearly inedible... Cold and tough. The burger also seemed like it had been cooked an hour earlier, then placed in our bag at room temp. We had to microwave it to eat. Overall, disappointed in the meal.

Absolutely FABULOUS!! Marilyn made the planning process a breeze. I did not have to think about anything, because she had it all handled! The chef, Shannon prepared a phenomenon menu and the food was beyond delicious! The servers and bartenders were wonderful, and left not one guest needing anything! Thank you BRIX CATERING!

What an awesome catering company! We have used them on multiple occasions and each time they go beyond what is normal. From their exceptional food, their professionalism, and their prompt service, they are the easiest people to work with. Plus they have the most beautiful space right on the north side in Roscoe Village with a roof top deck. Give them a try!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Unprofessional, overpriced, overrated. Disgusting all around. Look elsewhere for catering.

They were the Fooda restaurant for the day at my job and man oh man are they good! I tried the sauteed shrimp, with mushroom and cream tomato sauce and it's the BOMB!! Full of flavor with the perfect amount of shrimp, mushroom and sauce. Everything on the menu looked good. I think they only cater specific events and do not have an actual walk in restaurant, but if they decide to come back to River Point, I will be there with bells on!

This review doesn't have anything to do with Brix' actual catering - it may be excellent. This review is for their professionalism in the proposal process. We reached out to Brix as a potential caterer for our event and they eventually followed up with a proposal. In contrast to similar proposals from their competitors, their prices were about $2,000 over every other quote we received for very comparable services. We let them know that this was out of budget for us, and they told us they were flexible and would create a new proposal for us by a deadline they specified. That deadline came and passed; no proposal. Then we followed up and got a new deadline; no proposal. If you're planning a special event: wedding, anniversary, etc - You don't want to leave things up to chance. Drastic price difference aside, Brix quickly exhibited they didn't care enough to meet their own deadlines or even follow up with us to give us updates. That's not the kind of company I'd trust to be attentive throughout the process of planning with them.

An absolute must! I threw a 40th birthday party for my sister at their event space on Roscoe and it was perfect. The space is great and the team is easy to work with and very accommodating. The food was incredible and very well planned out to keep the party happy and full. I would highly recommend using their event space for any sort of party or gathering.

Brix is fantastic. We ordered the Thanksgiving box and, based on that, from their dinner menu for Christmas - both were absolutely delicious. Super communicative and no problems ordering. Will definitely order from Brix again.

Brix is simply the best. Zack, Chef Joe and team could not be nicer and more accommodating. I was introduced to them through a mutual friend whom I asked for suggestions on catering companies. After our first catering order, I immediately added them to our preferred vendor list at the Conference Center at my work in downtown Chicago. Brix has always been professional yet personable, on-time, and even able to assist in last minute needs. I have been passing their information on to nearby office buildings and friends as they are by far one of the top catering groups I have worked with in my 10+ years in the Chicago hospitality industry. I worked with Brix for a party at my house. I opted for the pick-up option. Pros-- Julia was great to work with--responsive, engaged-- and Brix worked well with our theme. They came up with some really imaginative, fun ideas and the food was really cool, visually. Cons--while some of what we picked up could simply be heated, two of the 5 items had to be assembled by us and we weren't given a heads up about that in advance, nor much instruction, nor was anyone available by phone to check in with. Consequently, we simply weren't prepared to handle the amount of work that we ended up needing to do prior to serving. Also, frankly, the food wasn't that good. The pastry crust for one of the items was, for example, really lardy. Also, Brix didn't include labels for the dishes so we ended up having to stand by the buffet table to tell everyone what each thing was and whether it contained meat or not, etc. Given that the prep was more intense than I'd bargained for, I didn't have a chance to print labels myself nor was I expected to. Finally, I'd asked a few times if Brix would provide sternos and racks for warming. Julia had said in our initial consult that they would, but I never received email confirmation. So while I was able to get everything out, we didn't have a way to keep things warm while they were out, so, of course, everything got cold. For the price (which wasn't cheap) I expected better food, better communication about serving it, and better care overall on the day of. Sadly, I wouldn't work with them again.

The entire Brix team was nothing but amazing! We met shortly after our engagement while both working on a photoshoot - as soon as I tasted their food I knew I needed to share this with our wedding guests! From our first tasting to the day of our wedding everyone provided quality service and was very accommodating. They did everything from providing custom food options to working around food allergies. Julia also went above and beyond and met me for every rental appointment to make sure I didn't forget anything. Her background in wedding planning was so helpful and she didn't miss a beat. The repeated phrase at our wedding was "This doesn't taste like wedding food!". We could not have asked for anything more - Brix helped to make our wedding day unforgettable.

I wanted to have a great experience as the reviews suggested but I was left disappointed. I submitted a quote request for a birthday event almost a month before the date. I received a standard email with the menu and a link to schedule a phone call. I scheduled said phone call for the following day at 11:30 am. The call was supposed to be 15 mins long. I waited for this phone call with a 15 minute grace period but no one called me. I reached back via email and received a response from Julia about how she was on a conference call an whether a phone call was ok then. Since I was already in the gym at that point, I responded with no but sent a list with the items I wanted to order. No one followed up with me, again. I reached back the following day and received an email that I will be getting a quote by the afternoon. 24 hrs later still no quote. I emailed again and, at this point, received a quote with the wrong quantities as well as a notification that Julia will be out of the office and that Marilyn had been copied to the email chain to answer any questions. In looking at the email I noticed no Marilyn had been copied. I emailed Julia requesting a quote revision. This morning I received an email from Julia advising me that Brix had accepted a large catering order for the same date and that they can no longer provide service to my event. I am in no way invalidating other experiences, just mine wasn't great.

We use Brix Monthly. The food is outstanding- high quality, nicely presented, good value, and tasty every time. Thanks for making meeting so easy for us Brix!

Really nice event space very homey feel but upscale chill at the same time. Great catering options and friendly people.

We just used Brix catering to cater our wedding that we did as a surprise party for our 50+guests at our home. I wish I could give them 10 stars as they deserve it. I don't know what I loved more the food or their service because both were equally amazing. Zach, Conor, Julia and all the people that work for Brix couldn't of been more professional, nicer, more caring and thorough if I wanted them to be. They covered everything I could think of and more. My guests were beyond thrilled with them. Now the food, the food was amazing. We had multiple appetizers, entrees, sides, etc and everything not just one thing were amazing. The food was so good that there were not any leftovers and we had soooo much food. Everything was there on time, on budget and excellent just as Zach said it would be from day one. It was a such a pleasure to work with everyone at Brix....... I will not hesitate in using them again and I will recommend them to all my fiends and family.

We used Brix to cater two events for our school. Zach was wonderful and the food was amazing. They take care to make your event perfect!

Brix was fantastic. They made every aspect of our wedding a breeze. Julia and the team helped us feel at ease and everything was delicious.

My favorite service from Brix Catering is their Brix Boxes. The pre-made meals are delivered the day before the "event" (I ordered the Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day boxes). The Thanksgiving box was one of my favorites because instead of spending the whole time in the kitchen arguing with my mother, I got to spend just a portion of it in the kitchen reheating the meal and the rest of my time with my family sharing stories and drinking wine. I know it goes against holiday tradition ... but there was no fighting or yelling this year. The food was incredible! My mom and dad are asking if I'm doing this again for this year's Thanksgiving - the answer is yes! AND...I'm doing Christmas too! The Valentine's Day box was just as yummy and convenient. Since my husband and I are working parents we wanted to do a special dinner; yet, we didn't want to go out, meaning we would be left to cook. Thankfully Brix did another box promotion and again it was just as delicious and easy. My husband and I were thrilled with how the food turned out and how we got to do exactly what we wanted. Spend a wonderful dinner together at home while the kiddo slept.
