Phaea Blue, a member of SLH | Elounda, Crete

Our first trip to Crete and we were fortunate in finding such a special hotel. An amazing location, truly outstanding quality and service with the most attentive, friendly and helpful staff. It is quiet and serene, the pool area is delightful, the private beach is stunning. The rooms are luxurious with excellent amenities. Breakfast each morning was a veritable feast. The beautiful village of Plaka is a three minute walk away with its bars and restaurants. We had a small issue day one but this was quickly and effectively dealt with by the excellent Lina and her team. Cannot recommend more highly.

We had a lovely stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The welcome from the staff and their service is second to none. The golf buggy service down to the beach, road and restaurants works well and means you don’t have to trek up any hills! The hotel room was comfy, clean, lovely view. The balcony was very large - it would have been nice to have sunbeds on the balcony as there was plenty of space. Breakfast was wonderful, as was all the food we had here and at the Blue door. We loved getting the speedboat via the hotel to Spinalonga meaning we could leave at 9am and beat the crowds - we pretty much had the place to ourselves and when we left about 10:30am it was heaving with big crowds to get in! My only suggestion is the hotel could reduce the use of individual plastic water bottles which they give out at the pool and beach - these could easily be replaced with a water cooler for guests to help themselves to.

Haven on earth! For those who know old Blue Palace, the new Phea Blue Palace keeps the same distinct quality and exceptional location but with a more intimate vibe. The design is superb. We did not realise before that that side of the old hotel was so green and lush, the garden is an oasis of calm and the service remains the distinctive quality of this place, the entire personnel is extraordinary. We just missed the very big swimming pool by the beach and the other beach-side bar and restaurant but we understand this is temporary the time the other side of the hotel will be redone and reopen. Already looking forward to the next year’s trip to this Crete oasis.

Blue Phaea in Crete was an exceptional stay for us, with top-tier service from start to finish. Located in a prime area, walking distance to vibrant spots, the hotel offered stunning scenery, clean facilities, and delicious food. We were here on a bit of work and a bit of pleasure.||||The entire staff truly went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable.||||Maria was outstanding at breakfast, always ensuring our mornings started on the perfect note. Manos, the concierge, really knew his stuff—every recommendation he made was spot-on. Dimitrius deserves special mention for helping us with a night swim in the sea, making it a memorable experience.||||The whole team provided 5-star service, from the bell staff to the front desk. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

We stayed at the Phaea Blue Palace for the five nights we were in Crete on our Greece honeymoon trip. The resort was very beautiful and in a nice location, nearby Plaka, Elounda, and Agios Nikolas. The resort welcomed us with a bottle of red wine and a fruit plate, and also provided us with a bottle of champagne and local Greek wedding pastries to celebrate our honeymoon. The views of the Crete mountains and the nearby sea were very nice from our suite’s balcony as well as from other parts of the resort. All staff we interacted with were super friendly and willing to go above-and-beyond for us. The resort also includes a complimentary breakfast, which included an a-la-carte menu as well as a small breakfast buffet, with many delicious options (including some local Greek specialities). We also ate at both of the hotel’s restaurants, used the hotel’s gym, did a wine tasting on-site, and got a massage at the spa. All of these experiences / amenities were incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Phaea Blue Palace, and would urge anyone visiting Crete to stay at this resort.

We stayed at the Phaea Blue Palace with my family in early June, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our room featured a private swimming pool with breathtaking views of Spinalonga, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Although one side of the hotel was closed and the elevator to the beach was out of service, the hotel provided golf cart rides down to the beachfront..||||The hotel is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated with art and flowers, creating a calming and elegant atmosphere. Our room was incredibly spacious, and the luxurious bath products—soaps and lotions—had the most incredible scent. The housekeeping team was attentive to every detail, even folding our clothes. An exceptional touch was when my mum admired the dried flowers in the lobby, and the next day, an arrangement of dried flowers was placed in our room for her to enjoy. Those small, thoughtful gestures made our stay feel personal and warm.||||Breakfast each morning was a highlight. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was also fantastic. The freshly made Greek yogurt was the best we had on our entire trip. It was served to our table with an array of toppings. The à la carte options were equally delightful, featuring the freshest ingredients. We also appreciated that the staff was experienced yet never overbearing, which can sometimes happen in luxury hotels.||||The beach area was equally impressive. It was clean, and the service was top-notch without being overly expensive. We loved that they provided towels, cold water, and even sunscreen. A rental shop on-site with SUPs, boats, and more made it easy to enjoy water activities. It was great to leave our belongings at our beach chairs and casually head out to paddle.||||Another perk was the hotel’s proximity to the nearby town, which was a pleasant walk for lunch. We enjoyed strolling into town, grabbing lunch, and returning for an afternoon swim and a bottle of rosé on the beach—pure bliss :).||||Overall, we highly recommend the Phaea Blue Palace. The price is absolutely worth it for the quality of the experience. This is, without a doubt, our favourite hotel in Greece, and we look forward to returning.

We ate at Anthos, Blue door and the beach bar, all great and super friendly staff, both in the hotel itself and down at the beach. Breakfast was awesome! We also walked in to Plaka several times and ate at Ocean, Giorgio’s and Gorgona, which were also lovely. We took a boat trip brother bay which was fun and Spingoloa was fascinating.

We recently stayed at the Blue Palace. The part of the hotel we stayed in was not only beautiful but also wonderfully peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. I really appreciated that it wasn’t crowded, which made our stay even more enjoyable.||The staff at Blue Palace truly was friendly and helpful, but I want to give a special shoutout to Georgina and Manos. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay more comfortable, enjoyable, and truly memorable. It's clear that they take pride in ensuring guests have a fantastic experience.
