Batik Costa Rica

Absolutely love Batik. I would say it’s luxury surf accommodations & more like high-end private bungalows. Antonio & Sonia are great to work with. There’s also an amazing black cat who is extremely loving & helps keep other critters away.

Batik is a dream come true! It is perfectly maintained and clean, its staff always helpful and cheerful. We feel like home, it's amazing.||Both owner and concierge are very kind to us, just like old friends from the first sight! The beach is so close - just a few steps away - that you can smell the salty air and listen to the ocean waves. And my husband can surf everyday! We love this place! Our Villa is so cozy, well furnished and with a lot of privacy. Large sunny deck and pool, fully equipped kitchen and many other leisure facilities :) ||The big bed is very comfortable and with several pillows, every night we have our best sleep, rocked by the sounds of Nature. ||We highly recommend this property. We hope to come back next year, meanwhile, we enjoy this marvellous experience. ||Viviana and Emanuele :=)

Batik was a gem. An incredible stay, with a jungle feel just walking distance from one of the most beautiful and wild beaches on earth, Hermosa. Batik has the highest quality in terms of design, service, comfort, cleanliness. We stayed in Casita Macondo and loved the open structure and outdoor table, hammok and shower. We also had good wifi for our work needs.|Augustine is the most welcoming person and is amazing at supporting any need (from best restaurant recommendations to connecting with local fishermen), always with a contagious smile. |We took surf lessons from a great local instructor David Steller from lowtidecr.com, he was really good at providing tailored coaching and sharing his love for the ocean.|Would highly recommend the full experience!

So much I could say here... just got back from a resort review trip and Batik was absolutely my highlight. My villa had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, a relaxing pool and luxuriously designed & decorated open concept living space. From the moment the gate to the property opened up, the experience was amazing. I was instantly greeted with a smile by Isabella the concierge (who provided me so much info prior to arrival via e-mail) who was extremely helpful, friendly and available to arrange anything I needed to make my stay comfortable and memorable. I really wish I could have stayed longer in this luxurious paradise. The property itself is very private and relaxing and steps from one of the best surf beaches in the world, which I of course sampled! Isabella dropped by daily to check in and make sure I had everything I needed and to offer any suggestions I may want in terms of activities or places to eat. She had also arranged an ATV for daily transportation to the town, which came in very handy for trips to lunch, dinner, sight seeing and exploring this beautiful region of Costa Rica. My profession is fitness and active travel, so my purpose for coming to Batik was to truly experience beautiful Santa Teresa and the top resorts in the region. I left feeling so relaxed and accomplished at the same time. I would highly recommend this resort for couples or families who want a relaxing yet active vacation with a luxurious place to call home. You need nothing but your desire to enjoy paradise as the Batik villas are fully equipped and Isabella can arrange anything from transportation, to massage & surf lessons, to a private chef or nanny. Love it, love it, love it... and will absolutely return here. Thank you Batik!

Batik is a great spot in Playa Hermosa. This was our second visit and would stay again. The staff is great- very helpful in logistics getting to the property, planning excursions, meals, etc. There are ~ 5 villas and a couple 1BR units. They are all walking distance from the beach through ‘the jungle’ filled with howler monkeys. We stayed in Batik Blue which is a 3BR / 2BA. The villa is open air but each BR has an AC unit we used at night. The villa has a full kitchen, various sitting areas, and a pool. The landscaping is lush with humming birds being a daily sight. The property is far enough from the crowds in Santa Teresa but close enough for a quick drive in. One of our fav spots! 👍🏻👍🏻🏄🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️

Absolutely beautiful, safe, and near an amazing beach. Go with other people (we were two couples) and pay a little extra. It's worth every penny! The high-quality villas with pools are the best. Plan on doing some shopping and make meals in your villa. It's a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica (but, beware the roads down south are rough).

Overall a 10/10 review of this beautiful place to stay. You are very secluded with a private beach as well as a manager that cares. Your provided with everything you need here and I couldn’t ask for a better person than Antonio, the villa manager, to help and take care of anything you need. Overall if your looking for a beautiful location with a top of the line staff, this is the place for you. I would highly recommend staying here because of the staff and the willingness to help out the guests with anything they need, not to mention the beautiful views and how easy it is to get anywhere.

Batik is a beautiful location to host small weddings, elopements and intimate events!! Each villa feels very private and secluded, and the grounds are impeccably maintained. It's a photographers dream with all of the Balinese touches and tropical flora. 5 star venue!
