"Pastoral, Lakeview. Pastoral is a wine and cheese kinda place. Or cheese and wine, depending on your priorities. The quaint deli counter space here also offers sandwiches to order and some local packaged goods. But did I mention the cheese? They know their stuff. Also, not pictured here, is their space next door that opens in the evening, Bar Pastoral. That's a place where they embrace their knowledge of wine – and is a popular neighborhood date spot."

Great place for a date night. Nice ambiance and wasn't packed for a Thursday night. I started with a glass of Brut, nice selection of cheeses and charcuterie. My date had the trout and I had the Gnocchi, her fish was good, but my gnocchi was overly salty, I couldn't finish it. They do Raclette on Sundays. I want to go back. Service was nice, wine recommendations were good.

Great selection of cheese with good wine, spreads/jams, and fresh bread to go with it. Their dinner entrees are delicious as well, but portions are pretty small for the price. It's a small place, so make sure to make reservations if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall- I'd recommend for the wine and cheese, but not for a real dinner because portions are so small. It's delicious though! Service can be quite slow as well, so don't go if you're in a hurry

Great selection of cheese with good wine, spreads/jams, and fresh bread to go with it. Their other menu items are delicious as well. We tried two kinds of cured pork, meatballs and tomato soup and I can definitely recommend everything we had. It's a small place, so make sure to make reservations if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall, I'd say that if you like wine, cheese and a charming setting you should definitely check Bar Pastoral out.

This place is great! The market side has amazing cheese that changes week to week, with wine for every price range. They are very generous about samples (mainly of cheese). Great for interesting honeys, jams, crackers, desserts too. The restaurant has yummy food and good specials - the brunch on Sat & Sun is great too. Service has always been spot on.

The service here is just so good, very friendly staff! You can always ask about the best wine and cheese pairings and they’ll be more than happy to help you out. Once my order for brunch was served after a significant wait because they were short staffed and it was crowded, I was given my meal for free. The food is great too but the portions are smaller than most other places. They have the best black bean sliders I’ve ever tasted.

This place isn't bad, though a bit overpriced. I had the chicken and waffles, which arrived tepid at best. They were offering bottomless mimosas for $17, which was very tempting. Overall, I wasn't terribly impressed. I felt like the flavors were a little simplistic. The coffee was decent, but not outstanding. On the plus side, there was absolutely no wait on a Saturday around noon.

Great food and drinks! We went for their 15th anniversary for brunch. I got the "Orange Screwdriver" which was great. I also had the hash. The hash was good, but was a little on the oily side. I would recommend brightening it up with some acid, like a tiny bit of a lemon vinaigrette sprayed on top along with a dash of kosher salt flakes. Thanks for the wonderful experience, Pastoral!

The wines, the cheese, and the service are all great at Bar Pastoral. The atmosphere and the ambiance in Bar Pastoral is perfect for any date night, or as a group night with friends. It is quiet, nice, and the food is incredible. Furthermore, the staff is very knowledgeable, and great with recommendations and answering any questions. Also, their outdoor seating is a great option for a nice evening or afternoon. They also offer specials and daily deals - which allows you to try new varieties and different options that you may not have tried otherwise.
